usually I feel the same way with cherry flavored things.
but bing cherries, the dark ones, are just tart/sweet enough.
I have to pit them so no one chokes on the pit at the barbeque.

Also, every summer Papa Vampire would buy a huge box of rainier cherries and Ava would eat them for days!

Is anyone here excited for Halloween?

Us witches should be ready for some spoopy stuff happening soon! :D

i'm SO EXCITED for halloween!! i've been excited for halloween since last november.
i'm really excited to look at halloween decorations at Target and Michael's and maybe some other places, altho i don't think i'm gonna buy any this year because 1. i have no money and 2. my partner and i bought a Bunch last year.

I love Halloween I always hope for the first snowfall to happen then or a little bit before

I am very excited for Halloween this year.
Hopefully, if we move in time, I will be going to Stan Lee's comic con for Halloween.

I've been working on my costume, slowly, slowly for it...
But now that it's September I really need to get my ass in gear!

I still have to work on my headdress and horns. That is going to take me the longest time, I believe and I've been putting it off 5ever. I still need to get a few more supplies, but once I get those, I'll be ready to rock and roll.

Where I live, it would be a wasted effort to decorate for Halloween.
We live in a very remote location where our trailer can't even be seen from the road...and we won't have any trick or treaters coming to our place.
I may go into the city and give out candy at Hope's house...
I miss going all out on Halloween. ..we used to have someone dress up like a fake monster and sit on the porch and scare the trick or treaters...other times someone might hide in a pile of leaves and jump out.
We never had leftover candy because kids would go get their friends to come to our house.
But, that was when we lived in the city...before we moved to an isolated location in the mountains.

You can always just decorate for your own enjoyment though. :]

I am old and lazy and depressed...decorating for only myself would only remind me of why I'm depressed.
Better to just leave well enough alone, I think.

awww I'm sorry. I just figured if its something that makes you happy than you should do it even if it was just for you. I wish I could decorate but i don't have a porch. and i'm pretty sure my landlord and neighbors would get mad if i stuck halloween decorations in the lawn. xD

I hope that when Halloween does come around, that we can all enjoy it together here on Mene during the event. :) I think that would be a nice change in pace.

Me, I won't be decorating for Halloween...
Unfortunately, we aren't even sure if we will be out in California by Halloween. Our agent promised that our house would sell soon, but unfortunately, so far we haven't had very many people interested. Some say our house is "too big" or "too open" or some other weird reason. :s

that sounds like a magnificent house to me Ava. I love open floorplans. My only issue is that there needs to be 2 bedrooms, an office space to close off the computers and art supplies from the girls, and a wall the tv and video games can go against. xD oh and maybe lots of bookshelf space...

oh and i'm really picky about kitchens and bathrooms. Okay so i'm picky about my houses. But i still love lots of open feel with pillars and stuff like that and gorgeous arch doorways between rooms like the living room and dining room for example. and a circular pathway kids can run safely and tire themselves out.

Don't mind me. I'm just cranky we haven't found a home yet.

I want someone to hurry up and buy it! I am getting tired of waiting around day after day here...

Our house is an open floorplan where the rooms connect in a circular motion, the kitchen is really, really large and we have multiple bedrooms. Three on the top floor, two in the basement. (And one room that has a closet that my mom INSISTS is a bedroom, but I think is way too small to be considered a bedroom...)

Ava, your house sound splendid!...but I have to have at least 1 bedroom on the main floor because of Sarah and her wheelchair.
Do you mind telling us what the selling price is on your house?
I'm just curious how the price might compare to houses selling in the area I live in. Many 3 bedroom homes sell for about $500,000 here.

We never decorate anything except for putting up a Christmas tree. And then we take it down and I go into a state of mourning.

It's currently selling for $375,000 here. It would have been $400,000 because of our location, but our agent said it may be priced too high. (Other houses in our neighborhood sold for less, but those houses were not as big as ours.)

We used to keep our Christmas tree up until April...
