Bruce raised an eyebrow.

"That's a tall order," he said. "I don't know what I have in the kitchen, but you're welcome to take a look and make it as spicy as you'd like."

"Good." Kenzie smiled, going to poke around at the spices. "Thank you, Bruce."

"No problem," Bruce said as he went back to making the curry for everyone else. "Mind if I try some when it's done? I've always enjoyed hotter spices."

"Please, feel free." Kenzie grinned. "Clint already said he wants some as well." She finished adding spices to her curry and let it sit.

"I'm not surprised," Bruce replied as he finished preparing the rest of the food. "He can't resist a challenge."

"Indeed." Kenzie smiled a little and helped, making sure there were enough plates and utensils for everyone.

Once the food was done, he went out into the living room.

"Help yourselves," he said to Clint and Natasha. Phil had also appeared, as had Sam, and Bruce nodded to them as well.

Kenzie got some of her extra spicy food, a little bit of the regular, and then went to go settle on the couch. She smiled a bit as she watched everyone.

"So anyways," Clint said as he grabbed some of the curry, "you're bunking in with us, right?" He took some of the super-spicy curry she had set aside, and took a bite. There was an immediate, strangled whine and his eyes watered.

"No," Bucky said, taking advantage of Clint's beautifully-timed, poorly-planned situation. "She'll stay on my floor tonight."

Kenzie grinned, because she had warned Clint, after all. And then she blinked at Bucky.

Natasha smirked and decided to spur them both on a bit. "Of course we all have room," she said. "I'm sure you could ask to stay with any one of us."

Bucky shot Natasha something of a wounded look. She was supposed to be backing him up, here! Not undermining his (admittedly clumsy) efforts!

Natasha smirked, and her smirk told him to try a little harder than that.

"I can sleep on the couch," Kenzie said after a moment of deliberation. "So I don't impose on anyone." She glanced between Bucky and Clint.

"You're not imposing," Bucky said, jumping on the opportunity. "Promise. Plenty of space in my room." He still sent Natasha a subtle Look.

"If you're sure..." Kenzie looked at him, smiling a little.

"Uh, why are we sharing now? I designed this place so no one had to share," Tony piped up. "You do realize you've got your own room right?"

Kenzie blinked at that, once again caught entirely by surprise.

Bucky growled inwardly. It was like everyone was trying to sabotage his efforts.

"As long as that's what you want," he finally said, looking at Kenzie.

Kenzie looked at him and smiled slowly. She could feel a little frustration from him, and she could guess why.

"We'll see," she murmured, going back to her spicy food.

Bucky just nodded once and started in on his dinner. He wasn't in any mood to socialize anymore. He sent a bit of a glare at Nat, letting her know that he fully blamed her for the sabotage.

Natasha just smirked at him. He could blame her, that was okay. It meant he'd probably work harder next time.

Bruce glanced at Natasha.

"I can't tell if that was masterfully done, or just mean," he murmured to her, watching Kenzie and Bucky.

"Perhaps a little of both," Natasha admitted after a moment. "But he needs to work harder if he truly wants her affection. More than what he already has."

"Just make sure not to push too hard," Bruce murmured back. "We don't know that he won't lash out."

Natasha nodded. She was aware of this, but she also knew that Bruce liked to look after people, so she didn't scold him as she might have Tony.

"I'm keeping track of their progress."

"I figured as much," Bruce replied, nodding a bit. "You seem to invested to just be a bystander."

Natasha was quiet for a moment before she shrugged.

"It's good for him to show interest in other people."

"Just be careful," Bruce advised. He couldn't help a very slight grin. "You don't want to upset the dragon, either."
