Shiva gave another little whimper as she heard Rurik but stayed out cold still. Later that day Syrma finally managed to get the guards to let her see Rurik and Shiva them showing her to where Shiva was right now so she could get fluids through an iv since she hadn't drank anything in days and was dehydrated. "Prince Rurik, oh thank goodness you are both safe, I was so scared I wouldn't see either of you again." She said worriedly as she walked into the room looked at Rurik then looked at Shiva worriedly. She didn't look as pale as when she had first been brought back but she didn't look well either. "Are you both okay?" she asked worriedly

Rurik had asked for a book to be brought so that he could read out loud to Shiva while he continued to pet her. When Syrma came in, he put the book to the side and drank the blood."It is nice to see you too." Rurik said and shuddered slightly. "Syrma, after all that happened back there I think it's a miracle we're okay. If you can even call it okay that is." he explained as he remembered the torture they both went through, he had burn scars to show it though Shiva had gotten the worst of it.

"All I heard was that you and Shiva were captured while you were out and that you were both still alive... the guards didn't really want to say much or let me come in but I think they finally gave up.... but... you look okay you just look a bit weak and thirsty... why isn't Shiva awake?" Syrma asked worriedly noticing how they were both injured pretty badly but that they were both okay... but then why was he awake and not Shiva?

"Weak and thirsty huh?" Rurik repeated and shrugged. "Shiva hasn't had my attention since we were captured. She will wake up eventually. I just need to give her all of my undivided attention Syrma." he explained easily. He knew it would take a while for her to wake up, but he would wait as long as it took because he knew she would do the same thing for him. "She'll wake up...she has to." he said quietly.

Syrma smiled a little whens he heard Rurik and couldn't help but feel that he had more feelings for her then he would let show. "Oh I almost forgot, uh these letters came for you while you were gone, I thought you might want them." she offered as she held out a few letters from the other kingdom asking about when Rurik was going to be there and then the last one was an apology and get well letter.

"Oh dear, I had forgotten about this." Rurik said and frowned as he stopped petting Shiva to grab the letters and started to read them. "I should really give them a call and apologize." he said and sighed softly. He felt very terrible for forgetting about this meet up he had planned to attend. "Syrma stay here with Shiva, I have to go make a phone call." he said and left to his room where he grabbed the folder then left to the parlour room and made the call.

"Okay" Syrma said before going over and sat with Shiva holding her hand softly rubbing it gently. The king from the other kingdom had already been told about what happened so he hadn't expected to hear from Rurik until he was feeling better so he was quite surprised when he received a call from him but was rather relieved that he was okay.

"So until I fully recover mentally, physically, and emotionally. I will think of calling again. That and my servant needs to make a full recovery too of course. I do deeply apologize for not being able to call back when I had planned to, I really was looking forward to meeting all of you." Rurik explained and drank some more blood. "I hope that you can understand my situation. I will call you as soon as I can, but until then everything will just have to wait I'm afraid." he explained. The two talked for a while longer before hanging up. Rurik left back to his room where he put the folder away before going to check on Shiva.

Days passed and Shiva seemed to look better but still didn't wake up causing many to worry if she was going to at all. Finally after about a week Shiva finally started to stir and whimpered some when she moved her leg causing quite a bit of pain. Slowly she opened her eyes and moved her non-injured arm so she could rub her eyes softly. "O-oh my head" she whimpered a little but didn't seem fully awake yet for the fact that she hadn't really looked around or anything, of course it was just good that she was awake at all.

Rurik had started to worry but he kept telling himself that she would wake up. "She has to wake up." he said and pet her. The day she had woken up, Rurik had fallen to sleep in the corner of the room. He still had blood bags around him, most of them were empty though. He had troubles sleeping ever since the incident due to reccuring nightmares. Rurik bolted up that day, gasping for air and looked around and saw Shiva. O-oh Shiva you're finally awake!" he said and quickly managed to stand up.

"M-master? O-oh... you're okay.... I'm... so happy" Shiva said slight tears in her eyes when she heard Rurik and then finally spotted him. Slowly she managed to sit up and looked around. "W-we're home? How?" she asked softly still seeming a bit dazed but happy that they were both safe... that he was safe

Rurik quickly pulled her into his arms and just held her close. "Yes we are finally home. My father and his men all came to rescue us and brought us home." Rurik replied and ran his fingers through her hair gently. "I'm just happy to know you're okay." he said softly and wiped away her tears gently with his thumbs. "I should go tell Jamil and Syrma that you're awake. They really have been looking forward to speaking with you." he added and quickly left to inform everyone that she had finally woken up.

Shiva smiled a little happy that they were safe and purred at the feeling of him running his fingers through her hair. She then pouted a bit when he left but just looked down thinking. How horrible of a slave could she be? First she makes him angry, then she lets them both get caught, then she doesn't listen to him and he ends up having really bad blood lusts... and she couldn't even get them free... she couldn't help him at all... what use was she as a slave? as his personal servant? Now she couldn't even serve him at all with all her wounds. She was snapped out of her thoughts as she heard Syrma coming in and hugged him gently making sure not to hurt her. "Oh Shiva! I was so worried about you!" she said as she hugged her and then pulled away looking at her worriedly. "Are you okay? Are you hurting?" she asked worriedly. "I-I'm okay... hungry, thirsty and weak but okay non the less." she said softly and Syrma nodded. "Don't worry some of the cooks are already fixing something up for you." she smiled easily.

Jamil walked in with Rurik and gently hugged Shiva. "You have no idea how happy it makes me to see that you're awake and okay. You know you can count on me if you need anything, just call my name and I'll be here. That goes for you too my lord." Jamil explained. "Thank you Jamil, really. I also thank you for looking after Sylph all this time, I knew he would be in good hands." Rurik said. "My pleasure my lord. Now then, if you'll both excuse me I must go back to work and help with the food." Jamil said before bowing and quickly left. Rurik allowed the two girls to talk and sat back down on the floor and tried to take a nap while he waited for the food.

Shiva smiled at Jamil easily before talking with Syrma for a little bit but since Shiva was still rather weak Syrma didn't keep her long and soon left to help around the house like usual. "Master... I'm... I'm so sorry for how I acted before... and for not being able to protect you." Shiva said softly and you could tell that had weighed heavily on her for some time now and she just needed to get it off her chest and hoped that he would forgive her

Rurik opened his eyes and looked at Shiva before standing up and hugging her. "You did nothing wrong Shiva, none of this was ever your fault so you shouldn't be blaming yourself like this." Rurik said and gently pet her. "So please don't be sad." he said and looked over at the door as their keeps were brought to them by Jamil. "Here you are. Enjoy." he said and handed them their meals. He then left to finish up the dinner for the king, queen, and princess. "Eat up Shiva." Rurik said softly as he looked down at his food and began to eat it quietly.

"Thank you Master" Shiva said softly carefully giving him a hug back with her good arm then started to eat wondering how long it would take her to heal from all her wounds. "Are you okay? I hadn't gotten to ask yet." she asked softly between bites hoping that he was.

"I've been better Shiva. I don't think I'll ever be perfectly fine again though." Rurik replied and frowned. "Hopefully I'm wrong." he added and continued to eat his meal quietly. It was odd eating with his servant instead of with his family, but it was a nice change since it wasn't so noisy as it was when he ate with his family. As they ate, Rurik couldn't help but wonder how long it would take for them both to fully recover.

"I hope you do... I wish there was something I could do to make you feel better." Shiva said softly but knew once they were both healed up they would probably be back to normal, would probably go out walking like they both seemed to like to do or would hang out in the garden... in any case she really missed spending time with him and hoped that they could spend time together again

"No need to worry Shiva, we'll both get better soon enough. When we do get better though, we can go walk around if it's safe and I'll get you the gift I promised I would." he said and smiled at her while finishing up his food easily. "You and I both need plenty of rest though." Rurik reminded.

"You really don't have to Master, I'm just happy that you're safe." Shiva said softly with a soft and kind smile clearly meaning what she said. All that mattered to her was that he was safe and that he would be well soon. Soon she was finished eating and nodded to his comment about them both needing rest and knew that was true, not that she could really get up and do anything right now with her leg in the shape it was.

Rurik shrugged and gathered the plates and empty blood bags. "I know. I want to though." he said and left to take the dishes to the kitchen and then threw away the empty blood bags before going back to where Shiva was. "I can read you a story so that you can sleep Shiva." Rurik offered and yawned softly.

Shiva easily thanked Rurik before getting back into a more laying position and blushed a little when she heard him but shook her head. "No that's okay, why don't you go and get some rest too though? I'm sure you still need your rest as well." she offered softly and worriedly since she was sure he was still hurt as well

"I can't really get much sleep. I do get some sleep, just not as much as I'd like." Rurik said but he knew she was right. "I'll talk to you tomorrow then, sleep well Shiva." Rurik said and excused himself before leaving back to his room. Grabbing his sleepwear, Rurik left to his bathroom and started to shower, wincing slightly then stepped out and dried off when he was done. Yawning softly, he got dressed for bed and tossed his dirty laundry in the basket before slipping under his blanket and petting Sylph who curled up beside him happily. "Goodnight Sylph." he said tiredly and tried to sleep.

Two weeks had passed since Rurik and Shiva were saved and thanks to Rurik's attention and Shiva's willingness to give blood they were both almost completely healed in no time... almost. Shiva still had some trouble with her arm and walking on her still slightly numb leg but she was quick to take care of her masters needs just as before, maybe even more so with how much time they had been spending together and how close they had grown. She was really starting to see him as more then just her master, he was her friend and well... she liked him more then she knew any slave or servant should like their masters. However the fun didn't last long for her as she was informed that they would be making a trip to the other vampire kingdom later that day and she had to go ahead and set up for their departure. Her and Rurik would be staying in the other kingdom just for a few days so Rurik could get to know the women and see if he liked any of them. This really bothered Shiva but she was determined to keep it to herself this time. "I'm packed and the carriage is ready Master, do you need help?" she asked softly as she knocked on Rurik's door softly.
