Since he hadn't eaten as much at the others, Bruce woke easily. "What...Lori? What's wrong?" He was up in an instant.

"I told Jason to call me. He hasn't and niether he or Tim are answering there phones." Lori was frowning worry etched onto her face. "I haven't heard from Rose either."

Damien jolted awake at that and headed for the cave without waiting for Bruce.

Bruce swore and got up. "We'll go out and look for them right away. Lori...stay here with Alfred. Do not leave the house. Please, just stay safe." He told her, taking her hand. He had to go before Damian left without him.

"Go after them Bruce." Lori squeezed his hand. "Bring them home safe." she wasn't planning on staying in the manor but she needed to wait for Gemini to waken before she could go anywhere.

Damien quickly got suited up and headed out hoping Rose was alright.

He nodded. "I will." He said, giving her a kiss before rushing off to the cave to get suited up. Damian was already gone by the time he went out, which worried him, but he had to trust that his son could handle himself. They would have had to split up anyway.

Lori went to Gemini and sat on the edge of the bed hoping that her friend would wake. She frowned when she heard the doorbell and headed back downstairs "Who could it be at this hour?" she froze when she hit the bottom step staring at Joker who was just standing there laughing. With a wink at her he vanished with Alfred who was unconscious.

Gemini woke up with a start, thinking she heard the echo of laughter. Frightened, she went down the stairs to see what was going on.

Lori was still standing there shaking hard. She took a breath and started to hyperventilate. "Oh God. Oh God." she ran a hand threw her hair. "Joker he was here. He took Alfred. We need to let Bruce know. Why didn't he try taking me or Martha?"

Gemini froze. "What? Oh God..." She moved to get her cell phone, shaking with panic. "Shit...I can't dial. Here, call him." She said, shoving the phone at Lori. "I'll go check on Martha."

Lori quickly dialed Bruce's emergency number her mind going numb at the thought that joker had been right in front of her a smirk on his face as he took Alfred. Her mind paused on that thought and she choked "Oh Alfred."

Bruce answered on the first ring. "What's wrong?" He asked, automatically worried that she had called his emergency number.

"He took Alfred." Lori sniffles. "He was here. Martha and I are fine a little spooked but fine." She gripped the phone tighter wishing nine of this had happened.

Bruce swore. "Alfred? Why would he...dammit!" He sighed. "Alright, I'll let Damian know. Thank you for telling me. Stay there with Martha and keep the doors locked."

"Alright." Lori smiled. "I love you." a silence and then a chuckle. "As she lobes you isn't that sweet batsy? OW...she bite me." a crazed laugh followed by a help and then a sigh. "She really is a firecracker." Of course Bruce would have now that voice anywhere it was Joker. "Got to love doubles they work so well. Better hurry home love the family is waiting." with a another laugh he hung up.

The second he heard that voice, Bruce turned around and sped back towards the manor. He didn't bother saying anything, just hung up the phone and drove. He made it back in record time and ran inside. "Lori! Martha!"

There was a line of destruction from the front hall to the kitchen and then towards the cave entrance. It looked like Lori had given Joker a hard time having tried to protect Martha, Gemini and herself. There was no sign of Lori or Martha though.

Bruce let out a string of swear words as he searched in vain for his wife and child. There was no sign of Gemini, either, which told that that either she had also been taken, or she had gone after them alone. He forced himself to calm down and booted up the computer, hoping to get a tracking signal from any of the devices he had placed on them.

All of them where positioned together deeper in the cave system. The signal was closer to the boat entrance.

Joker was finishing tying Lori to a chair while Martha sat petting the hyenas who where keeping her quiet.

Getting the location, Bruce went to stock up on weapons just in case, and then headed off to find everyone.

Gemini appeared right then, looking furious. She wasn't holding any weapon, but her fists were clenched. She approached Joker, eyes flashing dangerously. "You." She spat. "I have had enough of your crap. Untie Lori, now, before I start punching."

"Oh no, no, no. This party isn't for you." Joker laughed. "Besides take one more step and the Hyena's will eat the child before you can blink." he gestured to the Hyena's who chuckled. "So be a good girl and shoo."

Gemini snarled and halted her approach, but pulled out a gun. "I am going nowhere. Those filthy mutts of yours, however, are about to go away forever." She wasted no time in shooting, twice in rapid succession. Even if the shots didn't kill, they would mortally wound the hyenas.

"no kill doggies." Martha wailed as they hyena's dodged away yelping. "No, no Aunty. My doggies." she pouted. "Leave them alone." she actually stood in front of them though she was so small it didn't really work.

"Oh that's hilarious." Joker smirked and then advanced on Gemini. "Now don't make the girl cry. We wouldn't want that." he snickered. "I have a plan already in motion." A hand fell on Gemini's arms yanking them down. "Thank you Harvey." he smiled at Two face who just frowned a little.

Gemini jerked herself out of the man's grasp and fired at Joker. "To protect that child, I would kill them a thousand times over!" She lunged at him, intent on finishing the job. She wasn't about to go down without a fight.

Joker ducked behind Rose. "Careful you might hit someone you don't want to." he laughed as Harvey tried to wrestle the gun from Gemini. "Come on Harvey we have a party to start." he frowned. Harvey scolded doing his best not to get hit by a bullet.

"Don't you dare threaten my daughter!" Gemini thrashed and fought like a wildcat, getting quite a few good hits in before she could be subdued. Ultimately, it was Rosemary who subdued her.

"Mom, stop!" Rose called, making her mother pause. "His death belongs to me." Her voice was venomous, her expression livid. She watched Gemini stop, nodding- agreeing to let Rose have that satisfaction.
