Well, you can think of it this way -- people who celebrated their 21st birthday may or may not even remember what they did that day! So at least you remember how you spent it :)

I was thinking of ordering an alcoholic beverage for the hell of it! Supposedly I'm not supposed to drink while taking my meds, but I'm pretty sure it won't kill me.
Ever since I was a little kid there was this restaurant that sold these cotton candy drinks that had cotton candy in them and they were alcoholic and I've always wanted to try those.
The thing is, I have a HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE fear of throwing up, so I'd be way too concerned with getting drunk and throwing up to actually enjoy a drink. :c

You could just sip at it little by little. The same drink over a longer period of time is less likely to make you drunk than if you drank it all at once :)

I'm not going to advocate drinking to one who's never drunk before, but if you do drink, be safe, be careful, and be aware of your own limitations, its supposed to be a merriment. people who drink solely for the purpose of getting drunk always end up with a whole chain of regrets that can't be taken back, so just remember to stop at happy

Also, if you do decide to drink, make sure you are with people you trust and who know how to handle the situation in the case that you have a little (or a lot) too much.

definitely, don't ever drink alone, or with people you're not sure you can trust with your well-being. and never leave your drink unattended. there are some strange people in this world, and it only takes a second for someone to slip something into your drink

Or just don't drink. That works too. I have several friends who have never consumed a drop of alcohol in their lives due to religious reasons (they are Muslim), and the great thing about that is they don't have to worry about the consequences of possibly drinking too much. And at the same time, most of the friends in our group do consume alcohol to some degree, so they have witnessed and experienced what needs to be done and how things should be handled if someone does overdo the alcohol.

I didn't do anything special on my 21st birthday because I was pregnant and taking a medication that I was warned not to even take a sip of alcohol with.
By birthday is 4-20...so I have made up for not celebrating my 21st on several birthdays since! Lol!
Ava, you should Google "Vampire inspired adult beverages" and go to a bar and order a Vampire Drink!
(My only concern would be if you are taking any meds that alcohol will affect...make sure ya know before partaking!)
A day at mall sounds fun! ....it has been YEARS since I was inside a mall!
I hope ya have, like, the BEST TIME EVER!!

I stopped drinking altogether for my ministry.
I don't think a drink or two will damn you but if the people I try to get in church see me with a drink they write me Off as a hypocrite.
To quote Paul, all things r legal, not all things r wise.
If I eat meat I sin not, but if eating meat causes a brother to stumble I don't eat meat.
I learned about the vampire gimlet in Fairbanks Alaska. I was there with the army back in 72

Seamen have always interested me.
I do enjoy a good sea shanty every now and then, I've always wanted to know if anyone in my family was a sailor.
No one is. But I have a cousin who's in the marines and he sails.
He's been to many countries and I think it's cool.

I'm pretty sure that my step-grandfather, with whom I lived with till my grandmother died, was a cook on a navy ship...
At least, that's what he used to tell me....and we had these huge pots in the cabinet....far larger than we would ever have need for...that he said he acquired while he was the ship's cook.
He recited some shanty/ballad/poem, when I was a kid...I don't remember any of the words, but I remember being transfixed by the rhythm in with which he spoke the words!
(That was one of the more memorable memories of him....for he was rarely tender...or "fun"...being a hardened and gruff old man.)
I once rode in a small sailboat on the rather scary Columbia River...when I was a kid...with my best friend and her dad, the school principal! ....I have never aspired to sail again, since! Lol!

I could, possibly, save my own life, from drowning....in relatively calm waters....MAYBE!
But the Columbia River is big & rough...with these whirlpools that form, sucking victims to the jagged bottom!
It separates Washington State from Oregon, where I lived.
It's popular with wind surfers.
The area is rich with history,...should provide lots to read about!
