As far as trying to find the perfect weather area, Dazz, you are already there. Oregon can and does get a little warm during the height of summer and also has an a lot of cold and wet weather days, too. When I was growing up in Oregon, there was a joke that Oregonians don't have normal feet, but rather they have webbed feet like ducks have. Quack quack.

Mark Twain is credited with having remarked that the coldest winter he ever spent was San Francisco in July. I just don't believe that is quite true. I don't know of the bay area having true weather extremes in one direction or the other. Perhaps you can tell me differently.

If I were well to do, I would winter in Arizona and spend the summers in Oregon.

Another warm day. Mr x is biking with the hippy guy. Just mobile deposited. Love it. Heard in next town theyre going to meter bank lots!!! Arent the lots the banks property? Thatll be more converts for mobile banking. Owe gf em. Im back logged. Call rowter pooter, thats our name. And away go emails down the drain! #Rowter pooter

---------- Post added 07-04-2015 at 10:42 AM ----------

Mr wrong, sfs temp is pretty moderate. I used to bike to school there. In all temp. Sometimes gutters flooded. Like 3" wide. One memorable day a bus careened thru. Splashdown! All over moi. It is true seasons are reversed. Summer in sf is not hot. Their summer comes later in the yr. Whats drastic about sf is when the fog comes in about 4 p.m. it gets downright, upleft cold. Most touristos might come wearing shorts. Will get Cold later. I never wore shorts in sf. Now that im down here, its always capri weather. But then i complain about the heat.

I confirm that Oregonians were suspected of having webbed feet when I grew up there, also!
...and my grandfather claimed that it always snowed "knee deep to a tall Indian!"
(I suspect that the original claim was much higher on the Indian, but Ass-deep just wasn't something ya said around a little girl! Lol!)
The seasons and weather patterns seem to have changed so much that it would be difficult to pinpoint the perfect place to live....
I suggest a mountainous region with lots of water! ....right now, that describes where I live! ....but the winters can be brutal at 9000 feet!

Hope went to town with her parents....So, the BF, Sarah and I went to the Dog Guy's house for barbeque.
A mutual "friend" was there....(I quote the word "friend" cuz I really don't like the guy...but I behave politely and nod a lot! )
The food was good...ribs and chicken and beans and potato salad and cole slaw....and cake for dessert.
Sarah ate so much food (an unusual thing for Sarah, lately!) that she turned down cake...even after I made her taste it to know what it was!....she said, and signed "Done!"
I am always relieved when she eats well! ...she has been less interested in food, lately...and she has lost a lot of weight!....which makes lifting her much easier for ME!...but, she isn't looking so healthy....
So, its great to see her eat so much food!!

We saw New York's fireworks display, on TV, while at the Dog Guy's house...
My GOODNESS, what a lot of explosives!! ...my mind continuously goes toward how much that must have COST!
...then the BF mentioned how all the debris winds up in the harbor!
....in the name of patriotism, I guess we overlook stuff like that!
But, it was a very entertaining presentation!

Did you do anything special for our nation's birthday?
I just pigged out on food....and watched fireworks on TV....
Nothing terribly special or anything....
Lack of our own transportation really puts a damper on getting to do much....
OH!...and now the Dog Guy's car needs parts that are no longer made! ...wheel bearings for an old Mitsubishi!
So....even THAT form of transportation will soon become unavailable!
(And, to think....I used to drive somewhere EVERY DAY!....I LIVED to have an opportunity to drive any chance I could GET! ...and now I am trapped for weeks at a time without even SITTING inside a car! Tis a wonder I haven't gone mad!...MAD, I tell ya!! Lol!)

I must be tired...for I think I am rambling aimlessly! Lol!
I hope wash-day is light for ya and ya enjoy what's left of the weekend!! !

Ah, lovely wash day?! Youve come again! Come in, come in. Here, drape yourself over this chair. Youre looking, worn, frankly. Did you have a good week? I know what! Lets go to the whirlpool spa! I know its your fav pastime.

Got fan on. Feels like another muggy day. Stayed up till 1 a.m. yesterday. Lost in space was on. Cool mr smith beans. Oh, the pain, the pain! Oh, the heat, the heat! I can do it, too.

Mr x is sleeping on the floor bed here. No raucous tv on? He hasnt started talking? Am i in the right house? He rode with hippy guy yesterday. And apparently hippy guy is a prolific talker. Mr x has met his match.

Charged up my laptop. I knew id rarely use it. Only got it when i was trying to put internet in. And failed. This modem/router i also got in the attempt. Researching if i can use it any other way.

Going to put, blurt tv on a kindle and leave it there till i read the whole thing. The proprietor, menislaus, reminds me of Stanislaus, is a fountain of fascinating info. And i appreciate that.

I totally agree, about Menelaus! I find him quite fascinating!
Other folks who frequent the Blurt TV thread have kidded him about his "know it all" skills and about his "walls of text."
I do admit that, at first glance, his paragraphs seem daunting....but, usually, within the first sentence, one gets drawn into the subject matter and before you realize it, you've read it all!

Oh!...I forgot to tell you, in my last ramblings, that I just love that pic of you...the one in the frame with the contagious smile!!
Every time I look at that picture, I find myself smiling back at ya!

I hope the day at the whirlpool spa was short and sweet....But, when is it Dazzy's day at the spa?
We are expecting a 20 degree drop in temperatures tomorrow!! ....the projected low temp for Tuesday night is 49 degrees!!!
The high for tomorrow is expected to be in the 60's!!
This is highly unusual!!
I find that Sarah and I are quite pale from lack it sunshine....Wearing long sleeves in summer sucks!!
I sooo would appreciate some of that heat that you are sick and tired of! Lol! !

My tablet updated to lollipop. Where is it, I'd like to know. Wearing new camo leggings. Yellow, fuchsia, green, black. Mr x will flip out in delight. He loves camo.

It's low 70s today. A delight to behold.

As predicted, mr x loved my camo leggings. He oohed and ahhed them. Said they were beautiful. However, as the night wears on, hes really been giving me the business. Asking if I'm going commando, Rambo references. He just gave me a mock salute asking should he salute me. #funny boy

Hi, Dazzy! I bet you are basking in the cooler temps!
It is, again, raining and foggy and dreary, here! ....it is 55 degrees at 2pm, as I write this!

The BF used to wear cammo pants all the time! .....till he wore them all out!
I have a winter bib-overall that is cammo....to keep me warm when the snow flies. The BF found it for $10 at a thrift store! I just love it!

I hope your week is going well!
Mine started with Hope running a mystery fever for a day. She had no other symptoms other than the 103 degree fever and being tired.
Then, yesterday, the fever left as quickly as it came and Hope returned to her super-chatty self.....so we slept in today...past noon, even!

Now....if only I could get a little sunshine up in this place, life would be pretty okay! Lol! !

Hi izzy! Its 63* outside, but 76* inside. It is much better. Mr x is pulling apart these choc graham cookies I dumbly got on a hot day. They all stuck together. I'm keeping them in the fridge.

You mentioned sarah made a sign for, done. Does she know more? Can she understand you? Like, she likes riding in cars. Does she know the word for car?

Mr x is still saluting me and calling me commander. I knew he'd react that way.

Monscieur ugly was spotted in frisco! Confirmed on tape. Now hes headed our way. #hides popsicles behind sofa

Mr x has tour de France on.

And so it goes.

Greetings, Dizzy!
Sarah uses a few signs..."more," "drink," "eat," "hungry" and "please."
She uses a sign that she made up for "thank you," and puts her hands up and acts like she is steering a car while saying "caaawww," to indicate she wants to go in the car.
She can make sounds that sound like other words, when she puts forth the effort....cereal, chips, pop,"I go nie nie" are a few.
She has fallen into a rut of making that whining noise for EVERYTHING! ....the noise that scrambles my brain and makes my phone go wacko!
She is 32 years old....I think she has become lazy since she no longer attends school or a day program, where they would have structured expectations of her.
My aggravation comes from the knowledge of her ability to do much more than she chooses to do....and her willingness to continue to do something that obviously irritates me, instead of using those words she knows.
Well....I thought I was gonna have a minute to chat....but a very tired Hope is refusing to allow herself to fall asleep....so, I better go!
I hope ya have a most pleasant Thursday! !

Hi izzy! Hehe, you called me dizzy! And I am:) know what my name is when it rains? #drizzlingdreamberry

How did Sarah react to hope as a baby? Could she hold her?

It's past midnight here. It's been much cooler lately and I've been Lovin it. Cool enough so someone was using fireplace at night. Even so, I've got the fan on.

Had lunch with Mr go today. Soup and half sandwich. #no pie. For ocd ers it was clam chowder and pastrami on Dutch crunch.

Was tooling around with my violet BlackBerry tonight. Was able to pick up you tube. Was watching b.j. Thomas sing, what's forever for.

Got a new Julie Andrews CD. Way old stuff. I really love her voice. It's 4 old albums on one CD. One is, my fair lady.

Picked up first watermelon of the season. Tomorrow is my free day.

My phone is behaving badly! ....I have typed Dazzy enough times that it should be memorized...and it WAS!....but, my phone has been re-booting itself without my permission, and when it does that, it un-memorizes the words that it used to know....Dazzy becomes Dizzy and Hope becomes Hooey,...amongst other aggravating errors! "Smartphone" my fanny! Lol!

I'm glad to hear that the temperature has been more tolerable for ya! ....does that indicate that your summer is about over?
We had a few days that could have been described as "summer" days....then, as if the Independence Day fireworks seeded the clouds, the temperatures dropped and the fog rolled in and it rained, all day, for two days....
The sun is out, today....Maybe it will warm up enough for me to take a layer of clothes off!!

Sarah's reaction to Hope, when Hope was a baby, was to cry! ....She heard the baby crying and it made her cry, too!
She did get to hold her a few times when Hope was little.
Now that Hope can climb and hold on, she enjoys a ride on Sarah's lap nearly every day....
When we get Sarah up and into her wheelchair, Hope waits for her opportunity to climb up on Sarah's lap, turns around and pulls Sarah's hands around her tummy and holds onto the armrests while we wheel Sarah into the front room...
Then, when Sarah has worn out her welcome with her constant moaning noise and we start to push Sarah back to her room, wherever Hope might be, she yells "I RIDE!!"....and she will come running and climb back up for the trip to the bedroom.
On the few occasions that Hope isn't quick enough to climb up, she will help to push Sarah's wheelchair.

Lately, Hope has become aggravated with Sarah's noise...."STOP, Sarah! Stop making that NOISE!.....PLEEAASE stop!"
I, eventually, have to tell Hope to stop yelling at Sarah!
For the most part, Hope and Sarah get along well...
Hope brings her invisible food.....and Sarah has NO concept of "pretend,"....so, while Hope is demanding that Sarah "eat" her invisible "food," Sarah kinda looks at her like she is crazy!...cuz Sarah KNOWS that there is no food to eat!!
Its rather amusing!! ....definitely entertaining!

So...Hope is away till Sunday....so I thought I would have the chance to write a bunch and earn some serious gold...but today seems to be Numb Thumb Day....
I can't seem to type a five words before my right thumb is numb...making it difficult to spell correctly!
Ugh!
I think I'm gonna do some house cleaning....maybe some vacuuming will wake my thumb up!

I hope your weekend is going well!
Hey! Any new news about mountain lion? There have been a few sightings of his cousins, here....but I haven't seen one, yet!

Happy Saturday!! !

Getting kind of warm in here. 75*

Cap had a neat vid on fb. Showed a dog he was walking. That was a nice, big cage too. It's neat hearing cap speak. #and Sadie

This doogie howser beer ad is driving me batty. #keep playing it

Dagnabbit! Went to get applesauce and it had gone bad. Note to self. Get single serving. I also let bag of cut carrots go bad. Wasn't able to cook in the heat. They played the doogie ad again! I hate wasting food.

Don't know about our weather here anymore, izzy. Usually summer is hot and it stays like this up to November. These odd cloudyish days are unusual, but welcome. Nothing more about monsciour ugly. Just that he's headed back our way.

That's nice Sarah and hope get along, for the most part. My aunt was a home nurse and had a wheelchair at home. Nothing more intriguing for small dazz than to want to play on it. #wheel syndrome #it's weal

Mr x hung out for 5 hrs with hippy guy. Went looking for their avocado trees around town. Mr x talked to a neighbor who turned out to be a teacher who had taught with Mr xs uncle.

If it's Sunday, it must be wash day. Started lil before noon. Hippy guy showed up unexpectedly. He's only supposed to come once a week. Mr x ran off to ride with him. My heads distracted. Bouncing all over the net. Tomorrow the whole shebang starts over. Gf hasn't em in few days. I've got 3 ems waiting for her. Her em overflows and bounces back mine. I'm hungry. Just did spin bike. I'm craving something. Chocolate cake? I don't do that till weight stabilizes. Maybe ill go chomp on some peppers. I'd rather have slice of pizza.

Back to the future. Yup, Monday beckons. Hello Monday. #nice tie. I'm surprised how fast babies grow. Seems David Beckham's daughter was just born. Now she's 4. I learned about child development from celebrity rags. I'd notice how soon they'd be walking.

Been tooling around with all my devices. Phones, kindle. I have lots of WiFi stuff. Some disconnected phones. Seeing if I can use them. I especially like the notepad feature. I love venting lattes on them.

Do others have friends that come over? I used to see tv shows where pals were always popping by. That doesn't happen here. I mean, hippy guy does come over but he waits with his bike outside for Mr x. And Mr x, being a guy, is ready in 5. I, being a fussy gal, is also ready in 5...5 hrs.

Well, got some ems to wrap and send by parcel post.

Have a good one!

I like those adult beverage ads with Patrick Stewart. In this latest ad, he is told that he has been fired by some off camera voice. Immediately angered by this news, he retorts in his English accent with, "How dare you!"

The indignation in his voice is quite amusing to me.

No, I have not. The closest I have seen Patrick Stewart in something Chistmasy is an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Or maybe it was the movie. I can't recall.

Anyhow, Patrick Stewart's character, Captain Jean-Luc Picard, is in the Nexus and is enjoying a text book perfect Christmas at home. The setting is opulent and immaculate. All family members are wearing their Sunday best and are very well mannered. It is the most structured family Christmas ever assembled.

Watching this scene, the viewer gets the impression that the world that these people live has been perfect throughout the annals of history. No wars. No crime. No poverty. No actors being unnecessarily fired. Heaven as Earth.

So yeah, that's the closest thing I've seen to A Christmas Carol.

Nope. Haven't seen Canterville Ghost, either. Now, the closest I've seen Canterville Ghost is during an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation when Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Dr. Crusher return to Picard's ready room after a night of downing Jager Bombers at the Enterprise's bar and begin to... ok, that never happened. I just made that up. My apologies.

You haven't seen Star Trek: Next Generation? You poor, deprived soul. I insist that you fill this gaping chasm in your entertainment life forthwith! "Make it so, number one."

I am in Cheyenne, Wyoming right now and I made the most of it by dining at Poor Richard's. Images of Benjamin Franklin adorn this fine restaurant throughout its four walls. Or at least that I know of. Haven't checked the kitchen yet. But I would like to.

This dining establishment is named for one of Benjamin Franklin's publications called Poor Richard's Almanack circa 1739.

For my dinner I had the buffalo sirloin which came with a baked potato and veggies. I also had one of my infamous five thousand calorie salads along with the entree. It was excellent.

During a prior visit, I had a blueberry cheesecake for dessert which was top notch. Tonight's dessert was the Oreo cheesecake as the blueberry cheesecake was unavailable. Bummer. But the Oreo cheesecake was certainly no disappointment.

I really enjoy the way Poor Richard's offers their dessert menu. It isn't a menu at all, but rather the waiter or waitress brings out all available desserts on a platter for you to select. After telling the waiter what you want, he then vanishes into the kitchen and in two minutes brings out your mouth-watering dessert selection on a fancy plate that has been drizzled with lines of chocolate. I like that method.

I just got back from a long, soulful walk and bought some grapes to snack on. Delicious!
