Clint just grinned.

"Nah, there'll be leftovers, unless your guy over there has a habit of eating his weight in food," he said, tilting his head a bit to Lucivar. "I won't assume one way or the other, since I've met guys who do that."

"As long as you're okay," Heather said, settling back in again. She cracked a bit of a grin. "You looked like a gaudy, expensive pinball for a bit there."

Lily chuckled and shook her head. "Not normally," she said. "Although there are certain things..." She grinned. Because of course she knew all those things.

Tony snorted. "I'm sure Jarvis would agree with you," he said. "But come on, at least you got the gaudy and expensive part right." He waggled his eyebrows a bit.

Clint just snorted and handed her a clean plate.

Heather rolled her eyes a bit.

"Well, settle in," she said. "Nobody touched the tv you were working on."

Lily settled in to dinner with them, much more relaxed now. But she did sit next to Clint this time.

Tony grinned. "Excellent, I'll be able to finish that up later," he said, opening a pizza box and pulling out a slice. Charles had plates out, but who needed plates?

Heather took a slice of pizza as well, although she did accept a plate from Charles. Then she settled back on the couch to watch Tony tinker with the tv.

Over the next two weeks or so, Tony and Charles both noticed Daemon leaving Heather's room twice. Once he looked normal, and they guessed the two had just been talking. But the other time, he'd been rather disheveled, in a way that only meant one thing. Tony had cackled a little, and Charles had just smiled, because they'd both guessed, but they hadn't been sure they were right until Daemon had unwittingly given them proof.

Lily, on the other hand, had spent the night in Lucivar's room a few times, although only once in anything less than an innocent way.

But more worrisome to her was the fact that she woke up from a nightmare, and her first thought wasn't to go cuddle in with Lucivar. Instead, she wanted to go curl up with Clint, and that hadn't happened before. Thus the internal flailing and general distractedness all through the morning.

They had all noticed how distracted Lily was.

"You alright?" Clint asked as he worked on making breakfast. A platter of bacon sat on the counter, and he easily cracked a few eggs into the pan the bacon had just vacated.

"Yeah, no, I'm good," Lily said, looking at him and quickly looking away again. "Just kind of tired, is all." She stretched a bit and got up to make herself some tea, because if she just sat there for much longer she was going to go a little stir crazy.

"You sure?" Clint asked. "You don't seem like yourself." Reaching over, he grabbed a mini-bagel out of the bag and tossed it to her. "Catch. Obviously, you need something to eat."

Lily managed to catch the mini-bagel, looking at it for a few moments before she set it on her plate. "I'm not that hungry this morning." She took the kettle off just before it started to whistle, putting her tea in to steep. "Just because you constantly think I need food does not mean I need food."

"You do need food," Clint replied. "Last meal was over twelve hours ago, you need food. Take an egg and some bacon and eat a mini breakfast sandwich and I'll back off."

Lily wavered for a moment before she sighed and nodded. "Fine," she grumbled, letting her tea finish steeping before she went back to the table to assemble her little sandwich.

Clint nodded once when he saw her starting on her bitty sandwich and went back to fixing the rest of breakfast.

Lily eyed him a little but finished her sandwich and kind of curled around her tea. Maybe that was why she'd had the brief urge to go see him, he was actually pretty good at taking care of her.

Once the eggs were done and the mini-bagels were toasted, Clint moved everything to the table.

"Alright, breakfast is made, it's all up for grabs," he said.

Lily looked at Clint again before she shook herself and got up, muttering something about a shower, and headed back up to her room. She needed to figure out what was going on with her.

The guys just let her go. She was obviously not feeling like herself at the moment, and if she wanted some time alone, they'd give it to her.

Lily didn't really emerge for the rest of the day. She came down for dinner but told them to watch a movie or something before she headed back upstairs. She figured Lucivar would come invade a little later to find out what was going on. Subtle he was not.

Lucivar did indeed go upstairs to find out what was going on. He knocked on the door to her room.

"Lily?" he called.

"You can come in," Lily said. She was sitting in her bed with Howl's Moving Castle playing quietly, because she wasn't really paying attention to it.

Lucivar nodded and went into her room, closing the door behind him.

"Tell me what's wrong," he said. He didn't have to ask whether something was wrong or not; he just skipped to the problem itself.

Lily looked at him for a few long moments before she sighed. "Woke up early today, had the thought that I should go bunk with Clint. I don't know why, I've been trying to figure it out all day. Why Clint, why not you?"

Lucivar considered that for a moment, and shrugged slightly.

"No idea," he said. "Not a bad thing, though."

"You are taking this better than I thought you would," Lily said, eyeing him with clear suspicion. "What's going on in that head?"

Lucivar raised an eyebrow.

"Do you want me to chase them off?" he asked. "I can do that. But I'm willing to bet you don't want me to."
