Lori was sitting in the back and fell asleep with Martha's head on her lap.

Richard smiled a little. "She really is a great mom." he remember when use to let him do that even though he was to old to sleep that way.

Bruce looked over at them and smiled. "Yes, she is. And a great wife, and a great everything else, too." He said.

"yeah." Richard nodded then jumped as Lori came to screaming. "Jeez! Lori calm down." he grunted when she punched him. "OW!"

Bruce jumped and lunged forward, pinning Lori's arms down. "Lori! Lori, it's me, relax! It's okay, you're safe."

Lori blinked and him and took a deep breath before she started to cry softly. "I'm so sorry Richard." she stared at the bruise that was forming on his cheek.

"It's fine." Richard assured her.

Bruce let up a little and pulled Lori close, hugging her. "It's alright. What happened, my love? A nightmare?" He asked her softly.

"yeah a nightmare but he can't bother us anymore." Lori sank against him glad when the cab finally stopped at the manor. Richard took Martha to bed and decided to stay with her for the night while Lori stayed with Bruce not letting go of his hand for a second.

Damien watched Martha draw something that looked vaguely like a mouse. It was hard to believe a month had passed since Joker had been killed. He had been going out with Rose almost every day on dates and then at night as Richards sidekicks. The little girl seemed to be the only one not changed by what had happened.

Lori was staring at the walls, she had been off ever since Joker had kidnapped her. She couldn't tell what was wrong with her though it was partly having to deal with the police looking into the murder of Talia Al Ghul and they had been to question her several times.

Rosemary was at home, getting dressed. It was her and Damian's one-month anniversary, and she wanted to do something nice. She had saved up enough money to treat them both to dinner and a movie. Satisfied that she looked alright, she told her mother she was leaving and headed out.

Bruce found Lori and sat next to her. He didn't speak, just sat in silence and let her think. He had done everything possible to clear her name in the investigation of Talia's death, but she was still upset, it seemed. After a few minutes, he finally spoke. "What are you thinking?" He asked.

"I'm just thinking." Lori sighed then blinked as Alfred lead Gordan in. "Again?" she scowled. "We found the body." Gordan said simple. Lori froze there was no way that was possible Ivy had promised she would take care of the body and usually that meant she feed them to her plants. "There's enough evidence on the body to put you in jail for a long time. I;m going to suggested house arrest or a short stay in Arkham since it was self defense...of sorts."

Bruce stood up, partially blocking Lori from sight. "I would like to know exactly what evidence you have that makes you so sure Lori is responsible. And I want hard evidence, not speculation."

"It's not. We have solid evidence. I can't go into details because there finishing up the report and technically I shouldn't be here but...there where fingers prints, they matched Lori's. I'm sorry Bruce." Gordan sighed. "If there was anyway I could just sweep this away I would but the evidence is against her."

Bruce looked furious. "We will be taking this to court. I hope for your sake your evidence can't be tied to any of the criminal women who tend to gravitate towards my wife."

"We already arrested them." Gordan sighed. "We are also sending someone to find her friend." "You can't go after Gemini." Lori paled. "I'll take all the blame if you don't arrest Gemini."

Damien had entered just then with Martha following him.

"You can't arrest Gemini, and you won't take Lori!" Bruce said. "Lori, you will not take the blame for Gemini. You know how she would react to that. Besides, they have nothing to use against her."

Gordan took a breath. "Bruce get out of the way or I'll arrest you as well." he frowned. "I came as a friends but that can change fast enough."

"Its alright Bruce." Lori hugged him tightly. "I'll be fine." she smiled. "Besides if they do put me in Arkham I have support." she smirked a little.

It was clear the moment Bruce gave up. He seemed to deflate, his shoulders slumped and he sighed. "...Alright. But I will get you out of there, Lori. I promise." He hugged her.

At around the same time, Gemini was doing exactly what Lori wanted to do. She allowed herself to be arrested, accepting responsibility so that Lori wouldn't have to.

"I know you will." Lori kissed him. "Besides I kind of need this. I've felt so terrible ever since...I need to do this." she let Gordan arrest her smiling at Damien as she passed him.

"There not really going to take her to Arkham are they?" Damien looked worried.

Bruce nodded and watched Lori leave. Then he looked at Damian with determined eyes. "Not as long as I'm alive." He answered, and started for the door. He had some work to do.

That was when Rosemary walked in. "Hello...? Damian, what's going on? I just saw people taking auntie away, and uncle Bruce looked super mad..."

"They arrested Lori." Damien frowned. "They found Talia's body with enough evidence to arrest the whole group."

Rosemary felt her stomach drop. "Oh no. Is there anything we can do? If I can help at all- oh no. Mom! She'll take all the blame if they come for her!"

"Yeah but Lori isn't going to take that lying down." Damien sighed. "I think the best me can do is protect the city and if dad needs us be there for them."

Lori sat in lock up with the girls. Pam and Selina where glaring at a couple boys who were whistling at them. "Well this sucks." Lori sighed. "But it's good. I need this." Both villains frowned at her.
