Meanwhile, on to cabbages &captains.
I'm fairy sure that greed will b the death of our nation.
Elitism &greed go hand in hand.
Every major empire we know of failed from greed, elitism, corruption in high places.
The US is no different.

EXACTLY. And if it's not harming anyone, it can't be wrong.
I think countries are gonna come down bc of social constructivism and people who go by their irrational feelings instead of logic to judge morality. Corruption in high places, yeah- people will try to take everything for themselves instead of trying to make the world last. And everyone will die out. bc we're at the top of the food chain, we just have to kill ourselves

When does it become others' business is if it's wrong, which is when someone's getting hurt. But if the relationship is voluntary on both sides it's nobody's business.
I disagree wholeheartedly with you about which seemingly does not concern me. But first, let me point out that the bible does teach that homosexuality and other immortality is wrong: 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

About which does not seemingly concern me to you I say this: We all live in a collective here on earth. What one man does can profoundly impact another. It shouldn't concern me if someone drinks too much, but when that person decides to drive while drunk then do we all not have a problem with that man's drinking?

I don't have any hatred towards homosexuals myself, but I certainly disagree with the homosexual lifestyle being thrown at my face and it certainly is. One example of this are gay parades. To me, this is nothing more than a vulgar display of mockery toward heterosexuality. How is it necessary that people don ridiculous apparel and flaunt their sexuality to all who view them? We don't see heterosexual parades of people doing things that gays do on those parade floats.

Let's not forget voting. There has been a flurry of laws passed in recent years that are favorable towards gays. This only promotes behavior which the bibles teaches as being a sin. So this is how I believe that what two people do voluntarily affects me and everyone else.

So I guess if I posted a gif from Coriolanus where the two leading men share a kiss, that would offend you?

I'm not mocking you or anything, I just don't believe that two people who love each other and want to spend their lives together really has no effect on the people outside of the relationship. Love is love and regardless of what the bible says, I simply cannot understand how love could be evil or a sin.

Don't like gay pride parades? Don't attend! They aren't meant to mock heterosexual people, they are made for the minority of gays and lesbians to come together and celebrate their triumphs through years of being executed, being forced into horrendous "treatments" and experiments, and years of bullying and persecution because if their sexuality. It's a celebration of life for them and if they so choose to dress in skimpy outfits and run around in bright, rainbow colors, I can't see why that should effect anyone who doesn't attend.

That's my opinion though.

Hi cappy! Yes, we have a washer, but its California s drought. We're basically not allowed to water lawn anymore. So I wait for the rinse water from washer and pour it into small wastebasket and go back n forth dumping it on the lawn and flowers. I count it as my exercise for the day!

You seem to be more concerned with condemnation that may come from me. Don't be. I can't see you. I can't touch you. I don't know even who or where you are. All I can say is that the bible, which is God's word, states that homosexuality is a sin and that sin is what God wants us to flee from.

There is no biblical teaching that allows Christians or any others to become self-righteous and to persecute those perceived as sinners. Jesus says in Matthew 7:1-2 "Judge not, that you not be judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you."

So whomever persecutes homosexuals in the manner that you have described has done so contrary to the word of God.

I know a homosexual man who is shunned by his Christian mother due to his homosexuality. It is plain as day to know that he is hurt by this when he speaks of it and this has pained him for many years. But I believe this is wrong.
1 Timothy 5:8 says that, "But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."

My goal here is not condemnation, but rather to hate the sin, but love the sinner for we are all but sinners.

Hi Dazz. I hope that your week is going better than mine. It's been a trying week here with Welfare Express. Heavy rain in southern California has caused mudslides blocking I-5 and highway 58 to Bakersfield. This caused me to take 395 north to 50 and then west to Sacramento to even get to I-5. That's at least a hundred miles out of route. Before I did this I thought I would try taking 120 through Yosemite national park to 99, but 120 is closed to commercial traffic. U turn and back north on 395 again I went.

My next attempt to get to 99 would be to take 120. Big mistake. Tractor trailers are not advised on 120 and rightly so, but still I tried. I encountered 26% grades along that road and just couldn't climb those steep grades as the road was slick with rain. I got stuck twice and it took several attempts going back far enough to get a running shot at going up the grade successfully.

The first time I got stuck took me ten minutes to go again. I kept losing traction and the truck would fall back and then I would make another run for it. I made it up this steep grade only to encounter another steep grade at the end of a hairpin turn. It probably took 30 minutes of falling back and going forward again before I was able to get my rig up this steep grade.

I was very nervous, but I decided to go forward anyhow. My confidence was boosted because the road leveled out for about a mile. But my luck ran out when I again attempted to climb another steep and slippery slope. Even though I had a good running start it just wasn't enough and I fell back downward once more. I decided at that point that this particular slope was going to prove to be too steep for too long to climb and so I backed down to a spot where I could make a U-turn and headed back to 395.

I could have done it, but the roads were just too slick and I knew it would be foolhardy to attempt further travel. Upon entering 120, I saw a small Marine Corps base that was a mountain warfare training facility. I didn't see any personnel on base and wondered where they might be. Turns out these Marine's were just a couple miles away alongside the road in bivouac. They had tents set up and there were a few vehicles at the site, too. Hearty souls they are to be out camping on rocks in the rain.

My attempts going uphill and then having to brake suddenly to prevent sliding too far back caused my load of dog food to shift to the rear of my trailer thus causing my tractor trailer to be overweight in the rear. I didn't realize this until I hit the weigh station south of Redding, California. So I am stuck at this weigh station until the load can be readjusted Monday morning. But I met Jack, who is another driver for a better company, and we talked shop for eight hours. Jack's trailer was also heavy in the rear and must have a pallet removed for his trailer to be weight compliant again.

Dang! I have typed a lot. Time to zzzzzzzz.

OK guys, enough.
Mr wrong, yes. The Bible condemns homosexuality as a stoning offense. Along with adultery, shaving a man's face, cutting a woman's hair, disobedience of parents.... U get the drift.
As Christians we follow Jesus. He told us to judge not.
Now, Tom. U either believe the Bible, or u don't. But Jesus told us to tell people, u. About him. That he died&ride again for u. He did in join3:16 god so loved Tom that he sent his only begotten son so that if Tom believe on him then Tom shall not perish but have ever lasting life.
Tom, wrong has been trying to tell u that Jesus loves u& wants u to call on him for mercy. Just pray to Jesus for mercy he'll hear u. Amen

Yes, under the mosaic (Old Testament) law. Sabbath breaking was also a stoning offense.
Jesus came into our world born of woman& lived one who life as a man.
He paid our way back into grace cause we aren't able to do it ourselves.
Jesus also said judge not lest u b judged& b judged by your own measure.
So those who judge by the law will b judged by the law.
Remember, Jesus said let him who is without sin cast the 1st stone.

That I do not know. I picture Dazz with a Hello Kitty cup scooping again and again water from her washer and into a larger Hello Kitty bucket which she then slavishly hauls to her parched lawn.

I suspect also that she has broken a nail whilst performing this arduous task like that of a stoic Patrician and thus has not reported this injury to us.

Greetings, Salutations and Hello!
I, obviously, did not get back on the other day...
As I see what Hope learns from the videos that she chooses to watch, it is not worth the argument for me to try to use the IPad during her waking hours.
Right now, her fetish is for Peppa Pig....a cute cartoon about a pig family and what family life is about....
She has recently obtained Sarah's collection of stuffed pig toys, so Hope takes those toys and pretends her own versions of Peppa Pig episodes.
It is exquisitely entertaining to watch her role play with her "friends!"
(She still hasn't had her 3rd birthday yet, btw!)
She also loves the Surprise Eggs videos and the Disney Collector....and has a bunch of plastic eggs and puts items inside (she can get those ****ing eggs closed 100 times better than MY old hands can!!) and repeatedly asks me "What's inside?!?"
She is learning letter sounds and simple math...all on her own!
I show her what is available to her...and SHE usually shows ME stuff that I didn't see or know!
She is the smartest, sweetest, most helpful and caring almost-3-year-old child I have ever been in the presence of!...and I am loving every minute I get with her!!
(Having had Sarah stuck at 18 months for 32 years had become somewhat depressing....but having Hope show me the "other side of the spectrum" of learning and development has been ever so gratifying!!)

I guess I'm kinda fortunate to have been unable to participate on Menewsha during the above back-and-forth about the bible...
Y'all know that I am a Respectful Unbeliever...I have had a lifetime of reasons to believe what I believe...though I respectfully honor others' right and reasons for believing what they do....
Given the right mood and availability to type for a loooonnnggg time, I might have given a few of my own points of view about the bible......but, neither the mood is right, nor can I type for much longer on my phone before I run the risk of all the above typing suddenly vanishing,...so I will leave that topic for another time.

I do appreciate that my Christian friends don't preach to me and accept me as I am, though!
I really do love you guys!

So...Dazzy! Why not take the drain hose out of the drain and attach a hose, by means of a hose clamp, and let the washer pump the rinse water out that hose and onto the lawn?
You could loosen said hose clamp and remove the hose and let the wash water go down the house drain...then pull the drain hose out and attach long hose for rinse cycle.
Or....instead of letting the rinse water go down the drain, pull out the hose and let the washer pump the water into buckets?
I just can't imagine scooping the water out by hand!!
I hope my suggestions can help you out some....so that you can possibly have more time to enjoy your weekends!

Well....I feel blessed to have had time to write this much!
I almost feel like writing more will be a temptation to fate! Lol!

Oh!...before I go!...our weekly weather forecast has already suggested that we may see snow on Thursday!
The forecast changes often....so it will remain to be seen,....but even the SUGGESTION of snow is not on the top of my "Favorites" list!
(We still have no running car of our own! *sigh*)

I hope everybody's week is going well!
I'm very happy to hear that you are feeling better, Capt.....err....uh....Cheshire! Lol!
I hope that the feel better lasts a long time this time!

Mr. Wrong, I was fascinated by your tale about the slippery slope!!
Well written and kept me at the edge of my virtual seat!
How SCARY for you!! I am happy that all you lost was some traction and then some time....
Things could have gone much differently....and not in a GOOD way!
Kudos to your skills, my friend!!
Stay safe out there!

Where we eating at this week, Dazz?

Okay....I really must go now....Laterz, folks! !

Thanks Inzaned One for your appreciation of my telling the tale of the treacherous treading. But wait! There's more. While I was braking on these slippery slopes, the load of pet food shifted and caused my trailer to become too heavy in the rear. I hadn't considered that my load may have shifted until I entered a weigh station and was told to weigh on the static scale. This is the scale where a truck is weighed axle by axle while stopped.

My trailer ended up being overweight in the rear by over four thousand pounds. I was issued an overweight ticket and was disallowed any further travel until my trailer could be made weight compliant. I let dispatch know of my misfortune and was told nothing could be done until morning. At six am I called in and alerted breakdown of my little tropical situation and they said they would hire a lumper service and have another Welfare Express truck come in with an empty trailer for the excess product. I waited all day and that did not happen. My imagination runs wild thinking of the things upper management might be doing instead of helping me so that our customers might be better serviced.

Holy cow! It's late again. Me finish later. Ciao ciao.

Who's going to Italy? Not me. Not with the crumbs this company calls wages.

The sad saga continues with my load even after delivering most of it to the consignee. A lot of the load was refused and I am expected to inventory every box and bag in the trailer. Ha!

I did try, though. I spent over two hours removing bags and boxes from the mountainous heap that has become the load from hell and organizing them somewhat. The only good that has come of this situation is that I was able to give away seven bags of torn open dog food. This guy came along to was I was parked and told me that he could smell the dog food from a distance. He told me he didn't have any money, but asked me if I would give away some dog food. I told him he didn't need money to take the dog food, but rather he needed a pick up truck. Then he told me he did. I poked my head outside the trailer and saw a beat up pick up truck with a water heater in the back. Said he was going to make a wood stove from it. Don't ask me how. Then I saw his partner and I began handing them both the torn bags of dog food.

They both shook my hand and thanked me for the torn bags of dog food and left. I was glad they took so much because that leaves me with less crap to deal with later.

I suppose I'll be back in the trailer tomorrow in an attempt to finish this monumental task. I still don't know what will become of the undamaged product that remains in the trailer.

I forgot to announce that amidst this debacle, I have lined up a better job for myself and may even have some other drivers come along, too. The reason I haven't gone mad during this catastrophe is that I know that this ship of fools is going to run aground without me on board. Thank you, Jesus.
