Hey ^^
Today is a day to relax and take it ease, i'm doing the laundry at the moment helping my mother out a bit around the house, everyone does their part as a team haha that's how my mom and i make my little bro contribute haha
He's a little bug but at the end i love him. Today he got me so upset it's not even funny .. I hate when people take me for a fool -__- but he doesn't get that yet lol Soon he will that's the beauty of being brothers.
We're having a family super tonight and then i might go out for drinks with my cousin, i don't know haha what about you ? Moving is doing well ? When's the date ?

That sounds like fun. :D
I only have one sibling, and she's much older so I don't talk to her much. She's also my half sibling so we were never raised in the same house. :c

We don't have the date set in stone yet, but we are definitely moving by summer. We have to wait to put our house on the market until spring because we'd get more for it that way. And we have a lot of renovations to do to it. I'm going to start packing the boxes today, though. We have movies and books that can start going in boxes. Then once the carpet is put down, we can start putting away our pictures and our blankets and pillows.

sure, just jump in, the more the merrier. as long as you read the title (first) page, and understand the rules, then everything's Mr Tinker

that's what I mean, it can go both ways. of course, sometimes we put ourselves into these situations, then can't find our way back out. if you've ever heard of a co-dependant relationship you'll know what I mean. some people thrive on having someone tell them what to do and how to do it, and some others get off on telling them what to do and how to do it. as much as that sounds like the perfect mac and cheese combination, its probably the most unhealthy type of relationship you can have, very bad for the emotional arteries. people in a co-dependant relationship tend to feel worthlessly useless at one end of the spectrum, and painfully essential at the other. they feel their partner would be lost without them in their respective roll, which makes them feel needed, and in turn they become needy, grabby, clingy within the relationship. one looses all confidence and the other becomes omniconfident. quite frankly its only a matter of time before something breaks, everything breaks. often it leads to abuse, be it physical, mental, or self induced. and the worst of it is, almost all relationships are atleast slightly co-dependant on one way or another, its just all about getting the right balance. lol, if only it wasn't so difficult

I learned about co-dependency in outpatient hospital treatment.

My mom was very co-dependent. But she was really controlling and wanted to control every aspect of my life because, I guess she wanted to feel needed. She'd talk for me during my therapy appointments and one time the police brought me to the hospital and she told them that I was fine and that I didn't need to stay overnight, so she took me home because she wanted to take care of me and not let the hospital do their job. Then, she'd clean my room for me, talk to my friends for me and do my homework for me.

its seems like she meant well. it is after all a parent's duty to take care of their child, so its easy to see why she would want to take control of the situation. its also possible that, on some level atleast, she somehow blamed herself for the turn of events. and who knows, the things she did may well have been the catalyst to both/either stalling and/or restarting your healing process, psychology is hardly a precise science. there is no known definitive cure for mental illness, and none of the treatments for such have any more or less success than any other. mainly because, as with all soft sciences, there are too many variables. everyone is different, they perceive the world differently, and their thought processes are as dissimilar as snowflakes, even in identical twins who have had the same social inputs throughout their lives. so there is no exact science to treating difficulties of the mind. the good thing is, you have learned to self diagnose, to see the warning signs and be able to identify the triggers. and that right there is just about the closest thing there is to a universal cure. all else is just a case by case basis kinda thing governed by focus group statistics

Hey menelaus, well if you'd like i could make a full list from favorite to hated, that's what i would answer back to a psychologist hehe and a psychologist 89% of the time answers with a question, as he's the one analysing me not the other way around, of course.

lol, a psychologist would say "you're deflecting" because you didn't answer the question. as for me, I watch all movies, be they good or bad. I don't have a particular genre, I just like to 'monitor the culture'

like I said, I watch all movies, all genres, all everything. I'm like the trash heap on fraggle rock, sees all, knows all, is all, something like that

in other news, Cumbria, in the north of England, has been flash flooded, people had to climb out of their upstairs windows to escape after a river broke its banks. nobody has been seriously injured though, unlike the current floods in India where three hundred people are said to have died. you'd think in this day and age that such things could be avoided, but, just like the farmers who live near volcanoes in South America, people often enjoy the fruits of the land waaaay too much to worry about ifs and what may bes

lol, that's a strange question to ask. for all you know, I was raised by a family of tree otters in Outer Mongolia and have never seen the inside of a classroom, let alone been tested academically. "they were a quaint trotter family, swimming through the branches catching sky fish in their beaks and cracking open clamsnails on their bellies with twigs." it was quite an upbringing

Menelaus, I know that not all men are parasitic....but the ones who are tarnish the reputations of those who aren't....making women assume that all men are looking for a free ride at their expense.

I know that there are some really great men out there...In fact, I'm pretty convinced that Mr.Menelaus is one of the better of that group!

My mom was one of those women who would "poke the bear"....continuously pour salt into open wounds...act pompous toward her husband(s) if she knew more about something than them....Then she would eventually wind up with a black eye or visiting a hospital...
I know its never supposed to be okay for a man to hit a woman, but my mom seemed to be asking to be beat up on a regular basis.

Ava, sometimes parents overindulge in the authority of being a parent...
Its like they spent their whole childhood being told what to do and being bossed around...and now they have become adults and feel that it is THEIR turn to be BOSS....to make the rules and enforce them.
...then there's the parents that don't seem to discipline or even interact with their kids at all!
A happy medium would be nice! Lol!

Tim...right now, my favorite movies are KPAX, with Kevin Spacey...and Tombstone, with Val Kilmer.
My preferences change pretty often! Lol!

KPax is a great movie. its always fun when the alien turns out to be more 'human' than the humans, like Mr Spock in Star Trek

My favorite movies are probably Only Lovers Left Alive and The Help.

I could watch The Help over and over everyday for the rest of my life.

I have always been curious about my psychologist, but I never can work up the nerve to say, "Enough about me, let's talk about you!" My therapist is awesome, but she is probably going to be sassy if I asked to talk about her instead of myself.

lol, I can imagine the sour look on her face if you ever get up the nerve to ask that. a friend of mine who's currently in receipt of psychiatric care (I almost said conditioning) for mild psychosis gave one of the most witty yet strange responses to his psychologist's closing query of "so, Mr Blah Blah, is there anything else I can do for you?" to which he dryly replied

explicit contentX

"well I wouldn't say no to a blow job!!"
funny thing is, he's normally so passive and repressed within his own depression, but the mental health system had let him down so many times that he finally snapped. that episode cost him a week in the high security unit, and he never tried it again. seven days bunking up with real hardcore psychopaths is enough to knock the wind out of anyone's sails
