"Really?" Aria asked, blinking. "Wow. That's really impressive, actually."

"It is." Elinor grinned. "And I think he's rather handsome behind the mask. He has fine taste in costume, certainly."

"Better make sure to get his name," Aria said, grinning. "Or you'll regret it later."

"I know. I think I might find him again in a little while, see if he's up for another dance." Elinor smiled. "What about you? I saw you talking to someone."

"Yeah, I came across him after I stopped dancing," Aria replied, grinning a bit. "He's nice. Kind of sweet."

"You should dance with him. See if he's really that sweet." Elinor smiled. "And get his name, definitely."

"I might dance with him, if he asks," Aria replied. "I plan on getting his name, though I can't imagine I'll see him again after tonight."

"Even so, might be good to know," Elinor said with a little shrug. "I'm going to go get a drink. Let me know if anything else interesting happens."

"I will," Aria replied, nodding. She grinned. "Let me know if you find your cutie again."

"Will do." Elinor grinned and headed over to get herself a drink.

Steve, meanwhile, had spotted a familiar dress and headed over to Aria. "Sorry it took me so long, my brother caught up with me."

"It's alright," Aria replied, smiling a bit. "My sister found me, so we talked for a few minutes."

Bucky was still over by the drinks himself, getting his own. He grinned when he noticed her.

"Hello again," he greeted.

"Well hopefully your sister was nice and wasn't making fun of you, like my idiot brother," Steve said, rolling his eyes. But he did hand over her drink.

"Twice in one evening, I must be lucky tonight." Elinor grinned.

Aria accepted the drink with a small smile.

"I usually don't get too much teasing from my sister," she said. She grinned. "That's usually my job."

"I promise you, I'm the lucky one," Bucky replied, grinning. "Can I get you a drink?"

Steve chuckled. "Younger or older?" he asked her, grinning.

"Please and thank you." Elinor grinned. He'd shown he was polite, but she was really kind of liking him.

"My sister is the older one," Aria replied, grinning a bit. "Which is perfectly fine, really, it means I get away with more."

"Of course," Bucky said. He gave her an easy grin and went to grab them both a glass a champagne.

Steve snorted at that. "Funny, I'm younger too," he said with a grin. "My brother's about a year and a half older than me."

Elinor grinned and settled in to wait, taking the time to observe the ball. She was really quite pleased with how it had turned out.

Aria couldn't help but grin at that.

"Sometimes it's fun being the younger sibling," she said. "And sometimes it's a pain."

Bucky came back quickly and handed her a glass of champagne.

"Here you go," he said. "As my lady commanded."

"Oh I know the feeling," Steve said with a bit of a grin. "It is what it is, though."

"Oh someone's quite the charmer." Elinor smiled at him, though, taking her glass.

"Yes it is," Aria replied. She smiled at him. She really did like this one, she hoped she got to see him again.

"So I've been told," Bucky said. He took a sip of champagne and gave her an easy grin.

The evening wore on and eventually wound down. Elinor spent more time with Bucky than she would readily admit to, but she had a lot of fun with him. Up until it was time for everyone to leave. Then she realized she hadn't gotten his name and she swore quietly.

Steve had just as much fun with Aria, and he was kind of disappointed at the end of the night. But he told himself he'd see her again sometime.

Aria had also had a lot of fun, and she was reluctant to let her newfound friend go. By the end of the night, though, she was kicking herself for not getting at least his name. She really did want to see him again.

Bucky hadn't wanted the night to end. He'd had a lot of fun with the girl he'd spent most of the evening with, and he didn't want to leave. Unfortunately, he didn't have a choice.

It wasn't long after that, only a few days, that two things happened: Bucky and Steve got called home, and Elinor was grumbling to Natasha.

"So you both met someone at the ball, is what I'm hearing," Natasha said, looking between the two.

"I guess so," Aria said, nodding. She sighed softly, thinking back to the ball. She missed him, whoever he was.

Bucky grumbled under his breath as he gathered the few things he'd accumulated.

"I don't see why we have to go back," he muttered. "We're doing fine here."

"But you didn't get their names." Natasha frowned a bit.

"No. But we do know that they're brothers. One has dark hair on the longer side, one is blonde." Elinor shrugged.

"I know," Steve said with a little sigh. "I expect we'll find out what's going on once we get back home."

"We didn't exactly give them our names," Aria pointed out as well. "So we couldn't expect them to give us theirs."

Bucky nodded and made a face.

"Not looking forward to going back to court," he muttered.
