I find that with lighter skin the henna patterns look so vibrant! My skin is sort of a caramel-y color so the light orange blends in.
Black henna definitely looks gross! D; I am too scared to use black henna, especially after seeing those images of those blisters and skin issues that people get after using it.

Yeah, what I used to do was that if it was really late at night and I wasn't willing to stay up and let the henna dry on it's own, I would wait for a half hour, put a ziploc bag over each of my hands and go to bed like that. Then that way the chippings don't get all over your bed, messing everything up Plus you get a really pretty dark red on your hands
Yeah, I'm jealous of people with lighter skin, actually. Henna looks nice on them, whether it's orange or red. I have a light caramel-ish skin tone, so the henna orange looks pretty tacky on me. But it also depends on if you put it on the back or the palm of your hands, too. Oh sheesh, people actually post pictures of the black henna damage they did to themselves?

Oh! That is so clever! I will definitely think about next time using a ziplock bag when I have my henna done. :O I agree, henna does look good on lighter skin. I guess because it shows up easier? I feel that way with anything applied to skin, though, it always looks better on lighter skin because it shows up better, like make up.
Yeah, it's crazy, but I guess people post the images online to earn other people about using black henna.

Lighter skinned people have such an advantage is what I like to think, sometimes They can work almost anything, I'm pretty jealous Yeah, I never thought of it that way. I just wouldn't want people to see my hands after a black henna mishap

I completely agree with you! I used to really want lighter skin because of that reason.
Yeah, if I had something go wrong with black henna, I wouldn't want anyone to see either. Lol.
Immy, are we still waiting?

What WAS I reading, rather! I dedicate all my attention to a book, which is why I prefer to read during a vacation. If it's part of a series, I'd rather start reading after it's finished. They were a great three books. Sometimes they got bloody, but they were worth the read anyway. I regret nothing. Every time I think my issues with blood are gone, they're not!

Personally, I like the classics.
Like Wuthering Heights and Huckleberry Finn. But a lot of people I went to school with thought those books were boring. :(

Oohh, I haven't read those in a long time. Then again I was a fifth grader when I read those, and thought them extremely boring. I would probably pick them up again and reread them for the sake of actually understanding what is going on with the characters

I guess if you read a series of books, then it wouldn't really be so hard. I would probably start with classics and then work my way through fifty books. I'd probably find shorter ones if I have to

*dances her way back into silent thread* So what's going on here? Why everyone so silent, or do I just have nothing to do? Everyone's been pretty quiet after the V-Day event, to be quite honest

I know I've been very quiet after the event.
I find that if I can't think of something useful to say, I just don't post, :/
And lately I haven't been able to jump into conversations as much.
I just ran out of things to say!

Woohoo!
I'm doing okay. I'm doing much better than I was last week. I was in a lot of pain last week because I got my wisdom teeth removed and I got dry socket afterwards, but I'm doing much better today than I was all of last week, so I think my sockets are healing now.
How about you? Doing anything interesting?
---------- Post added 02-24-2015 at 08:02 PM ----------
Oh, crap! I need to respond to your VM! Haha.
I get so forgetful and lazy. I take forever responding to PMs or VMs because I like to overthink my responses before I respond and then I'm like, "Nah, I don't like what I said" So I end up deleting everything I wrote and rewriting it again like five times...
