I spend as little time with mine as possible. its as if they think that because they share a genome or two, it gives them licence to screw with you, repercussion free. if I could brick them all up behind a cellar wall, I would. but then their constant banging and scraping would annoy me instead ��

Well, I did do it. I told them. Gave 'em a short answer as to why I never want children. And they took it surprisingly easy.

The only family I have is my parents...
And I live with them, so no point in scheduling time to see them.

I don't think that parents or family should pressure their girls to have children when they don't want children, or when they have doubts about it.

My parents are the opposite of that. I tell them, "I want to get pregnant" and they're like, "Uhhhh, no. You need to have a career first....... and maybe a husband too."

*snorts* My sisters moved away, but my parents still make just me spend scheduled time with them.

Ah, I tell them all the time that I don't want kids. Just never give them a sample of my list of reasons. They're part of the majority that assumes everyone wants kids and WILL get married and have them. It was pretty easy. All I had to say was, "Why should I have kids if all I want to do is work?"
And they were like, "What if we want grandkids?" And I was like, "Older sister seems awful eager." And she is. She's planning a wedding and when to have kids. Oldest sister is like me. Older sister, though, is completely different.
I don't understand what part of childbirth makes people say, "Why?" when a girl—no, anyone; be a good husband!—says they don't want to have kids. I don't know about reactions to adoption.

Dat be my parents, and I agree! In fact, I'd like to finish college before I try to work. I can't do both, bro. I don't know how anyone does. And forget doing that while raising a kid.

�� the first ever episode of Dr Who is on the goggle-box today, The Unearthly Child. lol, I wonder what the nineteen sixty-three audiences thought when they saw old William Hartnell opening the Tardis doors for the first time? I mean, the episode's theme of worried school teachers visiting a pupil's home to talk to parents was inkeeping of the times, and seeing them enter the junkyard at 76 Totter's Lane must've made it seem like any other dreary televised drama. but then to find out that the troubled pupil and her grandpa, The Doctor, are actually aliens who travel through time and space in a policeman's telephone box, lol, I bet that raised a few eyebrows ��
