@ Vin - I'm doing pretty good, I'd feel better once exams week is over; I'm trying to finish all of my pictures for art class tonight because they are due tomorrow. I'll probably have to pull an all-nighter for this one Yuck, the flu sounds awful Get well soon, and don't worry too much about the banner. You'll get around to it

@ Sal - That's good hun.
I'm okay, I'm in the early stages I think. So far I'm not sick to my stomach (yay!) but my head is killing me, I'm freezing or roasting, and I ache all over. xp
Same here, they're really pretty.
@ Azn - That's good hun, I wish ya luck with all that. Hopefully you won't be up too late.
Thanks hun. I think I may be gone for a few days xp

@Vin - I wish I could do that. I've had just about enough with these stupid exams. And I have to stay after exams are over to finish the three piece project that I have been working on for the past two months At least I get Monday off, I guess...

@ Vin - I hoe your headache gets better! *hands you some Tylenol*
@ Cloud - Thank you for the hug! I needed that. I'm done with them (at the expense of a sore hand) and I won't have to come in on Monday to work on them! I have a day off on Monday, and I'm glad I won't have to worry about anything!

You're welcome! Hugs help me when I'm having bad days. Oh, yay, but booo to the sore hand! Sounds nice!! I've been off since Thursday - I only have classes two days a week. But I really do need to make myself work on the giant pile of homework I already have! D: And figure out what to do for my Capstone project, possibly email Jordan to bounce a few ideas off him to see what he things of some of them, to try to figure it out. At least he's given us two weeks to decide - that is if we don't know already xD

@ Cloud - Oh yeah, you just reminded me of the Mount Everest sized pile of homework that is sitting in front of me. I was hoping to kill an hour of my time on Menewsha, but I guess I can't really do that now. Reality hurts

Oh I so agree! I need to stop avoiding my work. I've only been back a week and I already have a mountain of work. D: :(
Nothing wrong with taking an hour break though!! Sometimes breaks are needed!
My break times now consist of Mene, and working on my Wreck this Journal.

@ Cloud - I think that bonfire with marshmallows sounds good right about now... *throws all homework outside* You're right about that! The problem that I have is that I wouldn't know when to stop I start a break and I have to force myself to get off break and get back to work. It's such a struggle!

Omg a bonfire with marshmallows sounds completely and absolutely wonderful right now. Darn the fact that I live in the city and no room or place for a bonfire! :( Darn!
Oh, I know the feeling! Once I get started, I can't stop either till I finish. That'll be tomorrow and Sunday. Are you in college?
I'm dreading this semester. D: Ugh, last one before I get a break - that is if I decide to go to grad school or not. xDD Not sure I'll go to grad school.

@ Cloud - It sounds nice. But the neighbors would probably be calling the police and charging me with arson in front of my house or something ridiculous. The neighbors that I live next to are old people, so they don't like any disruptions in our deathly quiet neighborhood
I'm actually a senior in high school. The homework the teachers give is absolutely ridiculous, seriously. How do you expect me to complete a 1,000 word essay when I have exams to study for and other piles of homework on top of that?? I'm hoping that next semester I can do a better job of keeping my head above the endless floods of homework.

Oh darn!! That sucks! :( I live in Los Angeles, not really bonfire area... I really want a smore!! XP
Teachers in college seem to think the same thing - only it's like 10 papers over the course of the whole semester (that's for only four classes mind you) and three presentations - two group presentations and one solo presentation. And SO MUCH READING! D: Good luck with that!! I know that I still struggle to keep a float with all the homework I get. I'm a Senior in college.

The smores in the oven will have to do for now If I get the opportunity to buy a house out in the countryside, I would take that offer in a heartbeat. Then I would eat all the smores I want without anyone calling the police on me I live in Michigan, and it's freezing out here, so it is definitely bonfire time
I wouldn't mind the reading or anything, but my eyes are already bad If you don't mind me asking, how long do you're papers usually get? Because I had to finish a 4,000 word essay in a little over two weeks as a part of the diploma I'm getting, and I've been told I have to do the same thing in college. Is that true?

I just have to get the ingredients to make them. LOL! My parents live in the country, up north. We can have fires - not huge bonfires, but better than down here in the land of eternal city. It's almost always always summer here in LA.
My Senior project paper is 12 pages and then I have papers that are 6 to 9 pages for my Deaf Learner class (three of them) and then two 5 to 7 page papers. And I know I'm spacing out on a few others. So roughly 5 to 12 pages, depending on the class and the assignment. Most my teachers go by pages, not word counts - at least that's what I've had for the most part. Sorry I can't be of more help - it really does depend on the class and the teacher.
And the presentations are 15 to 30 minutes - depending on the topic and what class as well.
[Three presentations - individual presentation: 15 min, and two group presentations: 20 minutes, and 20-30 minutes. With 5 to 10 minutes for every one for Q&A after.)
Of course these are all for 400 level (senior level) classes as well.

Ohh, 12-15 pages sounds like 4,000 words. My final paper ended up being about 14 pages long, 17 pages total with pictures and a bibliography. At least the teachers count the pages. I would be screwed if they did it by word count Thank you for that! I just wanted to know because I am (hopefully) starting college soon and I want to know what to expect when I get there

I should know word counts by now, I can figure it out if I need to - but because I usually just go by page count... I've given up keeping track of how many words is how many pages.
Like I said though, it does depend on teachers as to how many pages they require, or how many words. It just depends on how they teach. At the university I'm at, at least in my program, they usually ask for certain amount of pages... although now that I think of it - for a final for a class last term, one teacher did ask for a minimum number of words... 750 for the first question and 500 for the last three (four total), but I went WAY over that.
Do you know what you want to do in college? What do you want to major in? :)

@ Cloud - I'm actually declaring an undecided major until I figure out what I want to do with my life. I tend to switch a lot, so I want to find a degree that would allow me the freedom to switch from job to job. I kind of want to go for a business degree, but we'll see what happens

Nothing wrong with undeclared. It's totally fine to not know what you want to do - I was undeclared for a semester, then changed it to Equine Studies (was that for a year and a half), left that major before finishing, took a semester off, changed it to Deaf Studies, and started school again, and I've been doing that now for 4 1/2 years. I graduate in May with my BA in Deaf Cultural Studies. But really, it is totally fine to not know what you want to do - or to even take longer than people seem to say it'll take - for me... I've been in college now for 8 years .... to get a degree that people say should take ONLY 4.
What I tell people -take general ed classes, see of anything catches your attention. :] I'm sure you'll be able to figure out something. ^_^

@ Maha - I know what ya mean hun, that's generally my case too. The big thing for us is checking on Joeys grandma, she's got dementia, and making sure everything's okay at her place and seeing if she needs any help with stuff. After that it's whatever miscellaneous errands we have to do, and finally it's more cleaning here at home xp
@ Azn - aww I'm sorry Hun, that sucks you gotta stay longer, but it's awesome you get a day off soon! *takes the tylenol* thanks hun. I think I'm finally starting to feel better. Atleast I'm hoping so anyways. I'm tired of staying on the couch or in bed xp Though the good thing about it was I ws finally able to finish reading The Fault in Our Stars!
@ Cloud - thanks hun, I think I'm starting to feel better, atleast thats what I'm hoping anyways. I'm gonna try to do a few things around the house today and see how that goes.
How's everyone doing today?
