Alfred stumbled slightly when Ivan started dragging him, but he quickly regained his footing. "Can we stop and get food first?" he asked, his stomach growling loudly. He hadn't had time to eat anything yet, after all. All he's had was coffee and that wasn't going to be able to satisfy him for very long.

"We can eat when we get there!" Ivan exclaimed as he led them to his car. He looked at Alfred and amended after a second when he reminded himself to be more considerate. "Fine...what do you want to eat?" he asked with a sigh as he started the car. Classical music played softly from the radio which helped when the roads here got so busy.

Alfred pouted slightly when Ivan said they'd eat when they got there. That was to long a wait! But he felt better when he said they could get something. He couldn't stop the small frown that formed when he heard the music. But he didn't say anything about it. He thought about the question for a moment. "We could get some breakfast burritos. They're good and easy to eat on the road." he said.

"Fine. I trust fast food is alright for you, considering just how much of it you eat. Mc Donald's is your favorite right?" he said as he drove toward the nearest one. Even if he hadn't researched Alfred in the past, he'd probably guess that. Mc Donald's just seemed right for him. He personally didn't plan to eat though.

"Yep! McDonald's is the best! Especially their burgers, but it's to early for that. Unfortunately." Alfred exclaimed. He knew not everybody agreed with him about the greatness of the place. But they just didn't understand good food is all. He fully believed that, despite Matthew and everybody he knows telling him otherwise.

"And here I was thinking you could eat burgers at any time of day," Ivan muttered under his breath as he pulled into a parking lot. He was trying to be nice today though, so he didn't mention that McDonald's didn't even count as food. He went through the drive thru, ordered the burrito and dropped it in Alfred's lap. "Is that good enough for you?" He shook his head, eying the other man. "I wonder how you can eat so much of that and still look cute. Ah to be young..."

It wasn't that he couldn't eat a burger at anytime of the day. He's had a breakfast burger before. It's just that they were really messy and Alfred didn't want to make a mess in Ivan's car. "This is great." he told him, happily eating. "I have a really high metabolism. And I work out." he responded, chewing his food. He swallowed as the rest of what was said clicked in his mind. "You think I'm cute?"

Ivan rolled his eyes. He didn't really need an explanation about metabolism despite bringing up the subject himself. It didn't matter after all. He glanced over before turning his attention back to the road. "Yes. You are very cute." Blunt. No room for hesitation or explanation. It was simple truth and didn't need more detail after all. Alfred looked absolutely adorable in his eyes.

Alfred blushed lightly and turned to look out the window. Cute wasn't really a word people used to describe him. Well, his mom did when he was younger. And still did now. But she was his mother, so she was an exception. Most people used words like handsome or sexy. But those people just wanted in his pants for the night and their opinions didn't matter past the night. Ivan's opinion did, since he was going to be around for a while. ".... Thanks?...."

"You're welcome!" Ivan exclaimed. He didn't see why this was any kind of revelation and he felt pretty sure he called Alfred cute in some way before now, though he was oblivious and may not have been paying attention. "Don't you think you're cute? It's not a surprise at all. I wanted to date you and play tetris and eat yummy borscht with you after all. Why would I do that if I did not think you were cute?"

"Cute is what someone would call a little kid or animal. Seeing as how I'm neither of those things, of course I wouldn't think you thought that." Alfred said. "And I don't know why you would do those things. I don't know how your mind works." And he didn't want to know. Ivan had thought handcuffing him had been a good idea, after all. He didn't want to delve into that mind.

"Bunnies and Alfred's are both cute," Ivan said with a shrug. "Why shouldn't they both be cute." He sighed and tried his best to concentrate on driving. Of course he heard before that his mind worked strangely. Even his father told him that more than once, but Ivan figured if it did, his father was at least half to blame. Why did any of this matter anyway? "But we are supposed to be having pleasant conversation because this is a date!"

Alfred's blush deepened slightly and he stared out the window until it went away. He didn't understand how Ivan couldn't understand he didn't want to be called cute! He was a man! Not some little kid. But he could tell he wasn't going to be changing the other's mind about this and let the matter drop. Once his blush was gone he turned back to the other. "You're right... How have you been?" he asked. That was pleasant conversation, right?

"Oh, I've been very well. I work and the deals go through and no one has written a slandering magazine article about me yet. Which I think is very impressive with the media here." Ivan let loose a smile because that did certainly constitute a good week. "Have you been well? Do anything more than just play video games?"

"I've been great!" Alfred exclaimed. Though he had to think about the second question. Playing video games is mostly what he has been doing this past week. "I didn't just play video games... I hung out with Mattie a couple days." he said. Sure, his brother hadn't been much fun, more focused on his schoolwork. But they still hung out. So that was something.

"That is good," Ivan hummed. He could tell from Alfred's response though that he had to think of something besides video games to mention. Honestly, what a boring pastime. He needed to liven things up more and Ivan was more than happy to help with that. "You and your brother sound close. It surprised me too much to see him standing next to you!"

"Well, we are twins. Of course we're close." Alfred said. "I've always looked after him and stood up for him. Though there are a few times when people have gotten us mixed up." Though it was mostly people mistaking Matthew for Alfred. The only time it was the other way was when it was one of his twin's friends who were always disappointed to find out it was him and not Matthew. But he let those times slid and stood up for Matthew whenever someone threatened him, thinking he was Alfred.

"You look too similar," Ivan whined. "It confuses a man when he gets two wonderful things in front of him at once! But you are much more interesting. And cuter." He couldn't explain it well, but it had to be Alfred. "But it is nice to be close to family. It is the privilege of those with good homes." He wouldn't call his own an unpleasant family, but it couldn't be explained in anything as simple as 'happy together' either.

"Of course we look similar! We're twins! I just said that." Alfred said. Though he knew he was more interesting that Matthew, he wouldn't say he was cuter. His brother was as cute as a button, as their mother would say. He was happy with his family, it was a good home, for the most part. But there were times when things were complicated. Mostly when they were younger. But he didn't like thinking about that, so he pushed the thought away. "Are we there yet?" he asked suddenly.

Ivan could still complain about the similarity whether Alfred just said so and he let out a little huff at the thought. "You have the patience of a small puppy, but yes, we will be there in five minutes," Ivan said. He resisted the urge to roll his eyes only because eyes were for looking at the road. Best always to be safe. For the rest of the drive, he focused on the actual driving and managed to pull into the parking lot before the clock reached eleven. "There."

Alfred spent the rest of the ride looking out the window, taking in the scenery. "Sweet! Let's go!" he exclaimed once they were parked. He unbuckled and got out of the car, bouncing slightly as he waited for Ivan to get out as well so they could go. He was excited about this, though he didn't normally get excited about informational things like museums.

Ivan sighed at Alfred's energy, but in reality he felt like he could absorb it up. After a second of just looking at him, he lead the way into the museum where a line had formed to get tickets. It could be so unpleasant to wait, but Alfred hadn't wanted to get started at an earlier hour. It took them close to ten minutes to get their tickets, but they finally stood in the large hanger that made up the Air and Space Museum. "So, where do you want to start? It looks like most of the planes are on the top level and the space exhibit is down below."

Alfred was bouncing on the balls of his feet while they waited to get their tickets. He was so excited he could barley contain himself. "Planes first!" He exclaimed, grabbing Ivan's hand and pulling him after him as he took of to reach the correct part of the museum. The planes definitely held more appeal to him than the space exhibit, but he did want to see both. Just this one first.

Ivan startled, but after a second, he smiled and tangled his fingers with Alfred's. It felt so much more like a date when they held hands, like some of Alfred's energy might rub off on him. "Okay, lead the way." He felt content to follow for once and kept his eyes up to see the planes that hung from the hanger ceiling or the smaller planes and partial structures that lines the floor. In the center of the room, a missile towered up, starting deep in the basement floor and still reaching nearly to the ceiling. "I can't believe they fit all of this stuff in here..."

Alfred happily led the way, looking around at all the planes with wide eyes. "Well, this is a pretty big building." he responded, still walking. He absently swung their hands between them as he walked, not even noticing. He was to focused on the planes. He stopped in front of one and read the sign in front of the display.
