I am trying to decide what type of background I want for my avatar.

Oh, they're so yummy. Their advertised charm is that they're gluten-free, but I eat them just because I like 'em. The ones I've had are crunchy but not super crunchy.

Mother doesn't like how much they cost. If I don't devour them, we won't buy them often, so she hopefully won't complain too much.

They do indeed look good.

Back in college I got hold of some vegan chocolate cookies and they were soooo freaking decadent I can't even. I just bought them because chocolate chocolate chunk, forget about the vegan part X'D.

I've got a couple vegan cookie recipes (not those chocolate ones, sadly, dammit I should've asked), but again; it's because I like the cookies, not because of being vegan X'D. Also no eggs, which is good because mom eats eggs...a lot. We're usually missing them when I need some for baking XP.

This was the longest hospitalization I have ever had and it was easily the worst experience, but I am glad to be back! :D

It did some good and bad. I was taken advantage of in the ambulance while I was restrained because I was 5150'd. (Which means in California that you're being held against your will for three days.)*

So after the ambulance tech molested me and I finally made it to the hospital, I ended up getting more out of control because the doctor was clueless about how to handle me. He started me on haldol, but it made my hormones messed up, so for a week I was off medication there and I was reeking havoc so my doctor but me on the worst drug ever, Seroquel and it made me sleep for hours.

After three weeks trials and errors, I ended up having to take the clozaril, which is medication for treatment-resistant schizophrenia. It worked, but no2w I drool like a zombie.

I also ended up being talked down to by staff because of my illness.

**edit; So I was 5150'd which is a three day hold, then the hospital went to th judge to see if I was fit to leave after 3 days, but I wasn't so I was committed for another 14 days and after that, I had a hearing and the judge decided that I wasn't ready to leave so they out me o a 30 day hold, and that's why I was gone so long.

I hope you've made an official complaint against the ambulance tech.

Same about the ambulance tech. If he gets some sort of genital disease (not from you, from someone else), he kinda deserves. Also to lose his job, for being a dick.

And WTF??? A judge isn't? A doctor???? I'm confused.

My case had to go to court to see if I could go home or if I was so "gravely disabled" that I had to stay in the hospital.

If I had gone voluntarily I wouldn't have needed to have a hearing before a court, but because I got 5150'd my case had to be sent to a judge to review to see if I needed to stay longer.

In my case, I didn't need to be present. I think how it works here in California and most states is that, if you're brought in by police against your will, then you are usually seen by a judge and a bunch of doctors working on your case to determine whether or not you need to stay longer or not.

Apparently, my doctor felt I was too "disabled" to say anything useful at a hearing so thy had it without me, and that's how my holds kept getting extended.

Well that is crummy but it is good to have you back Ava.

So, Ava...are you taking a different medication now. ..and if so, is it working for you?
Has this experience helped you to get a psychiatrist and/or a councilor?
Hopefully things will be better for you, now...and there will not be any more extended hiatuses from Mene!

It just seems odd to have a judge decide that for you.

Then again ours is different over here, ours is Section 4 of the Mental Health act were you're a danger to yourself and/or others, where it takes two doctors and the police. Then it's all down to a pshych doctor.

One thing HIM does know for sure is pshych nurses come in pairs.

I didn't attend my own hearing, so I'm not 100% positive it's a "judge" but it could be a head psychiatrist that they use as a judge for my case.
