Rurik returned the bow and listened to what he had to say. "It's nice to meet you sir Chiles, what brings you here today?" Rurik asked curiously. He relaxed a bit since this man didn't look dangerous and he certainly was no angel, but why was he even here? Especially today of all days?

"Well with war breaking out my lord sent me to deliver a particularly important request. He himself has no sons nor any male heirs, being that you are the nearest royal bachelor and that his highness has such confidence in your kingdom it is only natural that he would like to ask that you meet his daughters and neices to see if you would be compatible with any of them, if you would be willing of course." Chiles explained softly as he pulled out a few pictures of the young women and Shiva stared in shock before calming herself and looked to Rurik curiously wondering why this would come up all of a sudden.

Rurik was surprised to hear this request but did start looking at the various photos. "All lovely girls I admit." Rurik commented with a smirk. This was going to please his parents very much so he had to make sure to tell them right away. "When would be the best day to go visit them?" he asked. He really was looking forward to meeting them, he had to get married eventually. If he got married before his sister, that would be even better.

"That's wonderful my lord, as soon as possible would be fantastic, whenever you and your parents feel is best really" Chiles explains with a smile and Shiva was a bit surprised. Rurik had seemed to turn down his parents every time she had heard them mention marriage... what had suddenly changed his mind?

Rurik smirked as he thought about this and decided on a date. "What about some time next week? I will send word to you before my arrival that way all these lovely ladies can be there by the time I arrive." Rurik suggested. His parents were going to be very happy for him and that only made this even better.

"O-oh very good my lord! Thank you very much, here I'll let you keep those pictures and here's a map of the fastest way to the castle from here, and the phone number of my master." Chiles smiled easily and offered a small folder to Rurik with everything he had mentioned inside. Shiva didn't understand the feeling that was growing in her chest and stomach as she watched all this play out... her master... getting married?... but.... he was HER master.... she just didn't like the thought.... she thought he didn't want to get married... he didn't even seem to want to make friends... so why did that suddenly change?

"My pleasure, and thank you very much for all this information. Be sure to give your master my thanks for the invite." Rurik said as he took the folder from the male's hands. "I will be sure to give your master a call the moment I depart for his castle." he explained politely. He even surprised himself by being excited about all this.

Chiles smiled and bowed one more time before bidding Rurik farewell and left to return to the Darkous kingdom. Shiva looked up to Rurik letting just a bit of her surprise and shock show. She then remembered that they were supposed to be heading out that day and wondered if he would remember and if they would still be able to... for all she knew it might be one of the last times she got to spend alone with him before he possibly met his future wife.

Rurik looked at the folder in his hands and decided to go look for his parents where he explained to them what had just happened. "Ohhh I'm so happy to hear this dear! I'm sure one of those ladies will be compatible with you." Irsa commented. "If you do marry one, these two kingdoms will be united and we will have a better chance at winning the war if it ever does occur that is." his father added happily. The three continued talking until Rurik remembered that he had promised to go out on a stroll with Shiva. Quickly excusing himself, Rurik left up to his room where he did not see Jamil or Sylph but placed the folder in a drawer then left back downstairs. "Come along Shiva, we're leaving now." he said softly.

Shiva went back to work quietly and mentioned to Syrma that she wanted to speak to her later but then smiled some a bit relieved when she heard Rurik call her and gave Syrma a hug. "I'll be back later, please don't over do it again" she requested softly before heading over to Rurik easily and seemed happy to be going out with him but still felt a bit of the odd feeling in her chest.

Rurik could tell something was wrong and walked outside with her. "Is something wrong?" he asked as the walked through the kingdom. People would bow and curtsy as Rurik passed by and he would bow his head in greeting while walking with Shiva at his side. "You're being very quiet Shiva, I can tell something is troubling you. So what is it?" he asked.

Shiva looked away and bit her lip a little before looking back at Rurik. "M-master are you really thinking of getting married?" she asked curiously and tried to hide her worry as best she could but it was rather hard.... the only time she really hid anything from Rurik was when she wasn't feeling well and the few times she had lied other then that she had gotten in serious trouble.

"Maybe I am and maybe I'm not. Why do you suddenly care what I do? I can make my own choices you know." Rurik replied and smirked. "If I can get married before Meleanie, just think of all the attention I'll get and how much better I will be in my parents' eyes." he explained and looked at the various shops that they passed.

"I-I know...I... I just... have an odd feeling about you getting married... b-besides wouldn't you rather marry someone because you love them and not because you want to be the first to be married?" Shiva asked curiously trying to stay calm and not let it show how much it actually bothered her

"Are you trying to tell me that you don't want me to get married Shiva?" Rurik asked and stopped dead in his tracks. "That's funny, because last time I checked, you do as I say. I don't have to do as you say. Besides, you don't understand. Ever since she returned, I honestly feel like she took over the spotlight and I am not used to that. Sometimes I wish she never came back home at all." Rurik muttered and resumed walking.

"N-no master... I-I'm not trying to tell you what to do... it's just... t-the thought of you getting married..." Shiva started but then stopped unsure of how to put it... she honestly had no idea what this feeling was that was growing in her heart and in her stomach bust what she did know was that she just didn't want Rurik to get married... she couldn't explain why she just didn't like the idea at all.

This was starting to annoy Rurik which slowly turned into anger. "You don't want me to get married and I don't know why, but you are acting like a child! You do not control my life Shiva! I can do whatever I want and if I want to get married I will, I am not asking you for your permission!" Rurik hissed. He didn't plan on getting mad today but Shiva's questions had gotten to be a bit too much for him. "You k now what happens to you when we get back." he warned her and glared at her. Why was she behaving this way? It wasn't like her to voice her opinions like this.

Shiva shrunk away and looked down before her ears and tail suddenly sprang out and she was suddenly very alert. Her tail suddenly flicked in one direction and she pushed Rurik down in the other as hard as she needed to to make sure he went down and less then a second later two arrows hit her one in her arm and the other in her back. She cried out some but managed to stay standing just wanting to protect Rurik, even if he was mad at her, he was still her master and the feeling that she had in her heart suddenly burst into anger at whoever was trying to harm him. "M-master hide... hide NOW" She said sharply as her ears and tail twitched. A third arrow narrowly missed her and then another almost hit one of Rurik's feet. Shiva noticed that the area they had walked into was almost completely deserted and realized that their normal walking route was having some of the shops being fixed so most of them were closed... this wasn't looking good.

When Shiva pushed him down, Rurik turned to look at her and hissed. "What has gotten into you?!" he hissed and quickly moved his foot away from the arrow. "Idiot, there is nowhere to hide! Look around you!" he said and looked over in the direction of the arrows. "We need to get back home! I need to warm my parents!" he explained and looked at the arrows she had been hit with. "Besides, you are hurt! You need to have these arrows removed quickly." Rurik noted and frowned. How were they going to get back? He had to risk the chance of getting hit which would not be a good thing, but he really needed to get Shiva looked at and he had to warn his parents. Just then a stream of arrows shot down at them and he his behind the nearest tree only to see an arrow hit Shiva's shoulder. Why wasn't she hiding with him. This annoyed him and he found himself quickly at her side and stood in front of her, facing the arrrows and the men that were approaching. "Shiva are you stupid? You need to go back to the castle and get treated!" Rurik cried and suddenly felt a burning pain on his chest near his heart. These weren't regular arrows like he had thought.

The pain was so painful, that it caused him to collapse and cry out. The men soon got closer and surrounded the both of them and the were both hit on the back of their heads with a hard object to which they both passed out, unaware that they were being taken back to the enemy territory.

"NO! Master stay down!" Shiva said and tried to push him out of the way again but failed and saw him get shot as well. She was about to lash out at the men that surrounded them when she suddenly felt a large pain in the back of her head and went down hard. "N-no... m-master.... n-no....!" she whimpered as she saw some men grab Rurik before she passed out as well. After what felt like forever Shiva slowly started to wake up and felt the arrows still in her arms. She carefully used her nails to get all three out then looked over at Rurik and quickly moved over to him getting the arrow out as gently and quickly as possible. Luckily the arrow was just blessed and not drenched in holy water, it meant that he would be fine, just weak. "Master.... Master please wake up... please." Shiva said softly and worriedly before using one of her claws to make a very small scratch on her neck and pulled him so her neck would be near his face, she knew he desperately needed to feed after what just happened and the smell should wake him up, at least enough to do that

A familiar scent reached Rurik's nose which caused his eyes to open and see blood trickling down Shiva's neck. He pulled her closer and sank his fangs into her flesh and began to feed. He hadn't fed all day and after what just happened, he really needed it....badly. When he was done, he pulled away and looked down at his chest where there was a circular burn mark where the arrow had hit, but the arrow was gone. The arrows that were on Shiva were also gone and he saw them on the ground. Looking around, he didn't recognize where there were busy he didn't have the strength to even get up. He just lay there and looked over at Shiva. "Are you okay?" he asked quietly.

Shiva flinched but relaxed when she felt Rurik bite her and felt rather dizzy when he let go but just sat beside him and leaned against the wall for support nodding to his question. "I'm sorry.... I'm so sorry.... I... I couldn't... couldn't protect you... this... this is all my fault... if... if i had just sensed them sooner.... or remembered that the shops were closed in that area." she started tears falling down her cheeks as she thought of what a horrible slave she was... not only could she not protect her mistress she couldn't protect her master either

Rurik winced slightly as he took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Shush, this isn't your fault Shiva. None of this is. I should have known better than to leave my home when I knew it was dangerous. At least I'm not alone." he said and offered a weak smile. The arrow wound still hurt, just not as bad as it had at first."So stop crying because that isn't going to get us out of here. " he reminded quietly while looking at her. He wasn't mad, he was too weak and had a slight headache so he had no room or time to be angry.

Slowly Shiva calmed as she listened to Rurik and looked around worriedly before looking back at him. "How can we get out though?" She asked quietly and worriedly since she didn't see any other way out other then one door that she was sure was being guarded

"If the door is locked then the only way we can leave is by getting the key. If it's not locked then I guess I have to kill whoever I see. I've never fought angels though, but I think that if I can stop feeding for enough time, I should be able to take care of them." Rurik explained quietly. He really didn't have Amy other idea on how they could get out of here. There was no doubt in his mind that they would be hurt by the time they reached home, but they couldn't just stay here either.
