Recolor.me is a really cute site...reminiscent of mobamingle in avi design...
The structure is really simple...
There are mini games that help you collect "bits" to buy items for your avi.
You get 5 bits per post, no matter how long or short the post...but spamming is not allowed...
There is active staff.
I accessed the site with my smartphone, though I did not attempt to participate as I know that my phone's memory is about shot and I would be only tempting fate if I were to attempt to post or play...but i was greeted with a different format than what greets me on the iPad...so I am assuming that it is a mobile site.
I like it because it has a.....less...."sophisticated (?)" air to it....for lack of a better description.
Maybe "formal" is a better word?
I hope that Dazzy and Mr. Wrong come and check it out, too!
I, somehow, got a moment to spend on the iPad...Hope chose to take a nap after having melted down and cried a lot...
Sarah had many bowls of cereal with milk, after having had a nice bath and SHE chose to take a nap...in her chair, till I realized it and laid her down...
The BF came home with groceries, declaring that he needed to leave again...so I admitted my disappointment that his wifi wouldn't be available while I had a moment to be on the iPad...so, he chose to leave me his phone to provide the hotspot...
I can reach him by texting the guy he will be with...if I need to...which I DID have to, because there was confusion about who was supposed to meet who, where...
I hope they all got connected 'n stuff...
....But, I'm connected and going to use my time as efficiently as possible before Hope wakes and relaizes that her iPad has a signal! Lol!
The BF is headed to meet his coworker....hmmm "that different guy"...(cuz his name is the same as the Dog Guy's name, so, Hope calls him "Different (insert name here)"...) ...because Different Guy is going to rent the Indian's house...the one the Indian was living in when we were squatting on his property in the mobile home...
The Indian has been living with a lady...she has 2 kids, 1 autistic...the other hasn't been diagnosed, yet, but seems to be having some behavior difficulties....
But, ANYWAY...the Different Guy and the BF are headed to meet with the Indian to discuss rental agreements and such...
I would have loved to rent the place...back when the Indian was living in it!
But...he moved out and let his younger brother, and his family, rent it....well...their MOTHER made the mortgage payments either way!....but...the brother's wife is a slob...like, totally a SLOB....and they never cleaned the place while they lived there!
There were piles of animal (and possibly NOT animal) feces on the floor...trash was piled up...And THEY have a special needs CHILD!
(I didn't know about all this until they had moved out...leaving the place a disgusting mess!)
We aren't telling the Different Guy about the condition that the family member left it in...only that the place needs some work and that he can probably work some rent off doing repairs...that he could get a couple roommates...and that the Indian had been growing weed, legally, in the basement, so, if he wanted to do that, it would be okay...
I hope it all works out...
The Different Guy is living with his parents...he is young and ready to move out on his own...
I hope it works out for him!
He's a really nice guy....the BF trusts him to drive the plow truck when he can't be up on the mountain...and the guy wants to help the BF do just about anything...from working on cars to......well,....mostly, they work on cars! Lol!
Hope spent 4 days and nights with her parents...
She had a good time and says she "never even cried ONCE!" Lol!
(I, somehow, doubt that...but, maaaayyybee....)
She returned yesterday afternoon...was asleep from the car...acknowledged that she saw me, then went back to sleep for an extended nap!
She was pleasant and happy to be home...I made her some early dinner because the BF, Sarah and I eat much later than Hope's parents do...she ate a lot of her food before talking Grammpa out of part of his heated frozen chimichanga....
Then, she requested a plate of dinner when it was ready...but, she only ate a couple of bites...
I hadn't had high hopes of her eating again, anyway....
BF went to bed...Sarah finished her dinner and got sleepy...
I moved Sarah to her room...then went to brush Hope's teeth...
Hope got her jammies on while I brushed Sarah's teeth...
When I peeked in on Hope, after brushing Sarah's teeth...Hope was laying all funny...over the top of a bunch of stuffed animals...head down on the bed...
I wasn't convinced that she was asleep...so SOON!...in that position...so, I went about changing Sarah's clothes and lifting her from her wheelchair to her bed...giving her her meds, kisses and tucking her in....and "blowing out" the light...
When I looked in on Hope, again, she hadn't moved!
She went to sleep that fast!
I stayed up for a little while...and found myself falling asleep in the recliner...
I repositioned Hope and went to bed...
And we both slept till 10:30am!
Hope had a good morning...but she was disappointed that I wasn't planning to give her a bath...that it was Sarah's turn!
She finally came to terms with it by "HELPING" with Sarah's bath....which went really well, actually...
Then, I got Sarah out, dry, dressed and back into her chair...and was intending on taking her into her bedroom, where I had set the heater to run and make the room warm...
Hope got the impression that Sarah was being punished and banishe to her room and demanded I take Sarah to the living room!
I refused and tried to explain that Sarah needed to get warm and it was warmer in her bedroom...
Hope STOOD IN MY WAY and prevented me from pushing Sarah into her room!
I picked Hope up and put her on her own bed and rushed to push Sarah through the doorway...and Hope SCREAMED like I had KILLED her...
I got Sarah into her room...and Hope cried and cried and cried...
Then, as I was getting Sarah cereal, Hope claimed that she needed to eat something...
I was in the middle of getting her a bowl of leftover stew when she stated "I not gonna eat that!"....so I dumped the bowl out, back into the storage container...and put it back into the fridge...rather abruptly, I might add...
She started crying all over again!
NOW she wanted "to EAT that!" and begged for me to give her some...promising to eat it ALL!
*sigh*
I got her a bowl and heated it up...and she sat and ate most of it before asking me to...feed her, even though she "isn't a baby!" Lol!
After she ate and had calmed down substantially, I explain, again, that Sarah was not in trouble and that when Sarah was dry and warm that she could come to the less warm living room...
I told her that I was disappointed that she stood in my way like she did...and she admitted to having KICKED me!
I was so frustrated and trying to get Sarah warm, I hadn't even noticed that Hope had KICKED me!
She told me she was "sorry I do that and I not gonna do that again!"
Then, she complained of a "stomach ache," and I suggested that she rest for a while...
She requested that I carry her to her bed, so I did...like I have so many times and she bounces right back up to run around the house like a banshee!...then I went to lay Sarah down, since she was napping while sitting up.
When I finished with Sarah, I peeked in on Hope...and she, again, had not moved a muscle and had fallen asleep....THAT FAST!
Now...I have a quiet house...a few minutes to play on the iPad...a chance to catch my breath before Hope wakes and is on the go go go, again!
The day back after an extended stay with her parents always seems to be extra trying for both Hope and me!
I think I'm going to go play some mind strengthening mini games on recolor.me...
I hope everybody is having a pleasant week!
