Rosemary sat up, groggy, and gave Martha a sour look. "Normally, I would love to hear about your boyfriend. But right now I'm tired and grumpy, and trying hard not to wake up my baby. Do you think you could come back later?" Her tone was snappy, though she was obviously trying to be polite.

Martha pouted and sighed but left grumbling crossly. "Thank you." Damien said and was out like a light with in seconds.

Rosemary flopped back down and promptly fell asleep.

Damien woke when the baby cried and in a daze managed to change him only to pass out again shortly after. The next time he woke the nurse had come to check on Rose. He rose and stretched flinching at the kinks. "These beds suck."

Rosemary grumbled. "I'm too hungry to feel pain." She said. They wouldn't let her eat until they'd checked her over.

"Please don't eat me."Damien joked as he lifted Todd into his arms smiling at him. "My sweet boy."

"No promises." Rosemary managed a smile. Once the nurse was done, she ordered her breakfast from the cafeteria, then turned to look at Damian. "Look at my men together. Damian, you look so natural holding him like that. You're a natural father."

Damien blushed "Luckily I had practice putting up with Martha." he was joking of course well only a little.

"But you were always good at it back then, too." Rosemary pointed out. "You're a natural born daddy. And I couldn't ask for anyone better."

Damien went to answer but Martha burst in a wide grin on her face. "Ethan kissed me!" she sang.

Rosemary blinked rapidly. "Damian I think a stray burst of sunshine just came in here." She said, smiling. "So, he kissed you? When? What kind of kiss? Details!" She instantly went into sister mode. Todd, startled by Martha's sudden appearance, started baby babbling.

"Hi cutey." Martha tickled Todd as she went into detail. It turned out to be a a simple caste kiss not much of a big deal but Martha was beaming.

Todd seemed happy to get the attention, and almost seemed to be listening to their conversation. Rosemary listened and squealed accordingly with Martha's story. "Oh, that's so sweet! I wish I'd been there to meet him last night. Maybe you can bring him by to visit later? I want to meet this boy who's so good to you."

"I'm glad you said that." Martha went to the door and dragged Ethan in. "He drove me." Damien's eyes widened and his mouth fell open then closed into a deep scowl. "Damien, Rose meet Ethan Nigma."

Rosemary glanced at Damian to see his reaction, and mentally groaned. That wasn't good. Still, she smiled at Ethan. "Hello, Ethan! It's nice to meet you." She greeted warmly. "I'm Rosemary, but you can call me Rose. This is my husband- and Martha's older brother- Damian, and this is our newborn son Todd."

Ethan smiled. "Hey." he was half hiding behind Martha obviously shy. "So Martha how did you two meet?" Damien asked his teeth gritted. "At school." Martha shrugged. "Rose may I please hold Todd?" Damien was hoping holding his son would make he calm down.

Rosemary nodded and handed the baby over. "Hold him carefully. Don't do anything that could possibly put him in danger." She warned.

"That would be why I asked to hold him." Damien scowled. "I really expected dad to react this way." Martha frowned. "What did you expect? Your dating a villains son!" Damien growled.

Rosemary raised an eyebrow. "Damian, I really don't think either of us has any right to judge him for having a villain parent." She pointed out. "Unless you believe both Jason and I are going to start dressing up as clowns someday?"

"Thats different." Damien pouted like a child. "You where raised by the two nicest people I know. Ethan was raised by the Riddler!" "I hate riddles." Ethan frowned. "There annoying and impossible to figure out." Damien blinked his argument left his brain. "Really?" "You try living with a father who gives you riddles for everything and I do mean everything." Ethan grimaced.

"And you spent your formative years being raised by Talia." Rosemary said calmly. The argument died down, however, and she sighed gratefully. "Well, of all the villains to have as a parent, I think he's probably the least...damaging. Except maybe Ivy? She's pretty nurturing when she wants to be."

"fine, fine. I may not like it but I guess I'll give him a chance." Damien glared at Ethan. "But if you do anything to Martha...lets just say theres not going to be much left of you." Ethan swallowed and nodded hiding behind Martha.

Rosemary smiled calmly. "And just for the record, Damian isn't the only one who'll come after you if you even think of hurting Martha. I may be the nicer of us, but I also have...a little bit of my father in me." She told him. "But you shouldn't have to worry about that." Her voice went back to pleasant. "It's been nice meeting you, Ethan. I hope we'll get to see more of you in the future."

Ethan gulped and dragged Martha away who was glaring at them. "I know you said they where scary but...I'm scared." he shuddered.

"I hope shes happy." Damien sighed. "I bet dad had a inner freak out when he learned who he was."

Rosemary nodded. "He probably had a small stroke. But Ethan seems like a nice kid, and I'm sure Lori and my mom kept him in check. The only thing I'm worried about is Jason. He's really protective, and has a higher tendency towards violence than us..."
