haha, we all know you're the talk of the town biitchyass: (which is not necessarily a good thing) but if I stopped talking about you, you'd probably have nothing else to do. and that's a dire fate I wouldn't wish on anyone

there's some great Easter movies on TV today. Honey I Shrunk The Kids, classic. although Prince of Persia; Sands of Time seems to have replaced The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad. bad form TV guide, I was looking forward to watching that with a goblet full of wine, and a belly stuffed to the brim with roast chicken

Do Brits always only eat roast chicken on Sundays? I have to have variety in my meals. Even though my mom's favorite thing to cook on Sundays growing up at home with her was Pot Roast. Blehhhh Guess thats y I have an opposition to certain meals being planned by the day of the week.

lol, not every Sunday, but its Easter Sunday. have you not noticed a chickeny theme?
but seriously, lamb or chicken are traditional Easter fodder as its a celebration of rebirth and ushering in the spring with new crops and livestock

lol if only it were so, ma petit filou. but that's only there to placate the younglings while the oldies do their thing. and its shaped like eggs and bunnies to integrate them into the life of ploughing, sowing, and harvest. atleast it was many moons ago. nowadays, its all controlled by the media and the confectionery industry who have taken over the spring equinox for their own sinister purpose.. consumerism .

Literally my friend from London cooks & eats Roast Chicken at least 3 Sundays a month with or without the holidays. But anyway, to each their own & growing up in a Christian American household, Easter has very significant meaning to me & my family.

We will dine on Honey Baked Spiral Cut Ham with numerous side dish options.

Wonder what the Queens dinner was today? Maybe the Roast Duck? Seems fancier

lol, the Queen is probably eating swan with badger pate, she's the only one allowed to eat those things here. the rest of up peasants would get arrested. true story ...I must admit, alot of English , dare I say British, families do sit down for a roast dinner every sunday. but its not necessarily chicken, sometimes its lamb or beef or duck or gruffalo. it usually depends on the level of class, and foreign influence. for instance, my heritage isn't fully English, so sometimes we mix it up a bit, bring together two cultures, two bandwidths of traditions. it makes supper time on the day of rest a little more 'Russian Roulettish.'

Most fruits and vegetables are a strange exception to the rule. We should eat them cautiously. They might be planning an attack.

what do you mean, swan's a major delicacy. we had some Romany gypsies camping out in St Jamses park (which is just outside Buckingham Palace) who were pilfering the swans. they were arrested when police found them roasting them on spits over an open fire ,

apparently, fruits are from Mars, and vegetables are from Venus

---------- Post added 04-05-2015 at 06:08 PM ----------

tell that to the Queen of England. now I'm not saying for sure that she actually eats them per say. the verdict's still out on that one. but she is,definitely the only person living in the U.K.who has legal jurisdiction to eat a swan. mainly because they're protected by the crown, and we all know who wears that
