Kenzie nodded, a little relieved at that. Already he seemed a more stable man, which pleased her.

"Good. I can make coffee, if you'd like." She glanced at Steve and Sam briefly to include them as well. "I'm sure you have other questions for me."

Steve just smiled a little and left it up to Bucky.

Bucky raised an eyebrow.

"Dragons drink coffee?" he asked.

"Not every day. I have something of a limited diet. But a cup or two a week certainly doesn't hurt." Kenzie grinned. "Tea is easier."

"Gemma mentioned tea," Sam spoke up. He glanced around. "Where is she, anyways? I thought this was her place."

Kenzie pointed at the ceiling. "In the apartment," she said. "Taking care of something. Usually I can watch the shop, if I only need to watch and occasionally ring someone up."

There was a beat of silence that was mostly coincidental, and then--

"I bet somebody only ever tries to raise a ruckus around here once," Bucky commented, glancing at Kenzie.

Kenzie's answering grin was all teeth.

"One or two have tried," she said, her voice deceptively mild. "They learned better."

"That's what I thought," Bucky said, nodding. Somehow, that answer satisfied him.

That just made Kenzie even more pleased, because he wasn't even freaking out.

"So, coffee? Or tea? I can even bring things down here, if you prefer."

Bucky shook his head. Neither option really tugged at him.

"I think I'm okay," he said. "But thanks."

"Alright. If you do have any questions, ask away, I'm happy to answer. Or you can look around the shop. Whatever you'd like." Kenzie smiled a bit.

That was about the point Gemma came back downstairs, a large box of glass mason jars in her arms. The jars rattled faintly with each step as she cautiously made her way back into the shop proper.

Kenzie immediately moved to take the boxes.

"I would have gotten those for you," she said. "Where would you like them, sweets?"

Sam and Steve both watched, amused.

"I'm fine, I've got it," Gemma said as she flicked the door closed again with a foot. "I just filled most of them, so they need to be shelved again."

Kenzie pouted a little. "I can shelve things, I didn't even break any last time," she said, not whining at all.

Steve grinned. Oh Bucky was going to have his hands full with this one.

Gemma sighed.

"Just be careful with them," she said. "I can't reinforce these, the herbs can't be allowed to absorb magic before I can even sell them."

"I know, I know," Kenzie said, taking the box and moving over to the appropriate shelves, putting things away. Carefully. Human trinkets tended to be kind of fragile to her, especially anything made of glass.

She was no longer allowed to change lightbulbs for this reason.

Thankfully, the mason jars were sturdy enough to withstand handling by a dragon. Gemma turned around again and blinked when she saw the three men in the shop.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't realize you were here," she said. "Are you all doing alright so far?"

"Yes, we're fine," Steve said with a reassuring smile. "Rather amused, honestly."

"That's good," Gemma said. "Sorry I don't have any tea ready this time. I can send some back with you if you like, though. On me."

"No problem," Steve said. "That's fine. I think we're all more coffee people, anyway." He grinned at her. "Next time, maybe. We'll let you know in advance, rather than just dropping in."

"Alright," Gemma said. She glanced around the shop habitually. She was definitely going to have to cleanse the place more often until she got used to the energies these men emitted; she made a mental note to order more supplies. But for the most part, she was okay with them in the shop.

Kenzie glanced around at them all before she looked at Gemma again.

"Do we need to do anything else at the moment?" Because while the shop was actually a good place to have a quiet conversation, she didn't know how comfortable the men actually were, and she wanted a bit more time to get to know Bucky more.

Gemma shook her head.

"Not that I'm aware of," she said. She waved a hand a bit. "I can look after things by myself for a while, if you want to go somewhere, it's fine."

"Maybe," Kenzie said, looking at Bucky. "Maybe."

Steve grinned a bit and nudged Bucky, because he still needed a bit of a nudge now and again when it came to social things.
