Rosemary watched Lori disappear with the baby. "Part of me wants to be a mommy when I grow up, but another part thinks I couldn't handle stinky diapers." She said plainly.

"I don't think I would want to be a father period. It would be hard to watch everyone you love die around you." Damien shrugged.

Rosemary frowned. "What do you mean? That's not what happens when you're a parent." She said.

"I'm going to be immortal like grandfather." Damien admitted. "Everyone here will die long before I tire of this world." Lori blinked a little having wondered back in at the end of the sentence.

"How do you know?" Rosemary asked curiously. "Is it something you inherited, or is there something you have to do to become immortal? Do you...want to be that way?"

"Well there's a pool that you dig in to become immortal when I became to old I will go into that pool and become young again." Damien shrugs. "Grandfather does the same thing."

"But do you want to do that?" Rosemary asked again. "It sounds lonely. Unless someone did that with you...could I do that?"

"No." Damien glared at her. "I haven't really thought about it much but I kind of want to it seems like fun...besides I really don't have anyone to remember me." he looked down sighing softly.

Rosemary looked hurt. "That's not true. You have uncle Bruce and auntie Lori, and Martha and Alfred, and my mom...and me."She said. "I'll definitely always remember you."

"Your the only one that really counts because you don't have to remember me. I'm still young if I want to step into the Lazarus pit I'll decide that when I'm that age." Damien was blushing a little.

"Well, when that day comes, remember that I'll still be your friend no matter what." Rosemary said simply, as if this fact were unquestionable.

"Thanks Rose." Damien smiled at her then went to get a bottle of milk for Lori. "Make sure it's not too hot." Lori called after him marveling at the change in Damien.

Gemini, who had been lingering nearby, walked over to Lori. "Tell me I'm not the only one who sees those two dating someday." She said with a chuckle.

Bruce came back downstairs, passing Damian on the way. "Was that my son, going to get a bottle?" He asked, faking disbelief.

Rosemary went about playing peekaboo with Martha.

"I think maybe if Damien can keep on the right track." Lori smiled then yawned a little.

Damien heard his father and gave him a look before handing Lori the bottle.

Bruce held his hands up in surrender, smiling just a little bit.

Gemini nodded, watching the children together.

"Damian, let's go train!" Rosemary said.

"Alright." Damien followed along smiling as Martha blinked looking upset that they where going. "Don't worry when you get old enough I'll teach you all I know." he promised.

"Now Damien let Martha decide if she wants to learn." Lori smiled. "I don't know and I'm happy." she took a moment to think about that. "OK maybe not." she sighed.

Rosemary smiled and raced up the stairs. In the training room, she turned to Damian. "You're already a great big brother, Damian." She said.

"Okay...now someone please explain to me why my daughter has taken such an interest in crime fighting?" Gemini asked Lori and Bruce. "I went in to check on her last night and she was asleep with a rather advanced book about crime in Gotham laying on her bed. Something she could only have found in your library, Bruce."

Bruce blinked. "I wouldn't know. I mean, I knew she's been training with Damian for a while, but I didn't know it went farther than that." He said. "I wonder if Damian knows anything...we could ask Alfred. He tends to hear things."

Lori turned as Alfred entered he heard the question and shook his head. "It's not for me to say madam you better ask your daughter." he chuckled a little. "or give her a little time to tell you on her own...I did that with Bruce when he first wanted to learn."

"I don't know why I like her so much." Damien confessed with a blush. "I just want to protect her from everything."

Gemini sighed. "Right. Rosemary's a smart kid, and she's never hidden anything from me before...I'm sure she'll tell me when she wants to." She said.

Rosemary giggled. "It's because you're a good person, and she's your baby sister. It's hard not to like babies, ya know? And any good older sibling wants to protect their younger sibling." She said the last bit with a faraway look in her eyes.

"Half sister really." Damien could seem to let that part drop. "Not that I don't like Lori but why does dad have to be in love with her instead of my mom?" he sighed then gripped her arm flipping her over him gentle. 'Doesn't matter know does it?"

Rosemary landed on her feet, smiling. "I don't know. I don't know your mom like you do, so I can't really compare them. But you're right, we can't really do anything about it now." She said, throwing a few punches at him lightly.

"I want to do something special for Lori to show her that I like her...what do you think?" Damien mused blocking the punch. "Flowers maybe? Girls like that stuff right?"

"Yeah, most girls like flowers." Rosemary said, faking a punch to the left before ducking into a crouch to sweep kick him. "For Auntie Lori, I think just helping her out would be enough. But flowers would be nice, too. Maybe roses."

"Thank goodness I have a friend who is a girl. I can finally ask someone what to get mom and Lori on mother's day!" Damien grinned.
