Omg, that happened in Vietnam(?) too! They thought they were spies from China. It was only last year, so obviously it's a paranoia that's picking up speed

lol, Britain used to use spy pigeons in the first and second world wars (hence the animated movie 'Valiant'), so its probable that many non-western countries embroiled in lengthy war campaigns would used such strategies in the present ��
