Instead of replying, Lily got out a bag of frozen peas and a towel and handed them over to him.

"Lucivar always uses peas," she said, just daring him to object.

Clint shrugged.

"I've used everything from rice to snow," he said, taking the peas and the towel. "Grab me the cling wrap."

Lily handed that over too, giving him a minute as she checked on dinner and Robin to make sure the puck wasn't getting into too much trouble.

Clint secured the ice pack to his arm with the plastic wrap and then went over to sit on the counter and watch the other two.

"Robin, we already have a hundred dishes, we don't need anything else. Besides, we've got the ice cream already," Lily said, not quite getting in the way yet as she watched him do who-knew-what with chocolate and cream.

"It's always best to have choices," Robin replied as he whisked the chocolate and cream together in a saucepan. And he might have possibly been showing off his culinary skills for her, but he wasn't about to admit to that.

Lily snorted at that, but she did grin when he added some whiskey to the sauce. And, okay, yeah, she could get behind that. She was even most of the way relaxed again, now that her guys were home and safe.

Clint blinked at the number of dishes already done.

"Did I miss the part where you guys invited Steve or Thor to dinner?" he asked. "Because you damn well cooked enough food for them."

"Blame him," was Lily's immediate response as she pointed at Robin. "This was all his idea, I was just in charge of the rice."

"Now you take responsibility for the rice," Robin teased. "I thought that was my fault?"

"It was your fault, you were distracting me," Lily promptly shot back with a grin. "So it's your fault. Indirectly."

"It was or it wasn't," Robin pointed out. He grinned. "Now here, the sauce is done, make sure it's warm when you put it on the ice cream."

Lily stuck out her tongue at him. "You two go ahead and serve yourselves, I'm going to go drag Lucivar in," she said, touching Robin's shoulder and then Clint's shoulder as she passed.

"You do that," Clint said as he grabbed a plate. Robin rolled his eyes at Clint, but took a plate as well.

Lily headed outside to get Lucivar, figuring he was out there somewhere sunbathing or lounging in a tree or something. Sometimes he did things like that.

"Lucivar?" she called when she didn't see him immediately.

"Up here," Lucivar called from the porch roof. "How are they behaving inside?"

"Well enough. Robin's finishing up dinner, Clint's already at the table and probably half-way through his first plate." Lily smiled fondly. "He's fine, just a developing bruise. Fortunately."

It took Tony a little while longer than Clint to get back to his group, mainly because he had to actually deal with the debrief and a bit of clean up. Then he went over his suit to make sure there was nothing wrong, and then he texted Charles that he was heading back with pizza.

And then he figured screw that and texted Heather, too.

I'm heading back with pizza. What kind do you like?

"Good," Lucivar said. "I can double check later and make sure he's really fine, if you want me to."

Heather blinked at the text, but smiled. She hadn't been expecting him to start texting her directly so soon.

Meat lover's.

"We'll see," Lily said. "Might not need to if we end up settling down enough. Now get down here and come inside, I made sure there's stuff you'll like in the vast array of food."

Okay, cool, I can do that, be there in half an hour. Tony had Jarvis send off his normal order, plus her request, plus a smaller plain cheese pizza in case anyone wanted something so boring.

Lucivar snorted a bit, but came down from the roof.

"I don't see those two settling for a while yet," he said as he fanned and folded his wings. "Not completely, at least."

Doors will be open, Heather replied. She sighed a bit and finally relaxed now that Tony had checked in.

"Probably not," Lily agreed with a little sigh. "But we'll see, I guess." She took a moment to move over and hug him.

Charles smiled at that, leaning back next to her. Yes, this was much better.

It took Tony a little less time than he'd thought to pick up the pizzas and make his way back to Heather's house, and then he sauntered in with giant pizza boxes. He was a little banged up but not bad, overall.

Lucivar returned the hug and then gently nudged her back inside. He wanted to make sure she had dinner before he left her to her own devices again.

Heather looked over when she saw Tony.

"There you are," she said, getting up. "You're alright? Nothing broken or anything?"

Lily rolled her eyes at that but walked inside with him, going to see how much of the food the two had managed to devour without them.

"Nope, nothing broken," Tony said. "Honest, just some dings and bruises, nothing major, we all got off pretty easy this time."

Clint was already going back for seconds, but Robin seemed to be taking his time.

"There you are," the puck said when Lily came back in. "I was beginning to think I would need to restrain your bottomless pit in order for you to have your pick."

"You swear?" Heather pressed, looking him over. "The news footage show you taking a couple of nasty hits."

Lily chuckled. "Nah, not this time," she said, going to get her own food. "Although I doubt we'll have as many leftovers as I was expecting."

"The suit took the brunt of that, that's what it's for, honestly, I'll have repairs to do later but that's later. I'm good, really." Tony shot her a quick grin.
