Yep. I felt bad for the cat. >< But yeah. He's a monster.

Yeah. They don't really have a concept of what's right or wrong yet. :c I was a pretty bad kid in that way too, thankfully I grew out of it.

Kids putting cats in microwaves? How horrid, and entirely not surprising. >>

Because parents are afraid to discipline them. My kid will be sleeping out back chained in the yard if he ever tried to kill an animal

I dunno, I'd definitely discipline my kid, but my boyfriend is very against hitting kids. :x

Hitting a child is a terrible way to discipline them, the best way is to embarrass them in front of their friends :3 -plots-

Naw, I dont' want to do that either. Public humiliation is even worse than hitting. :P

It's effective though. If they don't experience terrible things when they're young they won't feel bad about doing terrible things in their future. Limits, of course, but punishment has to make them understand

I think hitting is one of the more effective ways, since public humiliation might damage the kid's self-confidence a little too much, depending on what the form of public humiliation is. At least you can control how hard you hit them better.

Mine will probably hate me though, if I ever have any. xD But if it makes them better people, it'll be worth it.
