Had a long day yesterday?

Yes, very. The girl that takes over after my shift likes the "punish" me over small mistakes. But the thing is, those "mistakes" happened on Friday night, and I was working with another girl on that hall that night. And honestly, the only mistake that could have possibly been made that night was the leaving of two soiled diapers in a trashcan, which I most certainly did not do. It must have been the other girl I was working with because she was helping me out on my hall while I helped her on hers (you scratch my back, I scratch yours). That still doesn't sound like something she would have done, but I know for a fact that I did not do it. The other mistakes she claims I made consisted of things that probably happened in between the time my rounds got done and the time she arrived, because I know I left everyone clean and dry and comfortable that night. So literally circumstantial shit happened and she passive aggressively punished me that making me stay later, even though I told her I had school today and a whole bunch of stuff to do before I went to bed last night. So finally, she "lets" me go home half an hour past the time I should have clocked out. And of course, she never thinks I doing my job, because like clockwork, every time she checks in on a resident or two, they happen to not be in the awesome state I left them in. It's like, holy crap, woman, people poop, and it's not on schedule. I check in on them frequently because I know that stuff does happen, but I can't be everywhere at the same time. She thinks she's Wonder Woman, and maybe she is, but she shouldn't take it out on me. /endrant

Thanks for letting me rant. She's just very frustrating. I'm trying to get along with her, but she makes it very hard.

I hope that she comes around eventually because I can imagine working with difficult people sucks the joy out of a job really quickly!!

Yes. Well, a nurse aide. I love my job. It is incredibly rewarding. Often draining, but very rewarding.
