"Oh, yeah." Gemini said with a chuckle. "Believe it or not, she was much more spazzy when we were kids. Her poor parents didn't know what to do with her. The only way I've ever been able to describe Lori is...she's Lori." She laughed. "That's all I've got, unfortunately. But the good part is you never get bored with her around."

Bruce smiled and stopped walking, pulling Lori up to him. "You're right. I should take advantage of that opportunity." He said, then leaned down and kissed her deeply.

"I didn't know it was possible to be more spazzy." Jason smirked trying to picture something spazzier. "What about Bruce what was he like as a kid?"

Lori blushed and gripped his shirt tightly as they kissed.

"Bruce was really different as a kid. He was happy and energetic and really open with everyone. Some things were the same, though. Like, he was always outside, he hated being locked up in school, he was really smart, and he was great at negotiating with people. He basically had the perfect personality to balance out Lori's insanity." Gemini said.

Bruce didn't stop until he couldn't breathe anymore, and then he pulled away just a little bit. "So worth it." He said.

"I wonder what that was like." Jason mused then shook his head. "I'll never know know will I?" He shrugged and tried to think of something else to ask.

Lori stood panting a little. "What?" She asked looking very dazed.

Gemini's smile diminished a bit. "No, maybe not..." She said. "Of course, Bruce has always been full of surprises. Maybe going out with Lori and having you around will help him open up a bit. What he really needs is someone to talk to. Alfred is great, but he's only one person."

"Kissing you standing in the middle of a hospital hallway. Totally worth it." Bruce said with a smile.

"He has Lori who will search out the truth no matter and then make him say it out loud." Jason chuckled then grimaced at the idea of Lori going on a truth search. "That would be kind of scary actually."

Lori blushed then took his hand. "meh." she pouted a little then chuckled. "You are something else you know?" she started plating Gemini some food humming a little.

Gemini chuckled. "You have no idea." She said. "But you have things you can talk to him about that Lori can't, too."

"I know. But so are you." Bruce said. "That's why you're so great."

"All we talk about is crime and how to fight...lately he's trying to get me into school." Jason grimaced at the idea.

Lori blushed and handed him the tray getting two trays for them. "What would you like?" She asked steering the conversation to something safe.

"He probably thinks talking about anything else is too sore a subject." Gemini pointed out. "School, huh? Gross. But school can be fun sometimes, better than hanging around bored all day. And if you go, it'll be easier to get Rosemary to go when she's old enough."

Bruce chuckled, taking the tray. "Anything's fine. It's hospital food, so I'm not too picky." He said. Even though it was a nice hospital with better food than usual, it was still hospital food.

Lori chuckle and gave him some food before giving herself some food . "Lets head back.' she balanced both of there plates as they walked back to Gemini.

Jason frowned a little. "Well maybe I'll go for a day and try it out." he sighed.

"Right." Bruce said, following Lori back.

"That's a smart thing to do. You should always try something before you decide you don't like it." Gemini said. "Oh, looks like the food's back. So, did you two have a nice walk to the cafeteria?" She asked with a knowing smile.

Bruce did his best not to blush. "Fine. No teasing, or you won't get your food." He threatened. "And what about you? What kind of horrible secrets did you tell him?"

'She didn't tell me anything I couldn't have guessed on my own." Jason smiled at Lori as she handed him a plate. "Thanks."

"Bruce give her the food so we can all eat." Lori sighed rolling her eyes.

Bruce chuckled and gave Gemini her plate. "Enjoy the hospital's finest." He said.

"Ah, fine dining at it's best." Gemini kidded, taking her plate and digging in.

"Do they always do that?" Jason smirked. "Only when Bruce thinks his man pride is in danger...so yeah they do this a lot." Lori chuckled eating slowly.

"Wow Lori, you just threw him under the bus." Gemini giggled. "So Bruce often feels threatened as a man? I'm not surprised."

Bruce scowled. "Stop that." He said petulantly, causing Gemini to giggle more. "I am totally secure in my masculinity." He added.

"I said his pride not his masculinity." Lori chuckled at Bruce. "Slight difference." Jason was biting his lip trying to keep from laughing. "I mean you to act like complete children sometimes." Lori sighed.

Gemini grinned widely. "It's fun to be a child sometimes. We're in our twenties, after all, and that's what twenty-somethings typically do. At least until they get a reason to grow up." She said, glancing over at the still-sleeping Rosemary.

"So does that mean you're going to start acting grown up now?" Bruce asked, ignoring the comments about his pride.

"I don't know, Mr. big-shot business owner, should I? Or can I cruise around and get drunk at parties like you do?" Gemini shot back.

"You know that's not how it is..." Bruce countered, although he knew that there was no way for her to know that. She was the only one who didn't currently know he was Batman, so why wouldn't she believe the show he put on for everyone?

Lori suddenly threw him a smirk and collapsed against Gemini. "I know isn't it so awful he got drunk and went out with all those girls leaving me to eat ice cream all alone." she sniffed pouting a little.

Jason blinked then grinned realizing the guilt trip Lori was pulling while at the same time protecting the playboy persona Bruce had built to hide the fact that he was Batman.

Gemini didn't miss the smirk, however. "I would agree, but I think you're hiding something from me." She said, crossing her arms.

Bruce gulped, but didn't show his nervousness. Gemini was smart, but there was no way she had figured him out. Right? "I don't know what you mean. I'm not proud of my behavior, but I won't hide it." He said.

"Right, sure. Like I don't know you can't hold a drink to save your life. I know you better than to believe the act, Bruce. What I can't figure out is what you're hiding, but it has to be big if you told Lori and not me."

Jason looked uncomfortable for a moment. "Lori mommy and daddy are fighting again." He stated breaking the silence. Lori stared then started giggling uncontrollably.

Gemini smirked, trying not to laugh, but ended up giggling anyway.

Bruce smiled, glad the tension was broken. "Alright alright, we'll shut up." He said.

"Good." Jason grinned then whined when Lori hugged him. "I love your ward he's so much fun to have around." Lori let him go when he gave her a look. "What I'm a buggy kind of person." She grinned. "Yeah well." Jason looked embarrassed standing. "Can we go know this is boring."

Gemini chuckled. He certainly hadn't found it boring when he was asking all those questions. "You guys are free to go if you want. Rosemary and I both need a nap anyway." She said.

"Yeah, I like having him around, too." Bruce said honestly. "Maybe we should get going. Like it or not, I do have to show up at work today." He added with a grimace.

Lori pouted at Bruce "I was hoping we could have some us time." she was very disappointed. "Guess I'll hang out on my on.' Jason felt bad for Lori then realized that he also had nothing to do. "Lori...would you take me to see a movie?" he asked with a smile. Lori blinked then nodded 'I would love to Jason." "Great." Jason stood and headed out. "Stay healthy Gemini." Lori hugged her then followed Jason.

Bruce smiled, happy to see Lori and Jason getting along. "Alright, let's go. We'll come to visit later, Gemini." He said, waving as he left the room.

"Okay, see you all later! Don't worry Lori, I'll be fine." Gemini said with a smile, watching them all leave.
