Rosemary perked right up. "Okay, sounds good to me!" She said happily, following him out.

"Alfred, wait a second." Bruce called, stopping the man. "Lori and I have been talking, and we would be honored if you would be Martha's godfather...and grandfather."

"I don't know what to say sir. I'm just a humble butler you don't have to make me her godfather or her grandfather I would be just fine helping to raise her." Alfred was blushing a sight no one got to see.

"You're family, Alfred. You've been like a father to me, and Lori agrees that it's only right for you to have that title. But that's only if you want it. We're not going to force you."

"Thank you sir." Alfred smiled trying not to cry. "I would love to be your daughters grandfather and godfather."

Bruce smiled brightly and gave the man a quick hug. "Thank you, Alfred. For everything." He said.

"Of course Bruce." Alfred smiled then rushed off before he could start crying.

"Bruce?" Lori called from the bed half asleep.

Bruce walked over to Lori, sitting down in a chair next to her bed. "What is it, love?"

"Just wanted to make sure you were there...this is going to be harder on you with your other job." Lori sighed. "But I can always keep Gemini locked up at home." She smirked.

Bruce chuckled. "Of course I'm still here. And don't worry too much, I'll make sure to be around plenty." He told her. "And if I get really busy, I'm sure Gemini will be happy to be locked in with you. Rosemary, too."

"They'll both be great help and even Damien seems eager to help." Lori paused and then took a shake breath. "Jason would have been thrilled." Tears appeared in her eyes but she fought them off and pulled Bruce to her.

Bruce felt the words like knives to his heart. He allowed Lori to pull him close, and hugged her. "He would have loved her." He said.

Meanwhile, Rosemary was debating whether to tell Damian her newest idea. She didn't know how he'd react. She bit her lip, shifting slightly in her seat.

'Ant's in your pants?" Damien grinned at her.

Lori started to cry into his shoulder clinging to him tightly.

Bruce rubbed Lori's back gently, keeping her close so that she couldn't see his own tears.

Rosemary jumped, startled. "Oh, no, I...um...well, I had this idea..." She said, stumbling over the words. "I've been training with you and uncle Bruce, but it's not just to protect myself like I told you. You have to promise you won't tell uncle Bruce if I tell you the real reason!"

"That would all depend on the reason and you know dad's not stupid he'll figure it out eventually." Damien smirked at her.

Lori eventually settled down rubbing her eyes with her sleeve. "I didn't mean to cry like that or ruin are happy day."

Bruce kissed Lori's cheek. "It's okay. It's only natural to thing of these things, especially at a time like this when emotions are running high. Oh, you missed Alfred's reaction, by the way." He changed the subject, telling her about his conversation with Alfred.

Rosemary bit her lip and nodded. She knew that much, but she really didn't want Damian to rat her out. "The real reason is because I want to fight bad guys like Jacey did. I want to be a hero, and I want to find that stupid clown and make him pay for what he did!" Rosemary had never been quite so angry.

"No!" Damien said with a scowl glancing at Alfred who was pretending he couldn't hear them. "We can talk about it at home."

"I knew he would be happy and he deserves it. The man's a saint for putting up with you." Lori smirked at Bruce then blinked at his tears. She almost teased him but just wiped them away with her thumb.

Rosemary scowled, but stayed quiet until they got back. The second they were out of the car, she pulled Damian along to a room where they wouldn't be overheard. "Why'd you say no? You want to get him back, too, right? Jacey is...was...like my big brother. He'd want someone to do something about this, I know he would! And I could fight...I could be Batgirl. So why shouldn't I?"

Bruce smiled, pretending there were no tears to wipe away. "You're right about that. I don't think we could have chosen a better person. We should also pick a godmother, though." He said.

"I know someone who would kill us if we didn't." Lori joked smirking a little. "As much as a pain in the butt she can be Gemini's the only one I would pick."

Bruce nodded. "I agree. She's spastic and weird sometimes, but she's at least responsible when it comes to children. Rose is proof of that." He said.

"That's settles that then." Lori yawned softly. A few days later she was sent home with a baby in her arms cooing at the little girl softly.

Rosemary scowled, but stayed quiet until they got back. The second they were out of the car, she pulled Damian along to a room where they wouldn't be overheard. "Why'd you say no? "Because it's not safe." Damien blushed a little. "I don't want you to get hurt. Teaching you was one thing but letting you go out fight is completely out of the question."

"That's not up to you, though." Rosemary argued. "You've seen how good I'm getting. It's sweet that you want to keep me safe, but I don't want to be the damsel in distress. I want to be your equal. And if my mom and Uncle Bruce are okay with it, then there's nothing you can do to stop me." She didn't sound too sure about that last part.

Damien frowned then looked away. "Lori doesn't think there's anything wrong with being aa damsel in distress." He glanced at her. "Besides you could be one even as a crime fighter."

"But I'm not Lori. At least if I'm out there fighting, I'm actually doing something. I can make a difference. Damian...I've never asked much, have I? I've always stayed quiet and let everyone else handle things. I don't want to do that anymore. I want to be strong like you...and like Jason. Can't you support me on this?"
