What is that word that describes words like radar that stand for something? I think it was acronym?

radar did originally stand for RAdio Detection And Ranging, but its one of those unique acronyms that has been promoted to being a common noun, thus losing all capitalization, because of the term's popularity

I soooo need to buy myself a new phone (or fix this one), it decided to turn itself off for two days without letting me charge it, then suddenly turned itself back on this morning as if nothing happened. I think its possessed

I'm truly ashamed, but then it's been at least 40 years since I read it.

Holy shit my dad thought Blacula was a really good movie, but he loved the blaxplotation films of the 60s. Don't forget Coffy and Foxy Brown.

What else was there....? Shaft?

you left out Blackenstien and Superfly. I want to say Action Jackson, Hollywood Shuffle, and I'm Gonna Get You Sucka, but they're more 80's 'Naked Gun' style spoofs of 70's blacksploitation

I never watched very many blaxplotation films, but I did love their afros.
Pam Grier was gorgeous back in the day. 8D

Too bad they don't make movies like that anymore. Not that I watched them anyway.

Oh yeahhh I remember Superfly. A lot of people liked those tight coats back in the 70s.

Speaking of movies, people are really upset about the women who were nominated for Oscars. All white.

I don't see the issue with it, I mean, yeah its upsetting but the people who do the voting for Oscars are old white men. And not a lot of black women playing ghetto roles are going to appeal to old white men. :|

Just saying.

Yeah, African and Asian Americans are extremely unrepresented in the Oscar nominees, and women especially, including in the director category. There was a really good video I wanted to show you actually, but I can't find the link. It was someone who was doing a nail polish tutorial based on the Oscars and is hilariously and sadly accurate

That sounds funny, salvete!
I'll try googling it. 8D it sounds really funny though, I love parodies of things like that. Especially if it's terribly accurate. C:
