I know that feel, Amane!!
It's kind of like... when you send nudes to people. It's the same thing, you send them the nudes and then you're like, "Oh shit. Why did I do that?!" And then years later you're paranoid the person you sent them to still has them and might be doing all sorts of crazy things with them.
I mean... yeah. I TOTALLY get how that is! D:

I once made a thread somewhere on another forum that ended up making the first page on Google search.
I didn't know it until this forum's admin wrote me and said, "Hey, your thread is on the first page of Google search when I google our forum!"
Thankfully Sadly, the forum ended up being closed down due to not enough members supporting it financially and the admins being unwilling to put more time and effort into making the forum actually work.

What if you made an awesome legendary post??!

*horror movie scream*
I would love to be an awesome legendary post.
One of my really bad posts on a forum was deleted because certain subforums work that way there. Threads over about a month old or so are automatically deleted. Devastating at first. A blessing later.

lol, the spoiler fixed itself, or maybe I just needed to refresh
if you know yourself, or even have any inkling of your own self worth, then it doesn't matter what people think of your actions, because you would know in yourself that you did the right thing. any other way and you're leaving your persona open to abuse

I love it when my stupid posts get deleted.
It's a blessing, indeed.
But I mean, the best thing to do is just try not to make embarrassing posts online. xD Easier said than done!

I do in fact have no sense of self-identity or worth. I'm one of those people who consider it more important to make others happy by doing what they want and supporting them. I want to be liked. Have a good impression. On top of it, I tend to absorb others' personalities and am left with a hollow shell or a fading imprint once they're gone. This one time, I read a post-apocalypse fantasy trilogy and have never been as alert as I was in the following few days. It was cray.
/they were fighting a lot and sneaking around
/constantly on the run
/AND THERE WAS SO MUCH BLOOD OMG
I can say I've changed. I'm more aware of what's acceptable and what isn't. I was less aware as recently as a month ago, let alone five years ago. Thinking about the things I used to say makes me cringe, and I'd rather forget. I hope the people I used to talk to forgot and aren't thinking about how stupid I was. 'Cause they probably still think I'm that stupid.
"Only the Internet," you say. It's the entire world, not your childhood village, laughing at you, thinking someone that stupid walks Earth, and pulling out the "I don't want to live on this planet anymore" meme because of it.

The Internet really is the entire world. It's a bunch of people from all over the globe, watching you, judging you and the worst thing is you'd never know what they're thinking or saying about you.
I don't judge people online, but a lot of people do, it seems. Lol, "I don't want to live on this planet anymore". Yeah. When people do stupid things online it haunts them for the rest of their lives... Like Boxxy. Or even the Chocolate Rain guy, except his song was an amazing time in Internet history. Or even Magibon. I bet she looks at her videos and face palms. But now the world knows her as that creepy weeaboo who stares at the camera trying to be cute.

You're a nice person on the Internet. The Internet I know is cold and unforgiving. You don't want to slip up.

lol, but that's the point, it is only the internet. so what if a bunch of thirty-something social nobodies who live in their grandmother's basements are sitting in their Cheeto covered Spiderman pants laughing at a blue screen. how am I caring about what they think of something which I randomly posted on a social site? they don't even know me. and tomorrow on the internet I can be whoever I want to be, man woman child or beast, they would never know it was me. but in real life? I always wear this face

There was This one time that I got really close to a guy I met online.
And we exchanged phone numbers and talked every day, and then I told him a lot of really personal things from my life with him, then one day he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said no and then he flipped the fuck out in me and started harassing me online and via text.
And I'm pretty sure he started spreading rumors about me to all of our mutual friends and like.. No. The Internet is only okay if you can somehow manage to keep your anonymity. Otherwise, you're exposed. Open to judgement and open to having all of your secrets used against you.

you can only feel shame if you have done something wrong. I do know wrong therefore I have nothing to be ashamed of. if you're feeling shame, then you obviously do not know yourself. and without knowing yourself, how can you truly know anything? the shame paradox continues
and that's why internet safety is vital, because without it your online life begins to leak into your real life, and if you've seen The Lawnmower Man, you'd know that that's a definite no no

I'm always changing and being ashamed of my old self.
Oh, I keep my anonymity. But I tend to use the same name.

as long as you learn something from your past self, and understand it as part of the growth process which led you to where you are now, then everything's Mr Tinker

Who speaks Latin?!?!
What country is Latin from?!!? Is it a Catholic language?!
I know nothing about Latin!! ;_;
I'm in love with the Beatles. I used to be a big fan in middle school until my love for rock music slowly faded away into a strong, passionate love for folk music...
But damn, I had great taste in music!

No one ever told you Latin's a dead language? I guess I wouldn't have known that for most of my life had my sisters not taken it as well. They only took Latin as long as they had to take a foreign language to graduate. I stuck with it from seventh grade until graduation. I love Latin so much. Anyway…
It was the official language of the Roman Empire, which began as just Rome, Italy, and became the largest empire of the ancient world. Founded 753 B.C. Fell sometime in the early centuries AD, and so began the Middle Ages. That's how Latin became a dead language. It was lost except for in religion. The fall of Rome makes me sad, so I kinda block that out without meaning to. Whoops~
Rome was dominantly Christian in its later years, so that's why you see so much Latin in religious text. Since there's a such thing as Roman Catholic, there must be something to be said there, too.
Italian has its roots in Latin. English, Spanish, French, German, and most likely more languages I've forgotten also have roots in Latin. If you learn Latin, you know bits and pieces of all those languages. You knock a few feathers off, like, twenty birds with one stone. Or, perhaps, to adjust that analogy for you and your green ways, you plant one seed and end up with a whole row poking through the dirt.
