I'd get bothered in a life drawing class I think, but I'd still take it if I had to. I strangely did not as an art major.

Honestly I would have felt a bit awkward but not terribly uncomfortable. And definitely less so now. I'm not really modest anymore.

Yeah, it'd be like the first two classes are weird, then you get used to it. It's art so all you're really caring about is the art.

I could probably have benefited from a life drawing class. I have no idea why it wasn't required at my school.

I just did a still life drawing class. It was pretty interesting.

Ya'll draw fruits and cloth and things? It's fun for playing with charcoal and pastels, but I don't care for still lifes. I prefer to draw people.

I haven't taken any art classes. While most people opted to fulfill their art requirement with an easy drawing class, I did it with art history.

You actually had an art requirement? Go your school. Not very many places do.

Yeah, fruit and cones and fabric and shoes and things like that. It was quite different than anything else I had done. We had to buy special pastels and charcoals and inks and things and have this huge sketchbook with tons of drawings by the end of the year. I sort of miss it now though it was pretty tough at the time.

I liked the drapery study. The shoes were hard. Fruit was boring because we didn't even get to play around much with the supplies and that was the second semester of drawing class. Should have been the first. But that's about how a standard drawing class goes. Everyone draws the same things.

What I found most interesting was to see how everyone's styles really differed.

Once you get past drawing eggs, yes. It can get very different even from two people sitting on the same side of the still life.

Yep! I guess they want us to be well-rounded people. I would have preferred taking a drawing class, but the art history class was seen as a legit class and not an easy A class so I took that one. xD

drawing should be a legit class too! though even as an art major it's generally an easy A, not being something where you gain quantifiable knowledge.

Lack of trying would definitely make you fail pretty quick.

Yeah but a lot of college kids are super lazy and can't be bothered.

Yeah well when you go out drinking every night it doesn't leave you much time for the important things in life like eating and sleeping and having sex let alone doing your homework. ROFL.

a drawing class is generally judged on level of participation, interest, and your own personal growth. So you shouldn't be able to get out of it just by being lazy.

lol Ziggy.

I went to an art school for most of it. Sure we were all on drugs, but people were passionate about their art.
