Headline news of the future: The NBA announced today that it will increase the number of regular season games to122 and begin a fiftteen game playoff system beginning in 2020 effectively making professional basketball non-stop year round with the season ending on October 23rd and beginning again on the traditional date of October 27th.
When NBA commisioner Adam Silver was asked about resting players, he was quoted as saying, "They can rest when they're dead. That's what retirement is for. With as much money as we pay these guys, they can rest on the planes during flights to the next game."
Commisioner Silver had this to say about his own salary: "Who can really scrape by on $23 million per year?"
In response to the NBA expanding its season, the NFL is rumored to be considering having a three game Super Bowl best of three series. 1970s rock icon Meatloaf tweeted, "It won't matter if your favorite team loses one game. Because two out of three ain't bad."

In other unexciting news today, I-44 in Missouri was closed due to flooding of the Piney River. I was part of the traffic that was detoured north on 5 to 54. Now sleeping in Camdenton.
Tomorrow, I'll drive through Jefferson City and St. Louis. I like seeing the Arch when passing through St. Louis.
Also, Paris, France and Las Vegas, Nevada are cities both known as the City of Lights. Less known is that St. Louis, Missouri is quite the site to see when driving through at night. True story.
---------- Post added 04-30-2017 at 10:29 PM ----------
I believe the flooding in Missouri might be part of that weather system that dumped snow in the mountains east of Albuquerque, New Mexico and the pan handle of Texas. Simply a massive storm front.

I think that same storm left over 2 feet of snow in the Conifer area of Colorado...there was about 6 inches in the back yard in Denver but not any to speak of on the local roads...but US Highway 285 west of Denver was treacherous from lack of being plowed...I guess I-70 and I-25 are the only deserving highways when it comes to wintertime maintenance!
At least you saw some different scenery than you expected to see, due to flooding...Right?
Oh...by the way...I think Denver had an 80 degree day for Cinco de Mayo...and Saturday is expected to be even warmer.
If SNOWED a week ago!
Gotta love Colorado weather!

Yes, I did get to see some new scenery. I saw a winding, narrow country back road up to Missouri 54 then onto I-70.
---------- Post added 05-08-2017 at 09:54 PM ----------
In my political ponderings, I wonder how many close associates of Hillary Clinton would have perished in odd accidents had she become president. Hmmmm.
---------- Post added 05-08-2017 at 10:10 PM ----------
In still more political ponderings, why aren't there women's rights marches aimed at protesting the NFL's coddling of players who assault women?

Comey's firing was overdue. Quickly becoming eccentric. Too comfortable in his position. Overstepping his bounds with the DOJ. And corrupt. He was literally a threat to democracy. The "Russian investigation" is a liberal media fantasy. Trump did the right thing.

That's the whole deal. There is no "Russian investigation". Trump asked Comey directly if there was one and Comey answered with "No."
So the only "Russian investigation" that exists is in the imagination of the wacked out and biased media who lie to the American people at every turn.
---------- Post added 05-13-2017 at 09:08 PM ----------
The liberal media believes so desperately that Russia interfered with the U.S. elections because they can't stand Trump and cannot believe Hillary lost even though they, the almighty liberal media, backed her 100%. The liberal media refuses to accept that enough people actually voted against their precious candidate and put Trump in the Whitehouse. So it must be that since Trump has had dealings with Russia as a private citizen, that Trump was able to convince the Russians to interfere with our elections and get him elected.
---------- Post added 05-13-2017 at 09:25 PM ----------
So ever since Trump took office, the liberal media has been foaming at the mouth and demanding an investigation even though none of their irresponsible allegations have any grounds whatsoever. All the liberal media can do is lie, lie, lie, and lie they have.
I have to ask you, do you really want to trust a media that won't say a word about all the close associates of Mrs. Clinton that have died under mysterious circumstances? This isn't some wacky conspiracy theory. People close to the Clintons have died. How many people do you know that have had close associates to them die under mysterious circumstances or in accidents? Most likely none. One maybe. Well, the Clinton's have had thirty plus close associates go the way of the Dodo bird. Does the media ever mention this fact? No. What if Trump had a close associate die under mysterious circumstances? One can only imagine.

Why don't u believe the media re: trump but eat it up on Clinton? Why did the 'liberal ' Media just murder Clinton on that e mail thing. U can't have it both ways. Swear they're telling the truth when it suits u, but call the liberal liars when it don't. Ok. I'm out on this subject.

Tonight Fox News had some Democrat Senator on Chris Wallace's show who stated that the position of the FBI director had never been politicized before. I laughed immediately when I heard this because it's such an obvious lie and falsehood. Chris Wallace didn't bother challenging this lie for whatever reason, but it didn't slip by me.
How do I know what was stated by this senator was a lie?
It's simple. If you know a little history. It was then president Bill Clinton who fired FBI director William Sessions in 1993. Why else does a president fire FBI director or US Attorney(s) but for political reasons?
Ostensibly, Comey was fired for mishandling Hillary's email scandal. He calls her handling of classified emails as "extremely careless" yet does not issue an indictment. This is as corrupt as it gets. And as much as the media excoriated Mrs. Clinton over her emails, she still received media backing and the media even admitted to doing just that.
Just because a news channel can trot out some seemingly important and smart person to concur with the talking points of the day and run their fancy graphics does not make them tellers of the truth.
