I think I probably get it from growing up watching tv shows such as Jackanory. its an iconic British children's television program in which popular tv personalities read children's stories from books. the particular episode in the link has two of the greatest children's books ever

You can probably guess my favorite children's book....
The Runaway Bunny. I love reading this one to the kids, but they're toddlers and this book is a little too complex for them so they don't pay attention long enough to enjoy it. Plus, I recently discovered that they ripped this book so now it's in two pieces and unreadable. >:C
Those blasted...... little adorable, cuddly angels. I can't be mad at them...

wow, that's one over protective bunny mummy, I'm not sure if she's stifling his dreams or or just always being there for him. it is a good story though, the kind of tale they would tell on Jackanory. my favourite as a kid was the tiger who came to tea. though I've always wondered if the mummy really ate all the food while watching daytime tv, or made up the story to get an evening out

unfortunately, Sally and the family Duval only focused on American-based folk tales etc, so they didn't really get much airtime over here. that and the fact that they only ever made like nine episodes. I did however love the Johnny Appleseed episode (I would post the link to it, but the site they're on can only be viewed from within the United States), mainly because my mum had found an outlet that sold huge American Red apples, which strangely I never see them in stores here anymore

That depends. Have your dreams had symbolism in the past, do you dream about things weighing on your subconscious, or does your mind assemble your thoughts according to a pattern that gets changed whenever you figure out the pattern?

Guess I'm crazy. God has spoken to me in dreams at least 3 times, twice in visions & once vocally.

repetitive dreams are usually the sign of a troubled mind, as are dreams of danger. but most dreams are just your brain processing stored information without the restraints of both consciousness or conscience. you see, its not your body that needs sleep, that can go on indefinitely as long as its fed and watered. its your mind that needs the rest, so it can sort out all those pent up thoughts into tidy little compartments for later access (nothing is ever forgotten, just occasionally misplaced). every now and again, errant thoughts rise to the surface of the unconscious mind, and sometimes they can be related to real life events, often as a type of 'theat rehersal' similar to the mind's 'fight or flight' reflex. nightmares are an extreme case of this, but there's no exact science to translate them as everyone sees and reacts to the world around them in a different way from everyone else. and that, kiddlywinks, is the problem with the soft sciences (psychology sociology economics etc), there are too many variables to make a definitive prediction, just a generalization of norms from a particular focus group. eg, a man from Papau New Guinea is unlikely to have the same experiences to a man from Dusseldorf, so their dreams will most likely have different meanings.
and now, a message from our sponsor...

If I dream, I never remember any! ....I mean NEVER!
When I go to sleep, it's like being unplugged........
....that's a rather unnerving thought, actually.....

you're probably not getting enough sleep, or are so exhausted from your daily ablutions that your dreams offer little to no respite. a great trick to remember dreams is to keep a dream diary. the second you wake up, write anything you remember. the thing about dreams is the longer you're awake after REM sleep, the more quickly they fade back into the recesses of mental obscurity. or some intelligible blah like that
