Of course they are. Else they wouldn't be something people eat.

one of my neighbours was the head prisoner in Alien 3, he also played the bandit leader in Krull

but London does have more than twenty million people living in it, so while we may be small, we pack alot in

Britain is more prone to sheep aren't they? Or maybe that's just Hollywood images floating on the surface of my mind.

lol, definitely Hollywoodland embelishing the facts again. we do have alot of sheep, but mo more than we have cows and pigs. its just that we never had wars between cattle ranchers and sheep herders, like you guys did in the states. I'll tell you what though, if the sheep men had won, the elasticated pants industry wouldn't be what it is today

We've got some proper british sheepdog trials here. It's coming up in september. It's one of those things people like to back lunches for and make a day of. Really quite lovely. American quite, not british quite.

I've never been to a sheepdog trails before, not living in the countryside and all, but in a past life, when working as a security guard, I guarded the royal Smithfield's show at Earls' Court exhibition centre. its all about agriculture and horticulture. they do a champion sheep show and as a joke by the organisers, another guard and I escorted the prize sheep into the ring. I saw some funny things there too. one guy was kicked in the gut by a bullock, and went flying, buttocks first, through the cow bars. luckily he only suffered a bruised ego, what with him being one of the UK's top cattle breeders. I also witnessed the champion pigs trying to make a break for it. they would have gotten away, if they knew how to open doors. I tell you what though, people think that pigs are the dirtiest animals on the farm. LIES!! its definitely the sheep, they stink, they stink real bad

I'm sure Amane might argue all animals are stinky.

and she'd be right, but as stinkness levels in regard to farmyard animals goes, sheep come a distinct first, closely followed by cattle, then chickens, and finally, pigs. they may roll about in their own feces, but the others just let the die roll wherever it falls

I thought pigs were fairly fastidious animals in reality, hm. I've seen some funny things at the sheep trials. At one point a sheep just threw itself down a little hillock, legs up. Given the fact that they are prey animals, I know this is a defensive mechanism, but it was very expressive to witness and very funny.

oh, they're very clean and clever, especially when it comes to escaping, if only they had opposable thumbs. there were a pair of pigs known as the Tamworth Two (aka Butch and Sundance), who's daring 'prison break' became a media sensation way back in '98. it took authorities over a week to corral them

Animals do smell. I haven't been around enough animals to make that judgment definite for all on my own, but good to know.
