There is nothing awesome about reproduction from start to finish to follow-up.

The act of... reproducing? Right? Isn't awesome.
But actually squeezing out a baby is pretty damn amazing if you ask me!
I mean... yeah, it's probably so painful, but you create life.
I mean... life. From nothing! It just so magical.
It just makes me so sad that I'm 20 years old and I have no life in me while all of my friends seem to have lives of their own and happy families.
I want life...

From start—pelvic sorcery—to finish—childbirth—to follow-up—raising the thing. Of course, we mustn't forget the in-between, carrying the thing and falling apart.
Squeezing out a baby is gross and scary and, yes, too painful and dangerous. Not worth it to me. I say access to test tubes for everyone! I mean, come on. Going into labor or getting a letter in the mail saying your child has matured enough to come home? Do they actually do that right now, though?
When I was little, I thought nobody had kids in their twenties. Momma had me at nearly forty and oldest sister at nearly thirty. So when an 18-year-old is like, "I'm married and pregnant!" I'm like, UM. And now you got teen parents ERRYWHURR. Like, what? I thought that was when nobody cared about anything except seeing the world and having a good time!

Wow....this thread gets pretty heavy....and I'm rarely around to participate!
My theory on death is usually hard for others to fathom....for I believe that when the machine fails to function, and the cells can no longer sustain life, that we just....cease to be!....much like a plant that dies.
Pretty depressing,, huh?...to not expect some magical event or to be received by a heavenly host...
But....the LIVING part! ....To stay as active as possible....and to spread joy whenever possible....THOSE things keep ya young!
Seeing the joy in a child's face when ya show them how to do something for themself can shave a decade off your age!
Ya just never know when the lights will go out....pursue what makes you happy till ya take your last breath!
*steps down from soap box*
....So....like......HI, everybody! How's it goin'?

My theory on death is I'm too full of youthful energy to be able to let my mind dwell on such things.

my personal view on the whole life/death equation thingy, is that its not about the final destination (we're all going to get there in the end, anyway. nothing you can do about that short of downloading your intelligence to the world wide web) its about the route you decide to take on the journey. that's it, just live the way you love and love the way you live. anything else is just garnish on the side of life's plate. want kids? have kids. don't want kids? don't have kids. the decision is yours and yours alone. you've got to grasp at the things that make you happy in life. and if that life gives you lemons, squeeze them into water pistols and squirt them into other people's eyes. lol, ok, maybe not that last part, "..and harm none," as it says in the rede, but you get the gist
daylight savings time: why are they saving it, and where do they keep it? this and more, after a short commercial break

Was it me that mentioned death?
I think I said my opinion on it. I was just surprised to figure out that I'm actually going to die. Not now, not soon, but... Sooner than later! I'm 20 now, I've only got a few years left before I start doing less living and more dying!
Huh, I hate Daylight Savings Time. I can never understand why we need to save the daylight. What's wrong with living in darkness for a while!?

I watched that clip like at least twelve times.
I'm in so much pain right now I couldn't even go to work today...
I'm trying super hard not to run to the medicine cabinet and take like forty painkillers. This is so ridiculous! Why does life have to be this way?! Ugh.

"Wae" is Korean for "why." It is often exclaimed in frustration by zealous K-pop fans.

I would be worried about falling asleep on the train and then waking up and finding that you've been taken someplace strange... like ROCK BOTTOM.

lol, you've obviously not been a rail passenger in London. "don't look at me, don't talk to me, and if I miss my stop, don't wake me. just secretly laugh to yourself when I wake in a confused fluster of crinkled newspapers and mouth-corner drool"

I actually almost, almost fell asleep on the plane on the way back home.
I didn't sleep at all the night before, and the plane ride is three hours long, and it was just me sitting there and staring at the blank wall in front of me because I was in first class and I was in the very front of the plane. So I started watching Only Lovers Left Alive, and then my head started bobbing and my eyes were closing and I didn't even realize they were closed until I opened them again.
That doesn't sound like a pleasant London experience!
I'd be scared if I went to England and went on a train and fell asleep and woke up somewhere I didn't know. D: Maybe it just seems scarier to me because I'm not English?

lol, its actually not that scary, depending on which part of London you're in (I once took a train to meet a friend in Hounslow, and carried on to the next stop after hearing gunshots) but people on the train generally take on the attitudes of men in a public restroom. eyes front/ no talking, unless you brought your own people, or something out of the ordinary happens. I myself, don't care about breaking the boundaries of travel politics, and will talk to just about anyone on public transport. whether they're listening or not. it sooo freaks people out. but amuses the bystanders, who are thinking "yes! this time it wasn't me." I've actually had some very interesting conversations with randoms on the train. especially with the ones who are drunk. all their inhibitions have left on the previous platform, along with their pride. if it was ethical I would write a paper on it, but the BPA would probably strike me off their list of budding psychologist
I once fell asleep on top of a giant speaker at a reggae festival

Impressive! You could fall asleep about anywhere!
I used to fantasize about going on a plane and meeting an amazing person who'd just randomly start talking to me, but every time I fly and I sit next to someone I don't know, I just ignore them.
One time we hit turbulence and I was freaking out so badly I reached out and grabbed the hand of the man sitting next to me. He was so cool, he just pretended nothing happened.
One day, I will go to England and I will go on the train in hopes that you'll just come up and start talking to me. We should have a secret password. Like, "I like your shoes" and I say, "Yeah, I got them in Japan." And then we'd know that we're talking to each other!
Hopefully you never meet someone who actually got their shoes in Japan, because that would be really confusing!
Do men always act that way in the public restrooms? No talking? Is it really that awkward? o3o

I don't even know how you got up there.
Ava, are you saying you always talk to anyone else there when you use a public bathroom? In my experience, nobody does dat unless you're at school and know each other.

girls always talk in the bathroom, men don't. its an international social staple. when I did jury service, a man was being charged with attempted cottaging, because he kept making inappropriate eye contact with other men in Victoria train station's public restrooms. that's how taboo it is, even in the twenty first century. to tell the truth, I think its because of size envy. lol, wars have been started for less. I mean, there once was this short French guy who...

lol, don't get me wrong, there are exceptions. a nod of recognition on the way in/out, a quiet mass chuckle at the guy dropping redwood logs in the stall, and of course, if your in a nightclub restroom, the convo never stops. but all of that's with strangers. with friends its a different story. unless you notice that they don't ever wash their hands and you have to resolve the friendship into the leagues of nodding acquaintances
