Haha. I had an inkling it was heights. Know one of the best CP rides to not fear heights?

Windseeker. You get to see the bay in its glory. And hopefully overcome your fears.

I am a pastors kid and didn't have as many moves as most kids.
You know it National Cherry Festival! I went last year but not this year.
We also have the TC Film Festival, but this year we had horrible weather.

My older sisters probably remember the moves more than I do. We did a lot
of family trips along the east coast and up to Michigan, to visit my dad and
mom's family, prior to officially settling down in Michigan. Ah those car rides~

Cole: I remember it being huge! I got to take my best friend at the time (I was probably
6 or 7) to eat with us in the mess hall once. I felt like the coolest kid with the best dad ever.

A lot of his family has served in some part of the military. I have an aunt/uncle with four sons
that were all in different parts. I got to go on the submarine my cousin was serving on, but
we only got to go inside it when it was above water. Still pretty neat though when you're a kid.

@Aya: You're super lucky. I've always been interested in the naval stuff and ships so i'm kind of glad you got to experience the a submarine. Probably the Ohio-class if I had a guess. Also being able to board a Nimitz.

Do you like naval history and naval stuff? I'd assume you do? Any specific interests like historical early ships or vessels? Historical conflicts at sea?

@Kirin: Not even going to give it a try? Really? It's fun. :)

Just ignore the fact you'll be on a spinning wheel on a seat that will be hundreds of feet in the air giving you a beautiful view of the park and Lake Erie.

Just think about it. And then walk yourself to Windseeker the next time you go. :P

You won't fear heights once you go high.

I'm not really into naval stuff, I might have been more if we stayed by the ocean. But up here in Michigan most people leave to go attend military training in the southern midwest. Not a lot of them leave to join the navy on any of the coastal locations. I've never had much interaction / exposure / education on navy anything aside from whatever my dad has mentioned growing up.

Kirin: You should come up for the festival some time
Mackinac Island nearby also has the Lilac Festival, very pretty!

@Kirin: Someone needs to forcibly tie you onto that ride so that you can experience it and get over your fear of heights.

@Aya: Ah, well at least your dads side has an interesting family history in the Navy.

So you attend college? What degree? Or no and why?

Nope. I've had my fear of heights since I was two months old and my mom fell down to flights of stairs holding me.

Scarred for life. Might be way more mental of a fear than I thought. Not as much irrational.

Yep, you're screwed. Can't help you there. *climbs tower knowing you hate heights*

Cole: Totally My dad has 12 brothers and 3 sisters- all blood related. Parents were catholic.
Two sets of twins in the family. The majority of his brothers served, and a lot of my cousins have as well.

Nope. I did attend for a little while right after high school, but I had no direction. I didn't want to waste
time and money when I had no clue what I wanted to pursue. I love languages and am a huge Asian nerd.
I like kids but don't want to have any, I would love to travel but am not in the financial state to do so.
I don't have tons of bills; I just bought a car, and then I have some money on a revolving loan, that's it.

At the moment life is focused on my full-time job, paying off my debt, keeping in touch with my family and
enjoying all the great things about technology. Like youtube (jpop/kpop), slash fiction, netflix, ygallery, etc.

Wow, you guys certainly moved this thread along fast!

I didn't quite catch all of what was said...
But I'm from Minnesota. Lived here my entire life and I'm ready to leave and move to California. I was originally planning to move this year, but I ended up back at the hospital a couple of months ago. :( So that put my plans on hold for a while until I get back to baseline and get stability again.

AWWW, GIZZIE!!!!!!
GIZZIE IT'S AWESOME!!!
OMFG I LOVE IT! :D

Thank you so much! I'm going to add it to the front page! ^_^

I used to love K-Pop back in the day,
But I was a bigger fan of J-Rock and Visual Kei.

Nowadays I've straightened out and I'm a folk fan until I die....
I just can't help it... The hipster scene attracts me like a moth to light.

I like some other kinds of music: I love musicals / broadway / geeky stuff.
I enjoy orchestra / classical, celtic, new age, etc. But don't seek it out.

Mainly, it's Asian music Jpop, Kpop, Jrock/alt, Thai, Mando, etc.

I don't listen to the American radio, any stations. So I don't ever know what the latest songs
are, don't care really. Grew up on the oldies, so I know them but don't listen to them regularly.
I was on a Jpop binge, but now I've been Kpopping like mad. I lovingly blame Amane

Amane is to blame for everything~!!!
>:B

"Why is the cat in the trashcan?!"
"Amane did it!!"

"What happened to my fairy wings?!"
"Amane did it!!"

"Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?!"
"Amane hid her!"

I will use this excuse next time something goes missing!

So many great examples!!

OMG I'm so glad you know who Carmen Sandiego is. My really good friend I met through work was born in '95 (so I'm 6 years older than her) doesn't know who CS is!? I've used that quote once or twice and she looks at me with a blank expression

Really?! OMG, I was born in early '95 and I know who Carmen Sandiego is!
I only know who she is because I loved the theme song for the show!
