"Thanks," Gemma said as she took the card. She just held on to it, not putting it away just yet. She looked at him after a moment. "Will I ever actually feel normal again?"

"That depends on you," Strange said. "And your definition of normal. With time and practice, you will feel comfortable again." He smiled. "I can promise you that. Beyond that, however, is up to your own mindset."

"I see," Gemma murmured. She looked at her hands again, as if trying to reconcile them with what she remembered of herself from before. "I don't think I'm ready yet."

"I am not surprised," Strange said. "You went through an immense change in your life with no warning. I believe that will take time for you to adjust. Contact me when you are ready to begin training, or if you have further questions. I am happy to help."

"Alright," Gemma said. She glanced at him. "Thank you for the help so far, at least."

"Any time." Strange stood. "Good luck." He nodded to her and left quietly.

Gemma just stayed there for a bit, trying to come to terms with things. It was all a little overwhelming, and she kind of just wanted to crawl into a hole and not come out.

Steve, of course, was the first one to come find her.

"Hey. Feeling okay?" He settled next to her on the couch.

"I guess so," Gemma replied quietly. "I'm not sure. I still don't... feel quite right. Like I still don't fit right somehow."

Steve sighed. "Sudden changes are bad for that," he agreed. He quirked a humorless smile. "At least I volunteered."

"Don't know what you were thinking," Gemma muttered, leaning against him a bit. He was wonderfully, reassuringly solid.

"That I wanted to join the army," Steve said with a little grin. He put his arm around her shoulders.

"Clearly, you're crazy," Gemma retorted, though she was grinning just the slightest bit.

Steve grinned. "Clearly," he agreed. "Crazy works for me, though."

"Lucky for you," Gemma murmured. She laid her head on his shoulder, just taking comfort in his presence.

Steve smiled and relaxed there with her. "I'm glad you're going to be okay," he murmured. "I was worried about you."

"I don't even know if I'm going to be all the way okay, yet," Gemma admitted. She bit her lip a little. "It's like hanging on to a cliff with my fingertips. I'm sort of okay right now, but I'm so close to not being okay that I don't even want to look."

Steve hugged her a little tighter. "You will be," he murmured. He could believe that enough for both of them, after all.

"I wish I knew that for sure," Gemma murmured. She settled closer to him, trying to relax.

Steve just settled her in there, tucking her close and relaxing with her for a bit. They both needed it, at this point.

Gemma ended up drifting off, tucked up against him. It was probably the safest she'd felt in a while, and he was really very comfortable to nap on.

Steve didn't mind. Not in the least. He actually felt more settled with her there than he had since he'd found her in the warehouse.

Bucky walked in a few minutes later and saw them. He raised an eyebrow at Steve.

Steve shrugged a bit, careful not to disturb her. He just raised an eyebrow right back at Bucky.

"Lettin' her sleep on you?" Bucky murmured. "Never seen that outta you before."
