lol, I'd need to somehow aquire a ukulele before any tutelage could commence. but its admirable that you were able to learn how to play one by your own volition. not many people have that level of self determination

It's actually very easy to play.
It's just a matter of remembering chords and notes. I can't read music at all, so all I do is play chords on the ukulele. It's super easy! That's the only reason why I still play it.

Oh yes, the ukulele is very stress relieving. I mean, the way it sounds it kind of reminds you of Hawai'i sometimes, or island-y, and sometimes it just naturally sounds upbeat and happy. My favorite thing to do on rainy days is to play sad songs on the ukulele because something about that happy, upbeat instrument playing slow, sad songs is just heartbreaking yet, so relaxing at the same time!

I used to b a avid reader. My favorite aurtores we're a 50/50 split of English&American writers. Arthur Conan Doyle especially his Sherlock Holmes stories. Rudyard Kipling, his stories of the British occupation of India. Edgar Allen poe& Mark twain.

I haven't been around long enough to determine whether or not I ping the pings, though my filters don't open the message in a new tab or anything like that.

lol, I get the same thing when I'm using my phone, but if I close the tab request, I can simply pick it back up in my in-site messages

lol, how're you doing, Alicia, after all of your well organised, and beautifully designed, threads, I'd bet that coming in here must be like poking your head through the looking glass (and getting a dry shave for your troubles). well, hopefully, next time, it won't take the exremes of a thorough pinging to get you to pop round to tea, especially now that the front door is open

loool, oopsie indeed. haha, as a kid I always used to think that Arthur Conan Doyle wrote the Conan the Barbarian stories, Robert E Howard must be turning in his ceremonial urn. quite like Mr Twain right now I suppose. lol, I read alot of Rudyard Kipling as a child too

I can actually imagine that, because the ukulele makes such a uniquely happy sound. I wonder what it would sound like if you played some Wagner, or a little Strauss? lol, can you envision an upbeat rendition of Die Wakure, or even Die Fledermaus

So, I just got a weird pop-up what seemed to be from my IP claiming I might be infected with a virus known as "Zeus". Time to run the scans, about an hour or two each.

ouch, that's a baaad baaaad virus you've got there. probably from something you downloaded. I'm not sure if a good cleaning will be enough, but take a look at this Zeus Removal Link for more details ]

Right now, I'm not even sure it's a legit alert. I'll look at the link though, just to be on the side of caution. It showed up exactly once, only on this tab (I had three open), and the ISP forums had recent posts (earliest being last week) talking about the link from the pop up going nowhere.

lol, of course, but better to be safe than sorry. Zeus is a Trojan virus, so it hides inside other files, such a pop-ups. and once its in your system, it periodically rewrites the websites which you frequent with things like additional information boxes on eforms so as to garner your information for its own sinister purposes. so not a friendly bedfellow to have sleeping in your server at all

AVG Anti-Virus came back negative, so now it's MalwareBytes' turn to see what it finds.

lol, you're probably ok, if you didn't open the pop-up. but running an anti-malware program should be effective if you did contract it

MalwareBytes also returned negative. Signs are pointing to my being alright. I know I don't trust my ISP much, so an alert from them I've not seen before would likely not be clicked on without my googling it first.

Ah, feels good to say I might be able to still buy things on Steam and GoG.com.

was the topic of the day, and, I won't go into semantics, but its one doozy of a tricky subject to evaluate. although, this afternoon, I will be mainly taking in the rays. lol, yep, you guessed it, the sun is has got his hat on, and I am being a rainbow. well I will be when I get to the park. then it'll be my turn for a lazy slow motion giggle and kicks afternoon. lol, just enough to set me up until tea time
So, how often do they have these events, and is that the only time allocated for competition holding?

The events happen fairly often from what I've seen. Hopefully we will have the Phoenix jubilee next and I believe it happens in april or may... I'm not entirely sure though lol

The events are awesome for contests and games because chats move fast with so many menewshans coming online to enjoy them but I think you can host your own games and contests and competitions whenever you'd like. I'm sure any kind of fun participation would be encouraged

lol, they'd have to be happy with shirt buttons for prizes if I were to hold one, my inventory's about as empty as a spent inkjet cartridge. just scrapings around the edges that are fit for the bin. lol, to tell the truth, I don't think I'd be very good at hosting one, but I do like the idea behind them. sometimes the peoples of a populace need external motivations/distractions to encourage them to try new things, or even continue with the old. challenges with a fair chance for all are some of the best things for this. mainly because they bring people closer together, and who really wants to be alone? weeell, there are hermits, but apart from them, you know. also, people just looove, to get something for nothing. the best things in life come for free, like birdsong in the spring, a warm summer's day, or winning the lotto with a ticket you found stuck to your shoe

Pardon. That post was better said as:

Sing a song.
Voice goes sultry.

It's because I ended up mimicking the singers' voices. They're some of the vocal queens of K-pop, the people who care say.
