I found the complete set of the original teen titans on youtube. its not as good as the TOTNTT comic book, but its the closest thing this side of Young Justice (they made Nightwing into a real doofball in that). teen titans go is just a bit of fun for the fans, as they do touch on some of the big storylines. even if the focus is on their lives when they're not saving the world. there was a two season run of a book called simply Teen Titans, with a whole new cast, but they were eventually integrated into the Team Titans comic book, an amalgam of both the old, and the new cast. of course, none of those evolutions could ever live up to the original book, so the team has since dissolved into the Justice League family of books. Nightwing's spin off series was a good one. Dick Grayson moved to Gotham's sister, and more sinister, city, Bludhaven. and became his own brand of hero, instead of living forever in the shadow of the bat. they broke him and Kory up in a series of flashbacks, because her innocent persona, and green skin, didn't fit the gritty scene. wow, I'm going to stop now. or I might fill up the entire page. but I'll leave you with, I always wanted to be Robin/Nightwing as a kid, almost as much as I wanted a green eyed glamazon from Tamaran for a girlfriend. so jeally
I will have to post my pictures of me when I cosplayed as Koriand'r and took a picture with Nightwing!
I love Dick Grayson, mostly as Robin, though. I've been trying to collect Robin: Year One but the books are apparently rare. I can't find them at any comic con I go to and so far I only have the second book in the set. Ugh!
I really enjoyed the Teen Titans Go, comics about Nightwing. I love Nightwing as a character but it does suck that he and Kory were split. I didn't like what the did to Kory in Red Hood and the Outlaws. I felt like they made her into someone she's not. George Perez drew her wide eyed, smiling with an innocent persona while in Red Hood and the Outlaws she's more like a sex kitten.
Whatever! I'll post my pictures of me as Starfire. I'm sure you'll like it!

That was my favorite cosplay ever. It felt like I actually got to be Starfire and that was totally a dream come true. ;w;
The Avengers: Age of Ultron was amazing. :o Noooooottt better than the first one. I'm biased, though, Tom Hiddleston takes my breath away. *o*
I hate washing my hair because it's so tangly. D:

^ Better view of my red wig.
I curled it myself and sewed the costume myself from scratch. :D I worked the hardest on that cosplay than any other cosplay. (But it was only my second cosplay ever.)
Menelaus: In case we make it to another page before you see this! :D

I never got around to reading Red Hood and the Outlaws, probably because I hate that they brought Jason Todd back from the brink and squeezed him into the Joker's old (thrust upon him) persona. did you know that they actually had readers vote on how the 'Jason Todd' Robin was going to die? bringing him back after the big song and dance they made of that was like throwing mud in the readers' eyes. I've got 'A Lonely Place Of Dying' in both its original mini-series form (including all of the cross platform tie-ins) and in graphic novel form. so maybe you can find Robin Year One as a complete book. its cheaper and less exclusive that way too. The Dark Knight Returns came in a two part GN, so its possible to get RYO that way too.
your Starfire costume is amazing, and so correct too. lol, you've even got the right skin tone/cheek bones to pull it off, and those eyes, genius. the wig goes without saying that its excellent, and simulating her height with the use of block heels just tees the look off. that guy's Nightwing costume looks like something that would be worn if superheroes were real, though the 'Tim Drake' Robin costume looks shop bought. is that Harley Quin? lol, don't let Cheshire Pisces see that, she's his idol. and Batman, he's got the dark and brooding look down pat. did you all go as a group, or are they just randoms you gathered to take pics with?
How do you avoid washing your hair, Amane?
I've heard of people not washing their hair and their hair being completely healthy and amazingly beautiful! Do you put any products on your hair?
Thanks, Menelaus! :D I'm glad! I worked very hard on that cosplay. I stared at multiple others to get a gist of how I should go about making mine. The eyes were my favorite part. I loved those white contacts and it was awesome! Everyone loved my eyes. :)
No, we weren't a group. I think Robin, Batman and Harley Quinn were a group, but I just snapped a picture with them. I definitely felt like my skin tone would be great for a Starfire cosplay, as my skin is naturally a caramel-ish/orange color and I would not have to use body paint.
I absolutely love Starfire, she's my favorite superheroine.
Oh! I'd love to get RYO as a complete book. I'll have to do some googling to see if I can find it. I really, really want to read the rest of RYO. I've been trying to collect this series since late 2013!
I've just looked on Amazon.co.uk and they have thirty-eight copies available. I know this is no conciliation to you, but maybe they have similar offers on the US site
Hair grease so it's easier to manage. Hence my occasional whining about not liking working with my hair because it's too greasy. Even so, people always tell me how pretty my hair is and start touching it. No complaints about grease, somehow. Perhaps possessing a hairicorn is luck of the draw.
What do you all think of cremation?
When I die, I want to be cremated and put into one of these:
It takes the ashes of a person and turns them into a tree when you plant them into the ground.
I love it because it represents "life" after death.
I hate it when people die and they get buried in the ground with chemicals and shit to keep them looking "pretty" while they rot and it ruins the ground.
lol, you can even have your ashy remains pressed into a vinyl record, or a diamond (its all carbon) but I'm not too sure about the cremation route being for me. I once watched a horror movie where a woman woke up from a death like coma, just as they were rolling her coffin into the easybake oven. atleast if that happened while being buried, I could just fall back to sleep, or play a one man game of eye spy
I dunno, I'd be more afraid of being buried alive.
But mythbusters busted the myth that if you were to be buried alive, you'd literally be crushed to death by the weight of the soil on your coffin. So, I mean... either be buried alive and crushed to death or wake up to a fiery welcome.
lol, some choice. but I think I'll pass on all of the above, and opt for the full immortality package, please. but if I were going to live forever, I'd definitely want some form of 'heal all' deodorant, and an anti-aging throat spray. or I might end up looking like Dorian Grey, Yoda, or Bob Saget
Hm, I don't know who Dorian Grey is.
But I imagine he looks old. Like Keith Richards?
I don't know if I want to live forever. Life is too hard. I thought I wanted to live forever, I want my family and my friends to live forever. If one more of my family or friends die, I am going to lose my shit. But everyone dies. I'm just never ready when they do.
Sorry to get really depressing on you guys for a while there. Just not feeling well right now, I guess...
lol, Dorian Grey is a fictional character by Oscar Wilde. he was an innocent young man turned evil by temptations of the rich and powerful. this was only fueled by the fact that he had a portrait of himself locked away in his loft, which took the brunt of any negative effects on him (eg; aging, injury, morality etc), but he wouldn't look at it, as it reminded him of the monster he truly was. I won't spoil the ending, as its a book everyone should read for themselves (the movie barely scratches the surface) but I will leave you this link so you can find out more at your own convenience. happy reading
lol, I forgot that he played in that too. but any book by either Oscar Wilde or George Orwell is worth a good readage. one has a fondness of aristocratic deviance, and the other thinks that the world will end with a socialistic whimper. both are very dark and brooding men with surprisingly sunny dispositions
