It is sad.
It really sucks that being an adult seems to just suck the creativity out of you.
I recently read a post on tumblr about poems written by fourth graders being more complex than those written by adults. As kids they don't have barriers for their language except that they may not know that many words, but that's what's so awesome. They can describe big things in such small words and they can say it so imaginatively because their words have no structure.
I miss being a kid, I was cute, cuddly, creative. The. Life just came and messed it all up. Stupid life, go backwards! We all need to be kids again!

I can relate to the being an adult stifling creativity. I mean, I used to be so keen on just throwing things down on an RPG Maker, and even drawing whatever came to mind. Just trying something and seeing what sticks. Now... well... I want things to make sense and I want no imperfections to my vision. It hurts.

lol, misery loves a friend, as my old granny used to say
lol, Bishalisious: that's a definite nope! brown-nosing should only be used as a ploy to make people depart quickly, and without any fuss. it should never be used as a face mask
lol, Lays chips don't even exist in the UK, we have Walker's crisps instead
lol, being all morbified about aging will not make the situation disappear, it'll only speed up the process via stress-lines and a receding hairline. the only true way of staying forever young, is to sleep in a sealed Tupperware container filled with olive oil, like I do. its amazeballs, I've dropped two weeks in six months. that's more than one day a week, where else are you going to get results like that? even plastic surgery has an expiry date. so there you have it, the answer to true immortality, and you heard it here first. "this infomercial was brought to you by the Mediterranean tourist board, and Betterware, sealing food in refrigerators since nineteen fifty three "
sometimes, when I turn on my TV, it switches to a random channel before settling on the last one I watched. I think that its trying to tell me something

Quote:
A man goes to a restaurant and orders a chicken dish. By the time the food is ready and he is about to eat, the waiter comes back and says, “Sir, I’m afraid there has been a mistake. You see, that police officer who is sitting at the next table is a regular customer of ours and he usually orders the same dish. The problem is, this is the last chicken in the house. I’m afraid I’ll have to take this dish to him and arrange for another dish for you!”
The guy gets really upset and refuses to give up his food. The waiter walks over to the other table and explains the situation to the officer. A few minutes later the officer walks over to the man’s table and says, “Listen and listen good. That is MY chicken you are about to eat and I’ll warn you, whatever you do to that chicken I’ll do the same to you. You pull out one of its legs, I’ll pull out one of yours. You break one of its wings, I’ll break one of your arms!”
The man calmly looks at the chicken, then sticks his middle finger in the bird’s rectum, pulls it out and licks it. He then gets up, drops his pants, bends over and says, “Go ahead!”

Hahaha! It's not even aging that I'm really upset about, it's the dying bit.
I don't want to reach the end of my life and go, "Seriously?! THIS is how I'm dying?!" And then I don't want to have to experience the death of all my friends... And I don't want to lose my cuteness and creativity.
I don't want to die! I just want to grow up more and be amazing and talented and then when I can't go anything else, I have want to explode into an almond milk rainbow!

lol, I do kind of get what you mean, especially the rainbows bit. but believe me, at twenty, your life hasn't even started yet. lol, you've barely had your stabilizers off of your 'lifecycle' for more than five minutes and you're already contemplating the pros and cons of taking part in the 'Tour de Morte.' now don't get me wrong, I'm no different, and I personally plan on living forever, literally. but you've got to actually live life to be alive, metaphorically speaking. take me for example, I've climbed mountains, accosted royalty, and even free-dived down to the bottom of the Aegean Sea (that was a hard one, because I really can't swim) among other stupidly reckless things. but that's three more things out of my bucket, so that when/if I do go to the great beyond, the weight of my regret will be a little lighter in my pack. the point is, if you look for the negatives in life/death, then that's exactly what you'll find. but if you reach towards the positives, you just might get that almond milk shower you so desperately seek. or something like that

That makes sense.
I just realized that I was literally half asleep when I wrote about my almond milk explosion so it probably doesn't even make any sense. LOL.
Awkward. Anyway...
Yeah, I mean, death. It's such a crazy thing. I don't want to die. But yeah, I want to live. I want to do things with my life, not just get old and crotchety and dusty and mean and crazy. But then, I don't want to do a bunch of reckless things and die young.
Who knows? Maybe one day I really will just explode into a rainbow of almond milk. I'd like that, but it's whatever. I just don't want to reach the end of my life and have it be really sad and pathetic.

You know, you might... just might have put some aspects of my ex's break up with me in perspective. Especially given the reasons she gave me for the break up. Glimmer of Hope!!! Though it was also a long distance relationship.

you know, old, crotchety, dusty, mean and crazy, are actually on my looooong list of things to do (and quite possibly the original names of the seven dwarves). granted, they're right at the end of my list, but they're definitely on there. I feel that old people have earned the right to be all of those things, just for surviving as long as they have. a friend's relation passed a few weeks back, two weeks before her one hundredth birthday. can you imagine all the things she'd seen in a hundred years? world war one, world war two, the suffragettes, man landing on the moon, the concord, the first mini skirts, burning the bra, the return of flared trousers, a young Bob Sagget, so many things, and all in one lifetime too. she always had some great stories to tell. the kind of stories that you can only read in dusty old library reference books, and raunchy novels by Mills and Boone. the crowd at her funeral was so big that it spilled out onto the street and blocked traffic. that's how many lives she'd touched on her journey. I'd like to think that she got her almond milk rainbow, even if she did just miss her telegram from the queen by fourteen days

hey, Legendary alpha wolf: long time no see
we were talking about death and the prospect of almond milk rainbows
lol, watching the old MacGyver re-runs, I can see the inside joke of Dean Anderson playing the role of Colonel O'Neil in Stargate. in MacGyver, he's a soldier of fortune with a penchant for using science to achieve his lofty goals but hates guns. yet in Stargate, he's a career soldier who knows nothing of science at all but loves to shoot his way out of a mess. the contrast is so diverse, that its almost funny.. almost
one thing that's always bothered me. why has the Csi never found enough dna evidence, to prosecute Duncan McCloud?
I'm beginning to think, that I am becoming addicted to Copella's apple and elderflower juice. the label says that its made from hand pressed apples. hmmmn, I wonder if that mean they physically squeeze the juice out of them with their bare hands?
