Ethan brightened. "Really? What's your favorite car? Mines an Impala like Supernatural." he grinned. Martha chuckled. "Your such a cute nerd."

Bruce scowled slightly at Martha's obvious affection for the boy. "I don't really have a favorite, I just like them all." He answered grudgingly.

"I can understand that." Ethan laughed. "Every car has something cool. Mostly it's the engine that catch my interest. If I'm fixing one I lose the ability to notice anything else." he didn't seem to notice Bruce's ill mood.

Lori scowled at Bruce and kicked his thigh.

Bruce flinched and pouted at Lori, then focused his attention back on Ethan. "I can agree with that. Personally, I like taking things apart, seeing how they work and putting them back together. I try to improve on them if I can."

Ethan relaxed more as they talked. Martha smiled watching them talk. She was just glad her father and Jason hadn't killed Ethan yet.

As they talked, Bruce started to warm up to the boy despite himself. He didn't want to like the kid, but it was difficult not to.

Gemini smirked slightly, glad that Bruce was moving past his overprotective mode.

Soon diner was done "I hate to leave so soon but mother will be waiting." Ethan stood shook Bruce's hand kissed Martha's and then hurried off. "I'm so proud of you dad." Martha grinned at him.

Bruce fought hard not to blush, and opted to pout instead. "Yeah. Well. He's a nice enough kid, I guess." He admitted grudgingly. "He'll still have to answer to me if he hurts you, even by accident." He added.

Martha nodded. "I know that. I'm just glad you didn't attack first. You two Jason."

Bruce shrugged. "I didn't have much choice but to behave, with your mother giving me her death glare."

Martha looked stricken for a second then she puffed her chest out. "Father I am almost a grown and even though I am still your child I will date Ethan whither you like him or not." she sounded remarkable like her mother complete with fierce gaze.

Bruce blinked, then laughed. "Martha, calm down. I never said you couldn't date him." He said. "Actually, I do like him. All I meant was that it took a bit of fear to make me behave at first. But ultimately I didn't attack him because he seems like a nice kid."

Martha smiled. "He's so amazing. Nothing like his father." she sighed. "And so dreamy." she smiled softly.

"Oh to be young and in love." Lori grinned.

"I don't feel any different now than I did back then." Bruce said.

"That's because you're still a child."

"Hey! I was trying to be romantic..."

"I think it was romantic." Lori said with a blush.

"there so cute." Martha grinned. "Sickening but cute."

"Just wait, someday soon you'll be just as sickeningly cute as us." Bruce told Martha with a smirk.

Gemini chuckled. "Well, I should get home. Goodnight, everyone." She said, heading off.

"I hope so." Martha grinned then headed upstairs. Jason followed after her smiling a little. "Don't stay up too late you two."

Lori laughed. "What are we teenagers?"

Bruce shrugged, glanced at her, then smirked. "They know us too well." He said, leaning down quickly to kiss her. "How about we stay up too late anyway?" He asked suggestively.

Lori turned a pink color then grinned back. "We are to old for curfew and to listen to them." she laughed and pulled him in for another kiss.

Damien was sleeping on the other bed in the hospital holding Rose's hand.

Rosemary woke briefly to see Damian asleep, and smiled. She had to pull her hand away when Todd started fussing, though. She went to pick him up and change him, then feed him.

Damien opened his eyes saw Rose feeding Todd and sat up. "How is he?" he yawned.

Rosemary glanced up and blushed slightly at being caught breastfeeding. Not that Damian hadn't seen everything, but...it felt awkward. "He's fine, just hungry." She replied.

"I'll have to leave soon or Martha will drag Jason out and make him be Batman for a night." Damien grinned. "that might not be a great idea."

Rosemary chuckled. "Yeah, that's true. Jacey is great, but not really suited to be Batman." She said. "Try to get back by morning, okay?"

"I'll be here. Even if Martha has to cattle prod me to keep me awake." Damien grinned kissed her then slipped into the night a skip in his step. When morning came Damien returned with Martha in tow. He collapsed onto the bed with a groan "Make her stop." he whined. Martha was going on about Ethan and what her group of friends had been up too. "If I have to hear her talk about him anymore I'm going to scream." Damien glanced up looking both annoyed and depressed.
