lol, you have excellent penmanship (I never realize how gender specific that word still was) yourself, Insane, and when you eventually get around to writing that book, I'm pre-ordering my signed copy now, in front of witnesses. because once you're as famous as that 'Mr Grey' lady, you'll soon forget

When you see ya' mama cookin' food in the microwave and it looks nasty and she thinks you're talking about the smell n' ya' like, "It SMELLS too? How do you EAT that?"

lol, you hold your nose and close your eyes. I learned that at an early age, in my house you weren't allowed to leave the table unless your plate was clean. luckily, I've got a brother who's akin to a human vacuum cleaner, and he took great pleasure in eating from my plate when I wasn't looking... much

I appreciate the nice words, Menelaus....you are so kind!

Most food COOKED in the microwave is disgusting! ....that thing is only for warming what is already cooked!
My BF's mom used to make meatloaf in the microwave....and expect us to EAT it!

I have to disagree with that. Instant dinners. Bacon. Mac and cheese usually. Hot dogs. 'Less you're health-conscious. Then I don't know.

The worst smelling thing my family liked to eat cooked in the microwave was eggs. Disgusting. I do not own a microwave, haven't since I moved out of my mom's house. My husband is afraid of it causing cancer. We cook everything on the stove, in the oven, or in a toaster oven.

I don't cook ANYTHING in the microwave!
Ick! I only use it to heat up food, but most of the time I'll use the oven for that, depending on what it is.

The microwave is definitely NOT for cooking! Lol.

lol, I own a microwave, but I never use it. I just like the way it looks in the kitchen, and its also a 'just in case' precaution (always be prepared for the zombie apocalypse). I've got a friend who swears by the microwave, worships at its altar for every meal. so much so, that his veins must be running on pure MSG by now

When you're picky, you need a microwave.

lol, its a preference thing. I prefer not to eat processed foodage, or intentionally irradiate myself. whereas you choose to eat the food which you like. one's not more right than the other, except for the individual

I don't have that much counter space. I live in an apartment. I have more counter space here than my last apartment, but it is still very limited. And I don't like much things on the counter anyway. I have a toaster oven, coffee pot, blender, utensil holder, and a beautiful large chopping board that I paid a lot of money for. Those items alone take up all the counter space.

lol, I so want a beautiful large chopping board that I paid a lot of money for, but everytime I go to the store to buy one, the siren call of the game shop always pulls me inside

Nowatimes, that siren's call comes from Steam and GoG.com for me. Though Gamestop might have something interesting from time to time.

I kept forgetting to buy a chopping board and had been chopping things on plates or the counter, but when we moved to our new apartment right after Thanksgiving, we went shopping for some new decor. I saw the chopping board and my husband convinced me to buy it. I hate spending a lot of money on things. But I'm glad I bought it. It makes me want to cook more, having such a lovely chopping board to chop fresh ingredients on.

I own like three chopping boards.
One that slides out from my countertop that's a part of the kitchen, another that is green that I use for cutting my fruits and veggies for juice and another clear one that I use for cutting fruits and veggies I plan to cook.

I need knew things, though. All of my stuff is old, probably been around since I was a baby. As I've lived in this same house since I was two years old.

lol, that's exactly why I need one, I chop so many vegetables and fresh herbs, but the cheap chopping board I already have doesn't appreciate them the way that a big super heavy expensive solid marble one would. it makes the food taste better too *whispers* shhhh! I tell myself that to encourage me to buy one

I just reached 2k posts here! 8D

Which probably isn't much... but most of the time on forums, I always seem to reach 2k and then I just stop posting. Like, after 2k I run out of things to say...

Amane: I would like a glorious mane, as well. I have long hair, but it is far from glorious.

Menelaus: Do it! You'll feel so much better after you buy it. I hate chopping boards that slide while I'm trying to utilize them. Chopping things is already dangerous enough.

Congratulations, Ava! The true test will now be to see whether you continue posting...

I have a big, poofy, African mane. c:

I love it so much, even if it's not long. <3
I told myself I would never put another chemical in my hair again....
But I'm really tempted to dye my hair blonde!

When your hair is big and poofy, it tends to be longer than it looks. In my case, much, much longer.
/I'm talking almost shoulder-length straightening to almost waist-length
/my hair isn't a poof because momma has always said no
/but after a wash, I look kinda like Cleopatra

Blonde would compliment your skin tone.

I need to dye my hair just to cover up these gray hairs I keep getting. I kind of want highlights, too. But I (almost) always dye my hair myself, so highlights can be tricky.

I don't like putting anything on my hair, but it would always be blue if I didn't mind.
