Things settled down for a bit, getting back to as close to normal as they got. And then Kenzie frowned a bit, one day, lifting her nose to get a better scent of the air. She could have sworn she smelled another of her kind, but that was improbable, and uncommon...

A little while later, a rather attractive man approached her. He looked human, except for his eyes, which seemed to shimmer between green and yellow in the light.

"Yes?" Kenzie raised an eyebrow at the man. He was pretty, yes, but not the prettiest of her kind she'd seen.

"It's been quite a while since I've seen another of our kind," the man said. "Even longer since I've met a female."

"I'm not surprised," Kenzie said with a little shrug. "I haven't seen another female for, oh, ages." She wasn't even exaggerating.

"Indeed," the man replied. "Forgive me, my name is Dante." He looked at her, clearly expecting her name in return.

"Kenzie." She smirked faintly, rather amused at him. "What brings you this far out? No many feel the need to venture to this planet."

"To be honest, I was hoping to find a female who would be willing to grant me a favor," Dante said, being a bit careful with his words for the moment. "Suitably compensated, of course."

Kenzie leaned back a bit. There was only ever one type of favor a male wanted. "Oh?" she asked, nonetheless. "And what kind of favor did you have in mind?" She kept her tone pleasant, for now.

"I had hoped to find a female willing to give me offspring," Dante said, watching her reaction carefully. "Perhaps you know of someone who might be so inclined?"

"I don't know of any other females," Kenzie said. "I might be willing. You'll need to stick around for a few days while I decide, however."

Dante nodded.

"I have no pressing matters to attend to, so I can stay in the area for as long as need be," he said.

"Good." Kenzie paused. "One question first. What are your feelings on humans?" She looked at him intently, because this was important.

Dante shrugged a little.

"I have no strong feelings one way or the other," he said. "So long as they don't bother me, I'm content to leave them to their own devices."

Well, that was better than the last two, anyway.

"We'll see in a few days," Kenzie said again, to acknowledge that he did still have a chance and she was going to think about it.

"Take your time," Dante said, nodding. "I will remain nearby if you have need of me."

Kenzie nodded her agreement of that. "Very well." She did keep her gaze on him though. He was prettier than the last one who had come around, that was easy to see.

"If it pleases you, I can come and find you again in a few days," Dante suggested. "Unless you would rather it the other way around?"

Kenzie flashed him a brief grin. "Stay in the area, in case I decide I have more questions. Otherwise, come find me in a few days."

"Of course," Dante said. He flashed her a grin. "Until then." Turning, he disappeared back into the crowd. Time to see about somewhere to stay while he waited on the verdict.

Kenzie watched him go and then sat back, already pondering what to do. Because she had a few options here, she just had to decide which one she liked best at the moment.

Gemma came back out of the cafe with their teas, pausing when she saw Kenzie's expression.

"Something wrong?" she asked.

"Not yet," Kenzie said carefully. "We'll see." She shook herself a little. "They have my tea?"

"Yeah," Gemma said, handing Kenzie the tea. "Just how you like it." She watched Kenzie for a moment. "Let me know if there's anything I can help with, alright?"

"I will." Kenzie smiled at her. "It is another dragon. He's... asked a favor of me." She shifted a bit, looking at Gemma.
