Turning around to look at Evy, the first thing he noticed was the perfume. The smell almost seemed to smack him in the face and immediately brought back memories of being on Asgard and being with his mother, who often wore a similar fragrance. He stared at her for a few moments, but, he wasn't really seeing Evy, he was seeing Frigga. Her kind smile, her arms outstretched towards Loki, waiting for him to run to her and embrace her.

Loki blinked and the image was gone. He then noticed Evy's make up. She looked much better now than she had in a while. It was a good look for her, Loki decided. He walked to Evy and snatched her bag from her as soon as she'd finished placing her jacket inside. Even after he had Evy's bag, he continued to approach her, staring deeply into her eyes. He stared for a moment, trying to read her. Then, he snorted.

"There is still so much you can tell me about yourself." He gave a wicked smile. "Would it be easier for you, if I asked you questions to get you started?" As he was talking he turned in his heels and walked away from Evy, reaching into her bag and pulling out one of the muffins. He studied it for a moment before peeling away the wrapper and slowly taking a bite of the muffin. He wasn't actually hungry, he just wanted to tease Evy.

"Do you always adorn your face with foundation and kohl?" He asked, turning his head to gesture to her make up. He was just curious. His mother also made her face more beautiful with make up often, especially for feasts and council meetings. The memories of Asgard came flooding in with a vengeance and made Loki feel very, very uncomfortable. He'd do his best to make Evy uncomfortable as well.

Evy felt uncomfortable under Loki's stare when his eyes had been on her longer than what had been presumably necessary in her opinion. She wrapped her arms around her and wriggled her left heel a bit, now feeling uncomfortable around him once more. Why'd have to always push to have this effect on people? Had he been done wrong so often that he was forcibly this way? He didn't have to pull the bag from her grasp so roughly. But since she knew it was Loki, she wasn't surprised, didn't even jump at the random roughness. All she could do was stare down at the dirt-covered worn carpet of the lobby and shrug.

"Ask away. It'll be quicker." And easier. But she wasn't interested in easy. The quicker she was away from Loki, the quicker she could go back to doing her job and go about her business.

She eyed the muffin Loki bit into. Instead of grimacing from her empty stomach, she grinned wryly at him. It wouldn't move her or bother her. Yes, she was hungry, but little to his knowledge, she had only woken up so long ago, which allowed her stomach little time to wake up with her and be fully ready to digest food properly. The smell of the packaged muffin hit her nostrils and for a moment, she felt a bit sick, but it soon passed as her stomach began to sync with the smell.

She shook her head, still grinning wryly at him as she took a step away from him for space to breathe. While his closeness hadn't fazed her, she needed to sit down for this. No doubt there was an entire day of interrogations laid out ahead of her.

"I wear makeup because it makes me feel as if I'm in control of myself. Women here on earth can feel secure with the simplest things like makeup. Some wear it to look pretty. And while I do wear more on occasions to look presentable, I wear it daily, as a habit, to feel content."

At Evy's response, Loki gave a thoughtful hmph. He decided that he actually quite liked the taste of the muffin he was eating and he took another slow bite, chewing curiously as he took a seat in front of Evy. He paused for a moment as he swallowed and before taking another bite, he began his barrage of questions,

"How long have you studied methodology? What mission has been your most successful?" He paused, listening to his question over in his mind, thinking maybe he should reword it. He decided against it, the question was asked to the best of his ability, it would be up to Evy to interpret it as she wanted.

He set the muffin down on the ground, making sure the wrapping protected it from becoming contaminated from the dust and the dirt on the floor of the opera house lobby. He'd spend another few minutes talking to Evy and once he was satisfied with her responses, he'd feed her and they'd be on their way. He'd continue to search for his scepter, it was his only way to become something while he was trapped on Midgard. He had no purpose otherwise, and due to his Jotun blood, he had no way of integrating into Midgardian society. Even if he did, he'd refuse to anyway.

"Do you ever miss your parents?" He knew this would probably be a sore topic for her. Still, he wanted to know.

Bringing up a leg to hug to her chest, Evy hugged it and picked at a small rip in the knee of her cargo pants. "For about ten years now. Back when I was in school for training to be an agent, we were allowed some time on the weekends to do stuff on our own free time. Methodology happened to be an accident for me. I saw all the other kids with their pyrotechnics and their other specialties that they had been interested in, and I hadn't anything. So I found something, and I've stuck with it ever since. I'm no Tony Stark, but I know I'm at least decent with it. I mean, ever since I had been officially hired to be a SHIELD agent, I hadn't gotten any extra time to do special studying."

She leaned her head back against the bench, looking up at the torn ceiling and broken lights. "My first mission had been my most successful, actually. We had a man doing illegal experiments on human beings with gamma radiation. He had managed to kill a few people before we even found out about him and I had been sent in as a 'volunteer' to his experiments to scope him out. He turned out to be some nut job who didn't know how to fight. A swift kick and a punch and he was defeated. Within four hours I had been sent in, he had been sent to prison. I had always been good with blending in and pretending to be someone I'm not for people like him," she answered honestly, soon sitting her head back up to look at Loki for a moment, eyeing the muffin he was eating. Hey, if he enjoyed it, good for him for enjoying midgardian food.

The next question had been a sore topic for Evy. She held her breath, her lips smoothing into a thin line as she stared down at her rip. She needed enough strength to even answer it so her voice wouldn't become shaky or worse, she wouldn't start crying in front of the selfish god.

"I only miss them when I allow myself to think of them. Kinda like selective hearing, only it's selective remembering to me," she told him softly. She swallowed slowly and thickly, feeling as if her throat had closed up on itself with her feelings for a moment, because when she did remember them, it wasn't a pretty feeling. It felt as if a cold, gray cloud was now hovering over her, blocking out the beautiful morning sunlight.

Loki carefully studied her in her responses. Her first mission sounded interesting, he'd have to remind himself to pick her brain about that later. For now, he wanted to know more about her parents. He took extra notice of how her demeanor seemed to change when she talked about her parents.

"Were you aware of what kind of work your parents did? Were they often in danger? Were they reckless?" He stopped himself there, he didn't want to humiliate her, at least, not at this moment, anyway. If she cried, he wouldn't make her feel bad about it. He found he was asking his questions quickly, probably giving her no time to even think of a response before he shot out the next question.

He averted his gaze once more, looking at the muffin he'd partially eaten. Honestly, it wasn't bad food as he'd expected. Still, that didn't mean he was hungry enough to finish eating it. He stretched a little then decided to pick up the muffin, re-wrap the wrapper and place it back in Evy's bag.

"How old are you now?" He asked, absent-mindedly. He was trying to gauge how long it had been since she'd lost her family. Maybe she could understand him, then, understand his madness...

Evy blinked at Loki, consumed by the mindless questions. Was this man so oblivious to the things that go on here on earth? It shocked her and she had to take a moment to form a coherent response for him. Her eyes weren't focused on him as she blinked profusely, her lips parted as if she were trying to say something.

When her eyes finally focuses on the selfish Asgardian, she tilted her head to the side, suddenly looking offended.

"I don't know how it is for your kind on Asgard or whatever, but here on earth, people make mistakes and accidents happen," she started as she got up partially and moved towards Loki on her knees as she pointed at him with an accusitory index finger. "My parents and I were heading home from a movie night, a family gathering. And some drunk guy runs a red light and crashes into our car and forces us off of the bridge we were on and into the lake. Now that's a lot for a four year old to remember..."

There was inches of space between the two and Evy realized her stance, curling her index finger into a fist as she lowered her hand to her side, still on her knees facing Loki. "Accidents happen," she repeated before she sat back onto her legs, away from Loki as she looked away from him and avoided eye contact. "And my adoptive mother died of cancer no super power within SHIELD could have prevented."

"And I'm twenty five. I'll be twenty six in September," she grumbled to him as she crossed her arms back over her chest and felt a tear escape.

Loki usually loved the thought of pushing Evy's buttons, but today, it didn't feel good to see Evy cry. He didn't feel guilty for what he did, but he didn't feel that overwhelming pleasure that he usually felt when he teased other people or played tricks on them. No, he just felt a little empty. He stared at Evy, watching as the tear rolled down the side of her cheek.

"We do not have to continue." He said quietly and he opened Evy's bag, dug through it for a few seconds and pulled out a granola bar. Instead of handing it to her, he placed it on the floor in front her her and pushed it towards her slowly. He then slowly brought himself to his feet and walked away from Evy, however, he did not leave her field of sight.

He then peered over his shoulder, making sure Evy couldn't see her bag that he held tightly in front of his chest. Considering his back was turned to her, he just assumed she'd not see it and he used his magic to make the bag disappear into thin air. He'd summon it back once he needed it, of course. For now, better to not burden himself with carrying extra, albeit very light, weight.

Once the bag was gone, he turned around to look at Evy and immediately he opened his mouth to bark at her, Hurry, Agent, we do not have much time. But he didn't really feel like yelling at Evy right now. No, perhaps if he could take a different approach. Befriend her maybe, then he'd get what he wanted from her. He couldn't help but feel almost as though she were worthy of being considered an actual friend anyway.

Loki sucked in a breath and let it out slowly through his nose. He'd be patient in waiting for Evy to finish. Once she was done, they'd continue walking, all the while, Loki would search for his scepter.

Evy didn't realize the tear until she saw the change in Loki's demeanor. She held her breath and watched him as he dug into her bag and slowly pushed the bar towards her. She didn't bend down to grab the granola bar until his back was turned to her. Silence hung between the two and Evy let out a slow breath when she ripped the corner and tore the wrapper off of the wrapper. When she began to eat the granola bar did she finally know what to say.

"I'm not some weakling," she told him sternly halfway through the granola bar filled with almonds, dark chocolate, and dried apple pieces. "Keep on with the questions. The sooner I'm free from you and you from me, the sooner I'm sure we'll both be happier. Now. What else do you want to know?" she asked him before she bit angrily into her granola bar.

It wasn't his fault. She didn't have to start getting so offensive, but the moment she saw him take pity in her, did she start to feel anger come from the discomfort she got from knowing she was being held captive. By one of the men she knew who tried to destroy her world. If it hadn't been for the Avengers, she wouldn't have been here -- she knew this from remembering how Rogers had saved her from a tipped over bus, in which she had escaped with a broken arm. She appeared to be the miracle person anymore no matter where she looked.

She closed her eyes and held her tongue, realizing how she had just snapped at him. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap like that," she said before taking the last bite of her bar. "This who capturing thing is kinda irritable, y'know?" she grumbled as she plopped down on the bench after laying her blanket down so she could lay down on top of it and stare up at the damaged ceiling.

"Wait. Where's my bag?" she asked as she sat up, looking around, her eyes landing on Loki as she sighed and tilted her head to the side, realizing. "If you're going to use your magic on stuff. My stuff, please warn me before hand."

Loki didn't really mind that she got a little huffy with him. He completely ignored her when she talked about her bag. Loki didn't care what she had to say... it wasn't her's anymore. She had no belongings. Well, what better opportunity to test where she really was mentally at this point? It was his turn to snap. (Or, at least pretend to.)

"You're not weak, Agent Haron..." Loki mumbled loud enough that Evy could hear. He meant that, crying didn't make one weak. Still, he was curious about Evy. How would she react if he said...?

"Just pathetic." He almost felt the words die on his tongue before they slipped from his mouth... Though, slip wasn't really what they did. It was closer to him pushing the words over. After those two words fell from his tongue, the poker face became much easier and the words flew with ease. "Tragedy effects all of you, haunts every hour of everyday on this damned realm and yet you still waste away your love on parents you never knew."

He turned to face her, feeling his bravado returning and his fiery will to come out on top settling in. "It's pathetic, Agent!" He approached her, getting very close to her face and staring directly into her eyes. "You still believe that SHIELD is going to come save you? Please... They only protect their own skin. You are nothing to them." He grabbed Evy's chin and pulled her face to look up at his.

"Think about whose side you're on, Agent... Mine. Or theirs. They who had the chance to save you and chose against it. They who took you from your life and made you into a killer, an agent, they who seek to cover the world in darkness and chaos." He roughly shoved her as he let go of her chin. "Life can be decent for you, Agent Haron, under my rule. This entire realm would only benefit from it."

Loki's words felt like a punch to the gut. And yeah, people say usually words feel like a slap to the face, but his was much more worse. She felt herself, shriveling up and curling up inwardly as her shoulders slightly raised and she tightened her arms around herself, trying her best to avoid eye contact and to hold herself together. But the way he forced her to look up at him felt as if ice had encased her. Her eyes sparkled with hatred and disgust as she looked back at him.

Evy had known countless of people let go from SHIELD because they had simply been called a "hazard" or "worthless to the company". Her jaw visibly tightened, holding her breath as she slowly began to shake her head. Only when he pushed her away from him physically did she speak out for herself.

Offended or not, he really knew how to pinch the nerve, and because of that, she slapped him. The lobby's crumbling walls echoed with the harsh crack of her palm momentarily colliding with his cheek.

"See that's another place where you're wrong, Loki. I am not a killer. They turned me into a fighter. A savior. I care about this planet as much as anyone else at SHIELD!" She moved away from him and began pacing, trying to keep her anger to a minimum. The last thing she wanted to do was to slap him...over and over again (though that was actually the first thing she wanted to do at the moment).

"See us mortals? We care. We have love to share. And when we don't have anyone in our life currently to share it with, we share it with people from the past, whether dead or not. Life can't be all rainbows and unicorns!" She stopped in front of him, glaring at him with a flushed face and a deep frown. "We get to be haunted. We get to take pity on ourselves and others around us. See, none of us got to be born with gifts like yours, we didn't get to choose to be as emotionless and stone cold like your kind." She turned her back to him and glared up at a shatter clock at the top of the archway that led out of the lobby and to the auditorium. She had met Thor before and never had she felt so inferior before in front of someone with gifts. Loki was just another addition to her feeling the inferior.

By now, her voice had softened. "If you ever plan on taking over a world like this, you need respect and understanding." She finally turned to him again, her face no longer showing disgust, regardless of the anger still there. She was looking at him with an angered pity. "How do you expect anyone to want to be around you, or even live under you, when you have no compassion for them? What made you so cold, Loki?" Her question ended off with a whisper as she took a step closer to him, leaving about a foot of space between them.

It all made sense now. Something had to happen to Loki. Something mentally scarring to make him like this. Even she remembered Thor having some compassion. But...this? What could make someone like Loki the way he is? It felt as if she had been in a haze, unable to understand anything until now, where the haze has receded and now everything just so...clear. Her eyebrows furrowed and she looked deeply into his cold eyes, raising a hand slowly to touch his face, but soon thought against it as she dropped her hand to her side.

The impact of Evy's hand to Loki's face made his head reel to the side and eyes widen in surprise. He could have gotten upset, could have went ballistic on the mortal that dared to strike him. Instead, he only craned his head and looked at Evy with a twisted mix of curiosity and another strange emotion that he couldn't quite place. The slap didn't physically hurt, but it did hurt his pride a little.

What made you so cold...? Those words sounded almost as if Frigga were saying them, and again, Loki's eyes were no longer seeing Evy. Instead he could see Frigga, a sad, tear stained face, begging Loki to change his ways, pleading for Loki to return to the carefree, innocent child he used to be. Loki shook the image from his head and was pleasantly relieved when he could, once again, just see the angry face of Evy staring at him. It was a strangely, pleasant sight. He'd rather see Evy's face and feel annoyed than feel guilty seeing his mother's.

"You're pushing your luck, Agent." He spat, ignoring her question. Truthfully, he did not feel like sharing such information with her. He brushed passed her again and headed towards the exit of the opera house. He stopped a few feet away from where the broken door hung from it's hinges, allowing the daylight to seep into the room. Loki let out a long, tired sigh and turned around to look at Evy. "Gifts?" He snorted. "I'm sure to someone like you, my abilities would appear as gifts. On Asgard, they are but shameful acts of trickery and cowardice."

He wasn't angry, or even annoyed anymore. He was actually a little worried, he didn't want to show vulnerability in front of Evy. She didn't mean much to him and it didn't really matter what she thought of him, but still, he was always weaker than Thor on Asgard, he didn't want any weakness to show through on Midgard. He stopped his thoughts before they could derail and he used his magic to change his appearance again.

"We are leaving, Agent Haron." He stated. He waited for her to follow before he would start to walk again.

Evy didn't realize how hard she had been breathing from the excitement of their little tiny quarrel? Exciting? It shouldn't have been exciting. It should felt felt frustrating and if anything, the perfect torch to lighting her hatred for him more. But at the end of her thoughts, it had still felt exciting nonetheless. Her hand hummed with the previous slap to his face and she looked down at her palm, seeing her skin turn white for a moment before she dropped it back down to her side and looked back up at Loki.

Why didn't he attack her. She struck a god. She struck him. And all she got was a look that made her feel as if he was seeing right past her, like he really wasn't seeing her at all.

She half-expected him to grab her arm and tow her along to the outside world where the bright sunlight made her squint for a moment, her eyes burning a bit as she walked after him.

"You're not going to fight back?" she asked him as she shielded her eyes for a moment when she walked into the ray of sunlight. "I just slapped you!" she stated her eyebrows risen and eyes widened. "And all you're gonna do is just lead me out of the building?" She stepped outside of the building, sucking in a breath of the clean, fresh hair as distant every day traffic jam car horns beeped in groups from the distance from the main street.

"If you think I'm so pointless to SHIELD, then why am I still be held captive by you?" she questioned next. She was pushing her luck, for sure, as he had just said, by asking so many questions. She was never one to ask questions so frequently, but something about being around Loki made her so curious about his actions, about other things as well. Maybe he had a purpose with her second guessing her worth to SHIELD.

Ignoring Evy was easy, all Loki had to do was focus his attention on walking, allowing her words to slip into one ear and slide out of the other. The sidewalk wasn't too busy, just a few people hurriedly walking in the opposite direction, business people, tapping away on cellphones or rushing passed Loki to make it to work on time. He chuckled a little after her last sentence registered in his mind. Ah, the joys of selective hearing.

"While you are pointless to SHIELD, you still hold some value to me." He continued walking, keeping his pace without slowing down. "You are going to find the scepter. As, I cannot trust SHIELD will return it to me once it is found." Loki turned to look over his shoulder at Evy and he gave her a wicked smile, "You're going to find it, or you're going to be hurt. I cannot disappoint with my promise to SHIELD that I'd torture you if it will come to that."

He chuckled again and returned his focus on the street once more. "You are also quite amusing for a mortal." He added. This was true, Evy never seemed to stop amusing Loki with her strange ways. Even now, as she asked her questions, it did nothing but make Loki grin. He'd certainly miss her once it became time to dispose of her, after her usefulness had worn out.

His foot lifted to take another step, but instead he stopped in his tracks, staring ahead and waiting for Evy to catch up. He listened for her,

"Take me to SHIELD's research facility." He demanded. "Now."

"Oh, and you trust me?" she quickly cried out to him, frustrated as she grumbled a few choice words under her breath, not really even caring if he heard her or not. A second day with him and she still was fighting through thick and thin to fully understand this mad man.

She stopped dead in her tracks when she noticed Loki had stopped moving. And boy, what a command from someone like him. She stopped just a foot away from him, crossing her arms over her chest as she glared at him with a heated hate. "And how the hell do you expect us to get into the headquarters without being noticed. That entire place is under high w-" She stopped herself when it dawned on her.

She blinked ahead of Loki, not really staring at anything as if an imaginary light-bulb lit up above her head.

"Unless..." she murmured as she began pacing before Loki, staring at the cracks in the concrete as her curly hair bounced with her quick movements and turns. She raised a hand from where her arms were still crossed, catching her bottom lip between her thumb and index finger as she thought about it.

"There are only a few levels left without high maintenance, and that would be the parking deck and the very middle floor of the main building. I'd say go ahead and transport there but," she started as she stopped and looked over at Loki. "The building has a defense for anyone without authorization, so transportation would be pointless. They have it so that no one. And I mean no one can get through that defense system unless there's someone on the inside or unless the power gets cut, even the generators in that place."

She blinked at him, tilting her head. "I have a plan. And I'm willing to share it with you under one single condition, Loki," she murmured to him softly, seriously.

Loki smirked, "Oh yes. I trust you. I trust that you understand that if you do not find the scepter, your life will be very, very miserable, Agent Haron. You won't rest well until that scepter is found."

Loki snorted. As much as he hated this about himself, he was always one for a bargain. He sucked in a deep breath through his nose and released it slowly, then looked Evy in the eye.

"What are your terms, Agent?" Loki hissed. As much as he wanted to ignore Evy and just threaten her to get her to do as he wished, he knew that humoring her and giving her some sense of control might be the best option. Not for her, but for him. It wouldn't do him any good if she felt she couldn't have some control. He'd break her, just... not yet.

"I'll listen to your plan, but if I don't like the terms, I will commence my own plan." He wanted to get in her face, make her scared of him again, but here, in the slightly crowded, witness-filled streets of New York, was NOT the place to threaten someone. Even though, Loki was quite certain that New Yorkers were too caught up in their own lives to notice someone else's at stake.

He crossed his arms over his chest and glared down at Evy, trying to communicate that her terms better be something he'd agree with. He was already feeling pretty moody now that he'd realized it was his second day of being stranded on Midgard and he'd gotten absolutely nowhere. Even Thor got more done on his second day being on Midgard than Loki had... If she even so much as suggested something stupid, Loki would lose his calm on her and make her suffer and he wouldn't care who was around to see.

Evy's head tilted upwards a little bit, her jawline set tightly knowing she had his attention and he was listening intently, for once. (Even though she wasn't sure if he ever was or not). And for a moment, she felt a swell of pride and smugness in her chest for this, as if she was proud of herself. She fought back the crack of a smile as she took a step close to him, her voice low so they don't attract anyone's attention as they walked by where Evy and Loki had stopped.

"I know you enjoy putting people in pain? But I don't want anyone harmed while we do this unless you absolutely have to. I can understand basic defense unlike most people, but I don't want you simple looking at someone and deciding you want them dead or your current play thing," she said, her eyebrows raised and her eyes narrowed on him to show him just how much she really meant business at that moment.

"Simple enough, right?" A part of her felt foolish that she didn't ask for some more freedom being held captive instead, but she wasn't selfish. She had always been brought up to put people before her first. She was no Captain America, but she liked to think she can be noble when she can be.

"Now with that said, how good are you with impersonating someone else?" she asked? She already had a face in mind, a specific SHIELD agent even that became part of the plan. "Because I've seen you change clothes, but I haven't seen you change faces before." She slightly tilted her head to the side, her lips stretching into a small, proud smile. This plan was sure to work if Loki was open to cooperation with the one term.

Loki listened. He didn't want to, but he did, regardless. So... Evy didn't want anyone to get hurt? Fine. Loki wouldn't hurt anyone too badly unless he absolutely needed to. He had self control, he could agree with that condition.

"You wound me, Agent Haron. You believe me to be so cruel?" He feigned hurt, sounding only slightly sarcastic. "Fine." He huffed. As Evy talked, he noticed that he did not like how proud she seemed. He had to hand it to her, she did have a little bit of freedom and wiggle room, may as well use it. That's what he'd do in her situation, after all.

Speaking of freedom, he was also surprised that her one condition didn't require him to make her leash a little longer. Not that he would if she asked, but he was still surprised she didn't try to get him to do so. Loki started to think, perhaps she and his mother had more in common than he'd originally given a passing thought to. It nauseated him how 'decent' and 'noble' she was being. Why couldn't some of these Midgardian 'heroes' be selfish every now and then?!

"I need not prove myself to you, Agent. But I can assure you, I am a master of many disguises. I can easily change my appearance on a whim. Just state what appearance I need take and it will be done." He didn't demonstrate his magic to her. Proving himself to her wasn't worth the extra energy that would take. He'd rather save it for when he actually needed to change appearances. "Is there nothing else you require?"

Evy immediately gave Loki a deadpanned face. So cruel? "Need I remind you what You had done the last time you were here?" Hundreds injured, many dead. All because of what he had allowed to be unleashed upon this world. Her world.

A part of her wanted to hold her tongue. She hadn't heard of Loki being the hand of any casualties. But with him being him, one can never be so sure.

"In my bag is my emergency SHIELD badge. It allows me access to the middle floors and main floor of Shield. If you can become the appearance of a guard agent I know, we can go inside. You can pretend you found me, I can pretend to be wounded, and you can push to be at my side as you," she paused to raise her hands and crested quotation marks with her fingers, "take me to the infirmary which is on the middle floor by my lab, and I can easily slip into my lab where I have some gas grenades saved to knock a whole room out. We can use that on the floor of the control room so we can shut down the entire power grid system and be able to hack into SHIELD files. There's bound to be some informative files in there about your scepter so we can find where it is. And when we do, the power will still be down so you'll have an open window to transporting us away from the headquarters. That way you're with me at all times, I don't run off, and you can be satisfied with the information we're sure to find."

Her breath was coming quickly. She was excited and she had begun wringing her hands repeatedly as she thought over what she had just said. She looked down to the concrete, sucked in a deep breath, and exhaled slowly before she looked back up at him.

"What do you think?" she whispered, a small piece of her shamelessly hoping she had impressed him to make him rethink calling her pathetic.

"The plan is satisfactory." Loki said as a matter-of-fact-ly. "Alright, Agent Haron. I will play along with your plan." He waved his hands in front of his body and used his magic to make. Evy's bag reappear. It materialized in his hands and he brought the bag forward to give to her. "Remember..." He warned. "You do not touch the food."

As he waited for her to go through the bag, finding her special badge, he began to talk, well, rather, he began to threaten Evy, and it wasn't because he didn't trust that her plan would work, it was mostly just because he enjoyed threatening someone and enjoyed being in a position of power. By allowing himself to follow along with Evy's plan had made him feel as though he'd given up some of his power and he desperately wanted to feel like he was still in control,

"You had better hope that this ploy of yours works, Agent." He snapped. "Because should it fail, you will never be given an opportunity like this again. You'll never see SHIELD again and I'll make you wish you never suggested it." His heart was racing before he could even realize it. It excited him to threaten Evy, yet, at the same time it made him more excited to see that she was still fighting him after being stuck with him for over twelve hours now. Evy was headstrong and Loki could appreciate that in a Midgardian... especially in a woman.

He stared at her, studying her face for a moment, then two. He didn't say anything more, just continued to stare at her, and he wasn't glaring or snarling at her, just staring, slightly awestruck. He'd known already that she was pretty, but no, he hadn't seen her like this before, she was actually quite beautiful. Still, Loki would not be so easily swayed by a beautiful face. He'd still do what he could to break her soon enough.

Evy immediately took her bag from Loki's hands the minute it materialized. She walked over to a wall so they weren't so out in the open and put it down, crouching as her hair fell into her face. She tucked her hair behind her ear, but a part of it failed to stay put as she unzipped the bag and her hands greedily searched for her badge slash key card. When she found it, she smiled brightly, pulling it out of a sock filled with emergency cash that had been saved up for so long she had forgotten when exactly she had even put it in there. She closed her bag back up and shoved it into Loki's hands, trying not to feel intimidated by how he was staring at her. God only knows what he's thinking. He was probably going over killing plans in his head, thinking of ways to make her pay should this fail.

She thought of ways to punish herself if this failed, for crying out loud.

"Cool your Asgardian pants, Loki," she grumbled, looking down at her ID. It was a rectangular heavy-duty plastic card with a barcode at the bottom of a small paragraph with her personal information just under the picture of her back when she had short hair that reached her mid-neck, back when she straightened her hair every single day. "Unlike you, I know how to follow rules," she nearly growled at him rather haughtily. God, he made her so emotional, more than normal.

"Alright here's my card. When we get to road that leads to the headquarters, I'll point out the guy I need you to transform into. While you change your appearance we'll walk up to him. Now he's new to SHIELD, so he'll easily be shocked. That'll give me time to knock him out cold so you can steal his access card and we can slip into headquarters easily." She looked around under her eyes focused on one of the signs that showed the temperature and time. "He should be just getting off of his lunch break right now," she told him. She knew this since she had once helped out with scheduling breaks and lunches when Hill, Coulson, and Fury were out busy and because she was just simply good at scheduling stuff.

After Evy shoved her bag back into Loki's hands, he immediately made it disappear again, thankful to have that extra baggage out of the way. He snorted when Evy mentioned that horrible word... "Rules". Rules only applied to those too weak to lead, in Loki's opinion.

"How long will it take us to reach said road?" He asked, he had the patience of an owl, but at the same time, Loki wanted to hurry things along as quickly as he possibly could. The longer they sat around and did nothing, the less chance he'd have of gaining what he wanted, which was the scepter, but really, the scepter was just a part of what would gain him what it was he truly wanted... Acceptance.

With the scepter in hand he could finally prove himself worthy to Odin, maybe even return back to Asgard and sit as an equal with Thor and the other gods. Loki shook the thoughts from his mind. Did he really want to be back on Asgard? Would he ever be an equal?

He was very tempted to take out his frustration on Evy, but Loki liked to consider himself a fair man. Evy hadn't done anything worth punishment... Yet. He knew it would do him no good in the long run to beat Evy now while she had done nothing other than find a reasonable, possibly even good plan for them to get into SHIELD's research headquarters and find more information on his scepter. Evy was proving to be useful after all, but Loki wondered how long her usefulness would last.

"Please," Loki began, "Lead the way, Agent Haron."

"If you can at least change into some jeans and a tee shirt, we can hop on a bus without catching anyone's attention," Evy said as she looked around and eyeing the clock once more before she turned to Loki, looking up at him for a moment too long.

Why was Loki so intent on getting his scepter? Hadn't he learned his lesson the last time he was here, to never cost the life of her people ever again, the people that his brother works so hard to protect? Does Thor even know Loki's here? How are they even related to begin with. Anyone would be foolish not to really pay any attention to that single question, but then again, it was so easy to skip over. Loki didn't have blonde hair, nor a bone of protective kindness in his body from the looks of it. He threatened her life just yesterday, had a sharp object against her neck and had dug that stupid tool into her poor palm.

But looking at him now, without anger in his face or a threat in his eyes, it made her think twice about him. What if he was just some misunderstood god? I mean, nothing, not even gods could be perfect? There's bound to be outcasts here and there, right? I read way to many fantasy novels.

"There's a bus stop nearby. If we hurry now we can make it. Its third stop is just across the way from the road that leads to SHIELD headquarters," she told him as she began to play with her hair, looking around at the people around her, rushing to wherever they were rushing to. Jobs, meeting a friend, lunch...

Lunch...her stomach grumbled with a new emptiness. She was fully awake now. "I've offered up some help. Can I at least grab a muffin from my bag, please?" she asked politely in a soft voice, dropping her arms to her side as she hooked her thumbs in the pockets of her pants. A strong wind came by and swept her fallen hair from her shoulders, a storm brewing in the distance as she tore her eyes from him, cleared her throat, and stared at the dark angry clouds rolling in their way.

When Evy had asked if Loki could change, a wry expression crossed his features, however, it was quickly replaced by amusement and Loki said, "I can do even better than that." And he allowed his golden magic to slowly morph his appearance to that of a young woman, around Evy's age, maybe younger, with bright, green eyes, long, watery, black hair and a complexion that was only slightly darker than his own. "She" wore slightly torn jeans and a plain, white tank top with a tie dye heart in the center of "her" chest.

Loki smiled under his guise. "We could have ridden a bus without detection regardless of my appearance, Agent, if that is what you meant by 'catching'. However, it's always fun to play along in your little game." He smirked.

At the mention of lunch, Loki realized he'd completely forgotten about Evy needing to eat. This was becoming most bothersome. If he'd known humans needed to eat so often he'd have probably just killed Evy yesterday and saved himself the bother of having to feed her every so often. It was too late now, she was here and she was hungry and she had food, may as well let her eat. Not now, though.

Loki grabbed Evy by her arm roughly, despite being in the form of a young, skinny woman, he still retained his godlike strength. He leaned in and whispered in Evy's ear threateningly, "You will not eat until you take me to the bus stop.... Even then, you will only eat once the bus has begun to move again." He let go of her arm and shoved her forward, mocking, "Lead the way, Agent."

Evy smirked as she rolled her eyes at Loki and lead the way to the bus stop, trying not to feel bothered by the fact that he wouldn't let her eat yet. "So I'm amusing enough for you? Glad to hear it," she said a bit dryly.

She was ready to take another step when she felt Loki grab her arm roughly. She felt his strength as he pulled her towards him a bit and even under a different disguise, Loki was still plenty of intimidating. She shuddered as she felt his breath hit her face. It was still him, she didn't have to remind herself.

She tried to pull her arm free from his grip, which was bruising. She glared up at him and something snapped in her, like a switch. If he was going to be bi polar and a complete ass, so could she. She had enough coordination to keep herself from falling completely on her ass when she felt Loki push her. What a bully.

"This way, Loki," she mocked back, beginning to walk away from him. He can follow her or whatever, she was too pissed to care. The bus stop was just around the corner and she saw the bus at the traffic light. She walked ahead of Loki, not stopping until she was standing beside the bus stop sign sticking out of the concrete. The bus was just coming. They had made it in time. She didn't have to look to Loki to know he was nearby as she crossed her arm over her chest and looked up at the bus.

The bus stopped and its doors opened, a dozen or so people coming off of the bus talking and looking tired from a morning of work and so forth. The bus was empty now as Evy didn't start walking onto the bus until everyone else that had been standing at the bus stop with them were on.

Evy pulled her bus card from her pocket that she had pulled out with her badge without Loki even knowing as she had, showing the bus driver and getting the card marked twice as she cocked her head towards the back of the bus for Loki to follow.

Loki couldn't help it, he kind of liked her attitude. Though, he could tell that her fuse was quickly burning short, if he were to get what he wanted from her, he'd guessed he'd have to be a bit more careful as to not push her over the edge too quickly. Still, he liked toying with her, he quite liked being the bully for once. The one who had power for once, rather than the one who was subjected to those with power he did not possess.

Midgard wasn't too bad of a realm. The people were quite easy to control one on one, and even in groups... Provided that SHIELD didn't get involved. He'd have to get to his scepter before SHIELD could if he ever wanted to leave Midgard. As much as he enjoyed bossing people around, he could not, would not live out the rest of his days stranded on Midgard and forgotten by Odin and his kin on Asgard.

He followed Evy closely, smiling and doing his best to mimic the persona of a Midgardian girl Evy's age... maybe younger. He was actually having a lot of fun, after all, he was the god of deception and mischief. He enjoyed tricking people. He stayed very, very close to Evy, not wanting her to wander off too far and also wanting to make himself seem as though he were a friend, albeit an annoying, perhaps even involved in a one-sided friendship kind of friend, but a friend of Evy's nonetheless.

Loki followed Evy to the back of the bus, his devilish smirk still plastered to his face. Try as he may, Loki could never pass for a woman. He may look like one, but he would always and forever be Loki Laufeyson... Just a cold-hearted man... No, God of Asgard. No matter how he looked, he was still unlady-like as any man who'd try to masquerade around as a woman. As he sat down beside Evy, he sat lazily with his legs open, the same way he was used to sitting on Asgard, or anywhere for that matter.

He turned to look at Evy and his smirk slowly dissipated from his face. "You've offered a quite decent plan, Haron." Loki said softly, he didn't want anyone on the bus to find something... off about him or his relationship with Evy, especially not while he was under the disguise of a Midgardian woman. "... But our agreement was food for information." He reminded her as he turned away for a moment to make Evy's bag reappear with his magic.
