not sure I know what pocoyo is.
I still go back and forth on if my daughter is or not. She's got the texture thing. And she lost some skills. But she also seems fine other days. and I seem to be the only one worried about it.
we've watched frozen, croods, turbo, kiki's delivery service. SO many times. oh and wreck it ralph.

Lol ikr bestyboo the joys of boys. Yea I remember u telling me one of urs wouldn't take their Spidey costume off one Halloween lol Harvey has spidey PJs and runs about yelling 'I DA MAN' Bwahahaha. Little maniac.
Yea shad I've seen the croods on repeat for like a month lolol my 3 love it! Yea well always trust ur mommy instinct . i had to fight for months till someone eventually listened. He wasn't responding to his name or making eye contact and was so violent. He's in an additional support needs nursery though and has came on brilliant. There's nothing worse being concerned and nobody listens. My biggest concern is Harvey doesn't eat. She could justhave some traits. Yeaaa my boys love turbo lol!

Mary is violent. She has over the top tantrums, she's 2- 1/2 and still not speaking. She can follow directions like get the ball. but she doesn't do puzzles. And I can only get her to play with toys if I sit down with her. Normally she just wants to eat paper or crayons, or anything wax like candles. Getting her to eat even fun things like mac n cheese, and pizza or fries is a chore. I have to fight her for every meal.
That's just a couple things that have been sending of warnings in my head. :/

Yea shad with Harvey it's paper :/.. I definetly dont think it would do either of you any harm if you got her checked for it. Harveys 2 and a half also but he now speaks because he's been in intense speech therapy from 18months old. Although his vocabulary is similar to that of my 1year old. But its progress. Nearly everything you have said just sounds exactly like him. Id definetly voice my concerns. But yea I have days where I'm in total denial and say Harvey doesn't have it. N hes just a happy 2yo. Then other days its just so obvious. Does she sleep?

Mary is in speech AND play therapy (for the violence and lack of listening to commands... or sitting still. )
It's been a couple months now. i think she started in August? maybe end of aug, beginning of sept. While things have improved a little, she still has a way to go. My 1 year old will do some of the sounds that her sister is being asked to do and not doing. xD
And I have voiced my concerns, to family, friends, her doctor, and the speech therapist. I keep getting shrugged off at every turn. :/
Sleep.. well.. yes ish. You have to lay with her for HOURS, and practically pin her in the bed to get her to sleep, even if she is exhausted at the first minute. oh and she isn't potty trained yet ^^;;

That's horrible they won't listen to you. At least she's in speech and play therapy. I'm sure eventually u will notice a huge huge difference.
Yea its the same here I can't potty train Harvey at all he just doesn't seem to pick up the concept at all. Aw the joys of motherhood. I know how horrible it is to be concerned and be ignored like that. Proffesionals suck.
Yea Harvey sleeps an hour or two maybe 3 a night. Caffiene and chocolate are my bestys! Hahaha

My cousins kid is autistic and i kept pointing at him going Mary acts like that though!!!
assorted responses i got. "But she can walk and run and jump fine" "but she's affectionate' , "she can't be, she's smart"
i usually respond with a "do you even know what autism is people"

Exactly!! No 2 on the spectrum are ever the same. And because there's so many levels and aspects they can't tell you she's not because she run n jumps. My oldest has just been flagged at pre school because his coordination and movement is so far behind. He can'trun or jump or walk down steps properly. Yet Harvey was walking at 7months and climbing and jumping not long afterwards. He's advanced physically but the opposite mentally. Some people just have no idea at all. Honestly.its ridiculous. I got and get it too. Frustrating as hell lol.

Working with children the past few years has given me insight on what an autistic child can and cannot do. There are various places on the spectrum she can fall. In extreme cases, children can't function when they are autistic. But many of them can and DO function - with little ticks!! I have a first grader who is on the spectrum and right now his thing is "NO." No matter what you ask him, it's "NO" unless you bribe him. "Behave for 30 minutes and the last ten minutes you can sit on the BLUE carpet square"
Granted, testing children super young is hard because it could be a number of things. But if this continues as she gets into pre-school and especially kindergarten age, I would definitely look for testing. It could give you a LOT of insight!
