"I would like that." Lori smiled. "What did I do to deserve someone as great as you?"

Bruce shrugged. "I should be the one asking that question." He said. "You're an angel, and I definitely don't deserve you."

"You and I don't deserve each other. That's why we belong together." Lori gave him a gentle kiss. A small part of her was arguing that it wasn't like that. She didn't deserve Bruce and they should have never married. It was to late to think that way and she couldn't force herself to love anyone else.

Bruce smiled and kissed her back. "Okay, I guess you're right. You always are." He said. Inside, however, he was thinking the same things as Lori. He didn't deserve her at all, and she deserved much better than him. But, there was nothing either of them could do about it now. "How about I run down to the cafeteria and get you some breakfast?"

Lori shook her head. "I'm not hungry." her stomach choose that moment to grumble. "Traitor." she glared at her stomach not sure she could swallow anything even if she tried.

"You have to at least try, Lori." Bruce said, concerned. "You need to get your strength up so you can leave this place as soon as possible."

"I don't think I can eat." Lori fiddled with her blanket. She just felt sick and sad a weird combination.

Bruce nodded. "Alright. We'll wait a little while and see if you're hungry then." He said, not wanting to push her.

"I'm scared Bruce." Lori admitted. "I'm so worried we won't be able to fix us this time. I don't want to lose you two but I can't feel comfortable around you. Please don't leave me." she was crying again.

Bruce blinked. He hadn't realized it was that bad. "Lori...you're not going to lose me, I promise. No matter how long it takes for you to feel better, I'll be here waiting for you. And I'll help you as much as I can. We'll fix this, okay? We always do."

Lori cried harder and pulled Bruce to her hiccuping. She let herself cry for her, for the baby and for him until there where no more tears and all she could do was hold onto him and hope he never vanished.

Bruce waited, comforting Lori as best he could, but mostly just letting her get the tears out. He couldn't think of what to say that would assure her that he'd never leave her.

Lori pulled Bruce into the bed curling up against him. The doctor came in to check on her and blinked a little at them curled up on the bed. He smiled and went about what he had to do. "Everything's fine. You'll be able to go home once we get the paperwork finished." He went to get it finished.

Bruce let her pull him down and laid next to her, still comforting her. After the doctor had come and gone, he reached up and brushed Lori's hair aside. "We'll get the paperwork done quickly, okay? Then we can go home, and you can lay down in our bed if you want."

"No I think I'll try with Damien for a while. He'll be here soon." Lori glanced at the clock.

Bruce nodded. "Okay. Do you want me to stick around?" He asked.

"If you want." Lori blinked as a blur entered the room. "Leaving my homework here." Damien rushed back out as fast as he had come in. Lori laughed "Where you like that as a kid?"

Damien appeared in Rose's room slightly out of breath. "Hi." he finally managed after he caught his breath.

Bruce chuckled. "I don't remember being quite so...excitable. But we were friends back then, so you tell me. Was I like that?" He asked.

Rosemary looked up from her book. "Hi." She smiled. "Did you run here? You don't really need the exercise, you know." She said.

"Yeah I ran but it's alright I need to keep in shape." Damien grinned at her. "How are you feeling?" he handed over her homework.

"Not as...excitable." Lori admitted "You where more reserved." she shrugged.

Rosemary put her book down and took the homework. "I'm feeling a lot better today. Guess what? The doctor says I can go home today. My mom just needs to finish up the paperwork and I'm all set." She said happily. "I can't wait. I really hate hospitals."

Bruce shrugged. "I think he's learning it from you." He said with a smirk. "He was pretty somber when we first got him, but a few years with you made him bright and happy."

Lori blushed softly. "I think Rose may have had something to do with it to." she smiled and sat up as the doctor came in. "I just need you to sign here." he held the paperwork out and Lori sighed it. "Alright. Your all set just make sure to take it easy." Lori sighed and carefully stood. "Let's go see if Damien is ready to go." she grabbed the boys bag and went to go find him.

"It will be nice to have you home." Damien smiled more and sat down ready to get to work when the door open. "Your up." he grinned at Lori.

Bruce shrugged. "You're probably right about that. But that doesn't mean you had no part in it." He said. After the doctor had come and gone, he stood up and followed her.

Rosemary looked up when the door opened. "Auntie! Are you feeling better? Did they say you could go home?" She asked, happy to see Lori.

"Healthy as a horse." Lori smiled at Rose. "They released me with a warning to be careful."

Damien laughed. "They don't need to worry when dad's there to make sure you follow there orders."

Rosemary sighed, relieved. "I was really worried." She said. "Oh, I get to go home today, too!"

Bruce smiled. "That's great, Rose. Still, I'd better not see you up and training for at least another week." This was met with a scowl.

"See I told you when he's around hurt people need not worry." Damien grinned. "I also don't want you till train for a couple days." he pouted. "Just to make sure." he gave her puppy eyes.

"Guess we're in the same boat huh Rose?" Lori smiled at the girl though it didn't reach her eyes.
