Romulus was silent, staring at Antonio. "You know, Lovino is a really grouchy, angry person. He's rude to everybody he meets and pushes people away. He curses a lot and throws food at people he doesn't like. So it makes me wonder. Why do you like him so much? What are your intentions for him?" he asked, his voice getting slightly cold as he asked the questions.

Antonio frowned just a teenie tiny bit. This was a bit of an awkward conversation to suddenly be apart of. He'd love to avoid it, but that wouldn't get him anywhere either. He flashed back to the last few times he'd talked to Lovino and the look the other male got on his face when he mentioned how much his grandpa disliked Antonio. So he just met Romulus' eye right on. "Even if he yells and hits me, I don't care!" he exclaimed. A second later, his defiance switched to an earnest look. "Every single thing he does is adorable to me and I love him. I can't say why I do, but I know he needs it. So even if you never like me, slam the door in my face, or tell me to go, I'll still always love my cute little Lovi!"

Romulus stared at Antonio for another moment after he had finished speaking before suddenly bursting out laughing. "You've sure got guts kid, snapping back at me like that." he said, stopping his laughter and his face getting serious. "Lovi definitely needs love in his life. So, remember this one thing." He stopped and leaned closer to him, his voice turning low and serious. "If you EVER do anything to hurt him in any way, I'll make your death look like an accident." He remained serious for another second before suddenly smiling and backing up. "I have some work to get back to. Don't make a mess of my house." With that, he turned and left the room.

Antonio stared wide eyed at the other man when he started to laugh. It made him feel worried and like he just misinterpreted everything that was going on. Wouldn't be the first time. Romulus' words turned serious though and so did Antonio's expression. "I understand and I definitely won't hurt him!" He didn't back down one bit despite everyone always saying he was an idiot. He knew how to be strong too. A second later, he let out a bright grin and yelled after the older man. "Kay! Thanks for not kicking me out!"

"I could still always change my mind about that. Don't trash my kitchen." Romulus called back, entering his office. He left the door open a crack before sitting at the desk. He was taking a chance with leaving the boy alone, and if he heard anything off, he'd throw him out. But, he wanted to get some work done before the boys got home. Glancing at the clock, he noticed they should be returning in an hour or so. That would give him time to get at least half of this done before needing to go start on dinner.

Antonio decided he'd already gotten in good graces though and no matter what Romulus told him, he was something like welcome. With that thought in mind, he decided to find room for his food in the fridge where it was better off then went to the couch and sat. Ten minutes later of waiting in silence, he drifted off into siesta mode. It was a wonderful time for a nap after all.

Lovino walked home in silence from work. Well, as silent as it could get when you have your brother chatting away in your ear. He wasn't even sure what the other was even talking about anymore; that's how zoned out of the conversation he was. It was a relief when they reached their house. All he wanted to do was get something to eat and get some sleep. But he stopped inside the doorway to the living room, seeing who was sleeping on the couch. He was confused about why Antonio was here, and determined to get answers, went over to him and pushed him off the couch to wake him.

Antonio flailed and let out a loud cry. A second later, he crashed into the floor and looked around. "Ah...Lovi?!" he whined. "What was that for?" He started to smile though and grabbed hold of the other, trying to pull him to the floor as well. "But even so, welcome home my little cutie!"

Lovino face flushed slightly at being called a cutie and he jerked away from Antonio, refusing to let himself to be pulled to the ground. He moved back a few steps, away from other. "I'm not cute!" He exclaimed. "And what the hell are you doing in my house?" he asked, confused by why Antonio was here. Not that he wasn't happy to see him. But he was pretty sure Romulus was home, so he was confused by this.

"You're very cute," Antonio repeated without hesitation. He sat up and scratched his head, leaving his hair even more sleep-tousled looking than it had been. "Well, I made some flan and I wanted to see you. I put it in the fridge so feel free to eat some after dinner. Should I not be in your house?" They were dating so it only made sense that he would sometimes come over.

"It's not that you can't be here, okay? It's just.... Nonno is home. I'm surprised he didn't throw you out." Lovino said. With his attention on Antonio, he didn't notice his grandfather come up behind him and grab him in a hug.

"Here's my adorable grandson~" Romulus said, hugging the squirming boy tightly.

"Let go of me!" Lovino exclaimed, trying and failing to get him to let go.

Antonio chuckled at seeing Lovino squirm. It really was good to know other people saw him as adorable. "It's fine. We had a little talk already," he said with a smile, though this one a little more serious than his usual one. He glanced toward the kitchen where Feliciano had already disappeared and a delicious smell wafted. "Can I stay for dinner?"

Romulus thought for a moment, barely even noticing Lovino trying to get him to let go. While he liked having the time with his grandsons, he wanted to see how Lovi and Antonio interacted. "I suppose you can stay this time." he eventually said, finally releasing the boy from his hold. Said boy instantly moved to the kitchen and away from the two of them.

Antonio watched Lovino flee before he turned back to Romulus. "Thank you." With that said, he turned and ran after his boyfriend. "Lovi! Why are you running! Come back!" He captured Lovino from behind and wrapped arms around him in another hug. It just wasn't fair that his grandpa got to hug him and Antonio didn't so this was just to even the count.

Lovino stiffened for a second before his face turned red and he started struggling again. "Let go of me, tomato bastard! Why is everybody hugging me today?" It's not that he minded when Antonio held him. But he really didn't like being grabbed suddenly like that. Especially not from behind. It's to surprising. Besides, he's been hugged enough for today. As long as Feliciano didn't decide to do it as well, he'd be fine.

Antonio held onto Lovino for a few extra seconds even though he struggled. He wouldn't be too mean though and did eventually let him go. "Because hugging is good and I like to hug you?" he said in a questioning voice. It didn't really seem like a big deal to him.

Feliciano giggled from where he'd been inspecting the food. "Can I have a hug too?" Antonio preferred to hug Lovino, but it didn't seem like it would hurt, so he gave the other twin a quick hug too. Hopefully Lovi wouldn't mind.

Lovino wouldn't admit his disappointment when Antonio let go of him. He hadn't really meant for him to let go! Though his eyes narrowed into a glare when Antonio hugged Feliciano. His hands clenched into fists for a moment before he forced them to relax. He was determined to ignore the both of them as he went to set the table.

After another minute, they all sat down to dinner with Antonio trying to get Lovino to smile without making any mistakes with his grandpa. With more or less left him just sitting there with a giant grin on his face because he couldn't come up with any good idea. He never did well with thinking. But still, it was a pleasant dinner and they were all eating well in peace.

Lovino ignored Antonio the best he could. He wasn't really in the mood for talking. Yet that didn't stop Romulus from trying to get him involved with the conversation. Whenever he had to answer, it was in short, one-word sentences. He soon finished eating and put his plate in the sink. Before he could go anywhere though, he was reminded that it was his turn again to wash dishes. Which he really didn't want to have to do.

At the mention of dishes, Antonio jumped up. "I'll help him!" He got a look for that, but Romulus and Feliciano left him and Lovino alone in the kitchen. Antonio found it easier to talk like this and his smile came out a little more relaxed. "Come on, Lovi. I'll do the drying and it won't be so bad." He could tell the other didn't want to do this chore, but couldn't washing dishes be fun if you did it with someone you liked?

"I don't need your help." Lovino snapped, filling the sink with water. Couldn't Antonio tell that he wanted to be alone? He thought he had been obvious from the way he had been acting at dinner. But then again, his boyfriend was extremely dense and had to have things like this spelled out to him. "Why don't you go hang out with Feliciano." he told him. Though he wanted the other to refuse and stay with him, he was still angry about earlier.

Antonio scratched his head, a confused look passing over his face. "Why would I want to hang out with Feli?" he asked. He still stood in the middle of the kitchen, unsure if he really should be leaving or not. After a second, he decided to stay and went to grab a drying towel and swung it around as he waited for Lovino to wash enough dishes. "I think I'd rather be right here!"

Lovino was silent for a moment. "Do what you want, you bastard.." he eventually said. He kept his eyes on what he was doing, but his mind kept wandering to Antonio. Every time he caught his mind wandering, he'd mentally slap himself and refocus on the dishes. It took a while, but he eventually washed them all. He immediately left the room to find Romulus to get his phone back.

Antonio hummed a little as he did the drying. Lovino kept almost looking at him like he thought he was sneaky, but he really wasn't. Antonio decided not to meet his eye though because he didn't feel like getting hit. "Lovi?" he asked when the other took off out of the kitchen without a word. "Where'd he go? Lovi!" He lost track of the other and found himself confused as to where his boyfriend went. Which was kinda unfair because he wanted to say a nice and proper good bye before he went home.

Lovino found Romulus in his office. But the old fart wouldn't give him his phone unless he gave the man a hug. Which he reluctantly did, grumbling to himself the entire time. But the older man just beamed at him and handed it over. He snatched it back and left the room, going through it to see the messages he had missed; mostly from Antonio. He wasn't paying attention to where he was going, and ended up running into said man.
