No puking though. But alot of something else.
a friend of mine had something similar recently and was eventually admitted to hospital. turns out she had a serious intestinal infection, and it had been festering in there for years. not that I'm trying to worry you or anything, but another friend of mine went into the emergency room with a similar complaint a few years ago and was released a few days later with a new baby. she 'apparently' didn't even know she was pregnant

The BF's boss was recently admitted to the hospital....
He wasn't feeling well...thought that pooping would help...but not much happened...
He started feeling worse, so he went to the ER, where he was diagnosed with a tear in his colon.
Doc said if he had waited till morning, he may not have survived!
So...antibiotics & surgery fixed him up...he THOUGHT!
He was back in the hospital less than a week later due to all the GOOD bacteria in his stomach having been killed off by the antibiotics!
He was treated and released...and then he flew to Hawaii for a week! Lol!
Sometimes its best to have stuff checked out and not try to "wait it out!"

Sometimes drinking Pepsi can settled a "bad" stomach.
I hope everybody is having a good weekend!

Nah, it's nothing major.

It has been going around my area for awhile now. My mom got it less than a week ago and it finally hit me out of the blue.

It's just going to take a few days to fully recover but i'm going to get over it like my mother did.

Thanks.

I'm feeling alot better today but still kinda horrible. I don't get sick often or anything. So it sucks when I do get hit.

Being sick definitely sucks.

Is anyone going to do anything special for the Super Bowl?

The hubs went to his parents for their superbowl party. I stayed home with the girls - football is not my kind of thing, so this worked out for us. :) He had fun though! ^_^

Sounds like a good compromise, Livi
I went out to eat with my parents (my dad is the only one interested in football). We watched up until the halftime show where I fell asleep and had to be brought home.

The halftime show was pretty good, I don't like Beyonce or Bruno Mars or coldplay but it was entertaining and really cool how they got those three unlikely artists to come together.

It worked out for us.

I used to watch it with my family - ages ago - it all kind of has lost it's appeal. We went to the park, and spent time outside instead of inside in front of the TV. So the girls were tired out - and both went to bed when it was bed time instead of fighting it - so win/win! :D

I watched crime shows after we went grocery shopping.
I'm not opposed to playing sports, I just don't care for watching them on TV.
These days my favorite sports r volley ball, which I'm no longer any good at but still enjoy, hiking& pretending to b a dog&chasing the grandkids around, ruff! Bark!!!!

I'm rewatching Dexter in the down time. Got it cheap on Bluray on Ebay. Which isn't a bad thing because it's all in a good condition.

I like Dexter. At least till the latter half the series.

I've never watched Dexter. :o

I don't care for sports either, Ches. I don't understand the point of them...

Anyway, I did enjoy the halftime show. At least, until I finally heard the lyrics to Beyonce's song. She's basically going on about how black she is. :|

I mean, that's great and all... but... seriously, she didn't have to write a song for us to know she is black.

I could never understand that one drop rule, but I think that only applies to black ancestry and I think that is a rule to support racism maybe. :o At least, that's what I understood of it.

I knew this girl in the hospital and she was like, "Would you believe my great grandfather was a black Jew?" And I said... no. I mean, she was blonde, straight hair, and she was from Ukraine. I mean, I didn't know there were any black people in Ukraine back then! I mean, I'm not calling her a liar, I just wouldn't have been able to tell that by looking at her.

We talked about this because of the Rachel Dolezal thing. I thought that was stupid of that woman to pretend to be black when she wasn't. I don't think there's anything wrong with liking black culture and wanting to show support... but lying about being black and making up hate that you've never experienced is demeaning.

Anyway,
I'm sure you'd look at me and wouldn't know that my grandfather was German....

Nothing ticks off Indians more than white people pretending they're part Indian.
So I don't mention my great grandma to them cause they don't believe me.
My wife in the other hand is 1/4 Indian.
The old 1 drop rule was to protect Rascim.
From what I've read on the subject race is an illusion.
We all came from one gene pool in north central Africa.
I'm soooooo OK with being a transPlanted African.
But then u know how is danged liberals r.

The thing about gene pools is that people have alot of different races in them. Some are combinations of many many different ones.

The US is a good example of that because of the mixed culture of all types. You include origination point before the founding of the US or immigration as the US grew in its early days and there's just so many races.

Finding Your Roots, a PBS show, gives a good a good indication of how the gene pool of the US is. You'd be surprised.
