yes, I did drop my phone while checking the time today.
yes, the screen did shatter into a bazillion pieces.
yes, I was on my way to do a good deed.
yes, they did make me wait an hour on arrival, negating the reason I took my phone out of my pocket in the first place.
yes, it does still work perfectly fine (it just looks really cheap and ugly).
yes, I did stay calm.the whole time through, while considering writing a stiff letter of complaint to my right hand about its ham-fistedness.

Well, the shattered screen sucks! ....the fact that it still works fine doesn't suck so much!
The BF drops his phone all the time! ....the last one had a shattered screen....and a piece of the glass stuck out and was sharp....so he picked at it and the piece came out....then the phone didn't work right any more!
So...he got a new phone....prolly had it a month and the screen is shattered, but the phone still works.
My phone is a really old Casio Commando....they claim it is nearly indestructible....I've prolly dropped it 5 times in the 3-plus years that I've owned it....not even a scratch on the screen!

So....if you are tempted to write a letter to your right hand, does that mean that you are left-handed?....cuz it seems redundant to write a letter to the hand that's writing the letter.....unless, maybe ya wear a glove while writing?

I am right handed, but I suppose I could always sit on it till its numb, that way it will feel as though someone else is writing it. funny thing is, I drop my phone all the time and nothing, then for once I decide not to be late for something and this is my reward. there's a lesson in there somewhere, probably "the early bird may get the first worm, but the second mouse gets all the cheese." and I'll take cheese over worms anyday. I have about six or seven other phones I can use, though this is by far the superior model. my main concern, past the annoyance of viewing the net through a shattered universe, is that to fix this one means to lose all the data stored within, including the gagillion passwords which I neglected to remember. but hey ho, its not the first time I've had to start over, and I doubt it'll be the last.

I've done that before too, drop my phone in the toilet, in the bath, and even in the kitchen sink, but its always worked fine afterwards. the trick is to turn it off immediately and let it dry out. submerging it in a bowl of uncooked rice works a treat for that, because it absorbs all the moisture.

Man, breaks are so effective.

and it works too, I'd stake my dinner on it. though you probably wouldn't want to eat the rice afterwards, especially if your phone has been in the toilet.

So I told my carrier company or whatever and I just got a new phone.

When you feel like you were in bed for an eternity but it's only 8:30 AM.

that's what, about twelve and a half Celsius, right? if I had a big enough fan, I'd waft over some of this warm weather we've been having here. its been raining, and the other day there were thunderstorms, but its still been hot enough to fry eggs on the sidewalk.
