I'm so pissed. I'm on this site and random ads keep popping up. I think it's the browser or the computer (I'm on the business center computer. People install all kinds of things, needs to be cleaned.). I hope it's not the site.

I found it. Another ad popped up and it said "Arcade Yum". I go to the browser settings menu, go to extensions and delete EVERYTHING dealing with games and unnecessary stuff. Refresh page, and voila! All of the ads are gone. Thank goodness.

It was really annoying. That is the worst.

Ads are annoying period.
I hate figuring out what is causing the ad. I think it's one thing and then it doesn't end up to be the one you thought.

Had to do some investigating and relieved to find out it wasn't. :3

Nah. Only avatar site I know has ads is solia and those are usually just on one side as a side advertisement thing.

Gaia also has ads out of their behind. Part of the reason why I left. There were so many reasons, actually.

But, since I knew Mene was ad-less, I thought something had changed, so I was looking for announcements and such. Found none, so I went searching the browser and computer.

I hardly notice them on gaia
since I barely go on there.

They are on the bottom of the screen or the side and they have "games" where you watch an ad and get gold or cash. >>

Well I don't do that.
I log in, get my charms and get all my daily chances and then log off.

MENE WITH ADS WOULD BE A HORROR SHOW.

I hate it when sites use third-party cookies and force ads and stuff. Adblock doesn't even stop all of it. I used to use a text browser that ran in a terminal window just to avoid ads but I couldn't make it show pictures. I even got video to play in the command line interface but it took a lot of work. Now I just don't bother.

I hate Windows but I'm using it right now. Someone stole my USB drive that had my Linux on it. Now I have to use Windows until I can get a new one. I'm really mad about it.

If this place got ads I would do everything in my power to blow the whole thing up. I'm not kidding.

Oh, my music notes are really obvious on my laptop.

It was awful. The worst seven minutes of my life. xD

I could see an exodus happening if Mene got ads.

Everybody would flip their shit, and quite possibly leave.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if Mene introduced some non-intrusive ads. Nothing that breaks the site's own rules, nothing with video or sound. We do need some funding.

What would be non intrusive?

Iunno. A little something at the side or bottom of the page, nothing that flashes or plays video or music.
